First off, I'm not sure if this is the correct business I should be reviewing. Their website for Sebas mysteriously turned into LA Floral Design when I was checking out but I can't seem to find LA Floral Design on Yelp so I hope this goes to the owner because the addresses do match and the websites are exact clones. I ordered my flowers a week in advanced and let me tell you, I'm as noob as they come when buying flowers. The whole process is paralyzing and I avoid it at all costs but I needed them for a birthday. What did I do? I Google "Best Florists in DTLA" and somehow found this little shop on an article. Initially, I was going to walk over to Athletic Club Flower Shop since it was so close to me but after my quick experience with the owner I said nahhhh. Not giving 5 stars because I didn't like how they delivered the flowers so late and didn't give me a heads up as to when they'd arrive so I had to be standby all day. They took a snap of the flowers and sent it to me when they got into my building about 5 minutes prior to the delivery. I did not get any updates or heads up notice so I will give them a 4. When we decided to hire Seba's Flowers we knew they would do a beautiful job because they came highly recommended by our wedding planner. But, they completely blew us away with the final outcome. Our wedding reception looked like a scene out of a movie. Our centerpieces were more gorgeous than the one they made for us as a sample at our first initial meeting. Our centerpieces, sweetheart table flower arrangement, ceremony arch decor, bridesmaid bouquets, boutonnières, mothers corsage, and my bouquet were absolutely stunning. Besides their beautiful work we must commend them for their awesome customer service. They called us a few days before my wedding to go over the order and make sure that everything was correct. We loved that they did that because it gave us an opportunity to make a few last minutes changes. Maria reassured us that she would take care of the changes. She actually did more than what we asked for because we were blown away by the final product. We also asked her if they could provide us with a few extra flowers for our wedding cake decor and they did exactly that. They also did us a huge favor by delivering my bouquet and the bridal party's bouquets & boutonnières at the hotel that we were staying at the morning of our wedding day. That wasn't in our contract but they were happy to deliver them to us at our hotel room at no extra charge. I made an appointment to meet with them because they are always so busy. Now I know why. Nonetheless, I met with Maria and took a picture of what I envisioned my wedding florals to look like, she gave me a quote and that was that. Few weeks have gone by and I found another arrangement I had fallen in love with and asked them if they could make me a mock sample, they did. We made a few changes and that was it. Last year I was a bridesmaid in 2 weddings and had just gotten engaged. I heard how florists can come with a high price tag. The two Brides at the time went with vendors from the Flower District in LA, one of those Brides being my sister in law - she went with Sebas Flowers. Those flower arrangements at her wedding were beautiful and for the amount of arrangements she did (9 bridesmaid bouquets included) I knew Maria and Sebas Flowers was the one for me too. My experience with Maria came 8 months prior to my wedding day. I reached out to her and scheduled a meet up at her office in the Flower District. She was incredibly sweet and patient, especially when I wasn't sure on what I wanted. Luckily, I saved photos and showed them to her and she knew all the flowers that I showed her and knew which ones were going to be in season. Maria was able to provide me a cost right there, and I was blown away. She didn't even require that high of a deposit like most vendors and she was even coming to set up at our venue in San Juan Capistrano. We came back about 3 months later for our flower mock up. It was as we talked about, and she was open to any changes and ideas I had. Again, she was so sweet and personable. There was a Gentleman there, also very helpful and nice. Throughout the next couple of months, we mainly exchanged communication via text. For how busy she is(she is constantly doing mockups and events, and putting the arrangements together), Maria always responded so quickly and politely. Our wedding was in San Juan Capistrano, and she was coming for her shop in LA to set up. I didn't get a chance to talk with her as I was getting ready, but my Coordinator did. Everything was as planned, but I had last minute change of heart in flower color. When approaching Maria to take out the colored flowers, that was our only expectation. Maria ended up asking her assistant from the shop bring more white flowers to add into each centerpiece. I was perfectly fine with taking them out and leaving them as is, but she wants your day to be special and perfect. That was a super sweet and unexpected gesture, but that is how Maria is. I remember walking out and seeing the set up. The centerpieces and arch flowers, boutineeres and corsages, were more than what I imagined. This arch was full and complete all the way around. My bouquet was heavy, and in a good way, cause it was so full of roses and flowers. Many compliments from family and friends, and complaints from the husband who at a point had to carry my bouquet and found it heavy as well, haha! Maria is the best in the business. She will go far and beyond for you. If you're specific on what you want, she will create it as you tell her to. If you're unsure and open, she will know your style and produce lovely arrangements that exceeds your expectations. Really wanted to like this florist as it had been recommended to me. Did go on a Sunday without an appointment and they were very nice and accommodating. At the time seemed like it was a place that I was going to order the flowers for my wedding from. I was told I would get an estimate for what we needed the next day or two. A week later after not hearing from anyone, I contacted them and was told they were working on it and they would get back to me in the next day or two. Never heard from them, never received an estimate not even a text to say it would take more time. It's been close to five or six weeks now.
