The gym requires you to leave your bags in the locker room, normally I carry around some equipment in my bag to help with my workouts but I feel, you don't have to worry about not finding what you need. People seemed respectful of the gym and put things back where they belong. Not sure if it's always like this but I went on thanksgiving day. We used our family's guest pass to get in. We asked about day passes and they said $10/visit. Side notes: there was a children's play area for people who needs a babysitter while they get active. Saw multiple bathing suit dryers in the women's locker room, ample dressing stalls/bathrooms, showers, etc and super clean!

A little boy who was bigger than my daughter was allowed to tell her where to go and try to direct her against her will. The employee present did not correct the situation or ensure my child felt safe. As a parent, that was extremely unsettling. Staff should be paying attention and stepping in when one child is trying to control or push another child around. Allowing that kind of situation to continue without intervention creates an unsafe environment. On top of that, after I cancelled my subscription and informed them that I was cancelling, they still charged me for an additional month. Being billed after cancelling is unacceptable. Between the unsafe situation involving my child and being charged after cancelling, I cannot recommend this business. Parents should be cautious.

According to the small business owner Kevin he was not in a "contract" and they fraudulently continued to take money from his account. I contacted the business and they refuse to refund the money, saying he looked like he was over 18 and could legally consent to the paperwork. Kevin was abruptly rude and hung up on me and when calling back I was told he was busy and a lady spoke with me. Bottom line is Gym and Juice allowed a minor sign documents without verification of age which makes them not legally binding. They did not care if I posted negative reviews and will probably dispute the facts saying as a small business they have bills to pay and refused to refund "membership" fees. If you choose to use this business be aware they are thieves and do not care about customer service or the fact that what they did is illegal. Get a membership at a real gym and enjoy better service and benefits.

This time was for an event being held in a large meeting room off the lobby. The location is on the portion of Newtown Road where the road turns east & the remainder is called Diamond Springs Road. This portion of the road actually runs between Haygood Road and that split. On the campus of buildings are also two elementary schools. The land, previously a farm, was donated to the city by the Williams Family, There are definite positives & negatives to the indoor pool. It appeared from my viewpoint to be slightly smaller than that of Bayside Rec Center. The walking lanes are fantastic for those who enjoy or need that experience for therapeutic reasons. But it does take away from the pool space for those who go to swim or just splash. There are outside activities that aren't available at Bayside. A large connected & fenced splash area was great for younger kids running through the water on a hot day. It gave the feel of a series of stationary underground sprinklers. I viewed an enclosed skate board ramp. Adjacent to that was something being used that was below ground level. I'm not sure what type of activity was involved. I didn't venture further down the meeting room hall. But the large glass window room in which my event was held was great & very accessible. One big flaw was the lack of handicapped parking spaces. I only saw four & had to park in hinterlands in terrible heat. This Rec Center is a great addition to this part of Bayside. It's walking distance from a lot of condo's & apartments. So kids can get there very easily in the summer. The Williams family's land donation is being put to good use.

Since my go-to rec center was having a check-up, I have been trying out different rec centers in…read morethe area. I'll say that I had a very pleasant experience at Williams Farm. To be perfectly honest, I had no idea this rec center even existed, but I'm glad that I know about it. The rec center has all of the features of the other local rec centers - pool, open gym, weight room, cardio machines, indoor track, clean (very important) locker rooms, and free (and plentiful) lockers. Extra points for the showers in the locker room because each shower has an additional partition so one can shower in one partition and change in the other. The weight room is pretty comparable to a smaller gym's, but the center has all the equipment that one would need for a general workout. Actually, I think this center's weight "room" (or should I say weight open space) is a bit larger than a couple of the other VB rec centers. I noticed this rec center had a few bench presses and deadlift squat apparatuses. This is in contrast to my regular rec center, which has only one of each. I really enjoyed that the rec center has plenty of large windows so the weight room and indoor track receive plenty of natural sunlight, which leads to a cheerful workout . . . at least for me. The staff was pretty much nice and very helpful in providing directions to different parts of the gym. While this rec center is somewhat out of the way for me, I definitely will visit when my local recenter is closed.

However, due to a kitchen issue leading to a 2 month stay at a hotel, I had to find a gym nearby. The best thing about an Anytime Fitness membership is having choice to go wherever and whenever you want. There are several in Virginia Beach (Sandbridge, Kempsriver, Landstown, Bayside, Laskin, Holland, and Great Neck). When I opened the door to this gym, I couldn't believe what I saw. It was massive! It looked like a former K-Mart or Grocery store turned to a full-blown gym. The gym has every cardio machine, free-weight, weight machine, or item needed to meet your fitness goals. But it doesn't end there. The staff, Matt (Coach/Personal Trainer) is beyond friendly and a truly great person. Members are chill and nice. You get a sense that this gym is all about the members and the owners are gym-rats themselves. The owners thought of everything to maximize the client experience: Personal Record Board, Spartan Teams, Cross-Fit Area, client surveys, coffee machines, tanning booth, 3 bathrooms (2 with massive showers), 3 squat racks, 1 smith machine, dumbbells going to 110lbs, every imaginable class offered, personal training, and placement of equipment that only a gym-rat would know that a fitness center needs. The gym is robust, roomy, clean, and seeking self-improvement at every step. As you can see from my photos this place has much to offer. Never busy and easy to get your workout finished. I never left thinking, "Man, I wish this gym had this or needed that." My favorite parts about the gym top 10 (no order) 1) Treadmills that go to 14.0mph. Most go to 12.0 these bad boys are awesome for an intense HIIT workout or wanting to run a 4:16 mile. 2) 2 huge showers. One is larger than my master bedroom while the other is bigger than another bedroom. And always clean. 3) After workouts, I love that I could run to Mount Trashmore for a 4-mile run. It was so close. 4) Spacious! This place is huuuuuuuge!! And never crowded. 5) Free Saturday Classes! Full body burn Calorie classes. Its nice to know such a great workout is free. 6) Coach Matt. You can tell he loves this place and puts 100% into his clients. His personality makes this place shine, clients, and the strangers who swipe their cards are guaranteed to feel like this gym welcomes all. Such a personable person and innovator of the fitness community. 7) Every machine, free weight, cardio or little piece of equipment was available for me to use. 8) The competitions put on by the gym. Matt comes up with some innovative competitions for members to attend and even has outside the gym activities to boost fitness, social awareness, and gather a comradery which is great for building friendships. 9) Central location 2 miles from Interstate 264. Easy to get there or where you need to go. 10) If I needed coffee, protein bars, or NutraBio products are available. Just little neat things that add up. If looking for a gym membership, this is the place to be. The fact that a membership will allow one to use the gym 24-7 and have access to all Anytime Fitness centers is well worth the membership. Heck, I just check into other Anytime Fitness locations to use the bathroom . But this gym goes well-beyond the norm and is top-notch, you will be happy to call this place your home gym! Rachel the manager was so welcoming, greeted us as we walked in and answered a few questions. Love the American flag up front, plus one for each branch of the military. The gym itself is very well stocked with racks, free weights, cardio machines and regular exercise equipment, plus a CrossFit area and a very spacious studio for stretching and ab work. Everything was incredibly clean, and the members working out were very conscientious about wiping down equipment before and after each use. The bathroom/shower rooms are huge and clean also, plus a nice little area with cubbies and an honor system for snacks. But truly, the thing that I thought was the most amazing was the friendliness of Rachel the manager when we arrived, she made us feel so welcome!

The planet fitness off Holland road in Virginia Beach is clean, has plenty of machines and is located in a great location if your running errands and trying to get a workout accomplished. I go early in the mornings and there never really a crowd, really zero interaction with the people or staff except when I come in and scan my membership. I wish planet fitness had a sauna but it definitely fits my needs and I don't plan on canceling the membership anytime soon.

I signed up with Anytime in 2015 and I love the fact you can go to any Anytime after a few months…read moreof being a member. The fact that every Anytime, to me, is pretty cool. Each Anytime has its little quirks and they're all different sizes. This is the first one I started going to and it's pretty small so I would only recommend going late during the day (after 7) or late at night (after 10). They have every weight and machine needed to work out each part of your body but it's just really small compared to the others. The only thing I don't really enjoy with Anytime is paying $33/month, while there's other gym's that offer more or just about the same for much less. But that's on me because I didn't do my research before choosing my gym. The only times I am at the gym are late at night so I do not see any staff members. But all the other members seem to have a very well mannered logic to them. No one tries to hog machines and everyone wipes down their equipment when done from what I've noticed. So the environment is pretty chill.
