Matty and The Petal Workshop did my wedding at Mr C's Hotel and my husband and I could not have been happier with the results. The flower arrangements, bouquets, bedekin chair and hoopah exceeded my expectations. One of my favorite parts about working with Matty was his positive attitude. Weddings can be overwhelming and stressful and every time i had an interaction with Matty he assured me that what i wanted would be super chic and gorgeous. He was very uplifting and it made my wedding experience all the more enjoyable. Now im going to try and figure out how to upload photos to yelp so you can see how truly beautiful everything turned out

Sheer magic Please, look at their photos, closely. I chose The Petal Workshop because I knew they would deliver both flowers, but more, they would deliver art, that would grace my love's home where she lay on the floor, with her dying dog in her arms. I was out of town, so late that night, I emailed The Petal Workshop, sending them her favorite colors and trusted the designers to do the rest. Unfortunately, early the next day I got that dreaded message "Emergency Pet Services will be arriving at 11 to put the dog out of its suffering and there are no white roses because of Valentine's Day". My love is a very magical woman and sends pain out of her life, everyone's life, even a dying animal's life, by thanking the pain for its service, blessing it with white roses, and clearing it. In these now freed hearts, there is space for love. White roses are so important to her. I explained the situation to The Petal Workshop and in less than 2 hours, 3 days before Valentine's, they found the roses, drove across town, and delivered them minutes before the animal passed. Please buy flowers here. They are arranged with love and delivered as if by magic.

Amazing Flowers, Amazing Owner! When my best friend got engaged, I ordered a bright and beautiful arrangement to be sent to her office. She sent me a photo because not only was she in awe of the elegant and interesting arrangement, her coworkers kept commenting on them (and she loved telling them the reason for their arrival.) About a month later her and her fiancé decided to elope at the Santa Barbara Courthouse. She had a beautiful dress, veil and fiancé but no bouquet. How can you get married without a bouquet? I reached out to Petal Workshop again but in a more panicked haste. They were quick to respond, a delight to work with and delivered a stunning, romantic bridal bouquet. Their arrangements are beautiful but they are really wonderful to work with! I would happily use them again...

WHATTT?! The gorgeousss bouquet literally made me go blank and think "what am I looking at?" (an I can't even moment in the best possible way)! Matty is such a genius and everyone was obsessed with the flowers! It was so unique and unexpected and I loved it! It went so well with the whole look! I sent him pictures of my dress and my gold crown, told him to go for an antique vibe, and this is what he came up with. The man KNOWS his stuff. Matty, you are brilliant and keep doing your thing!

Last minute call to Matty and his team for my mom's Birthday... And they pulled through! And not just pulled through they gave us the most beautiful and gorgeous arrangements ever! I knew right when speaking with Matty that he truly loves what he does...I had sent some photos of the types of arrangements I was looking for ... And he replied "got the photos.. But I'm not one to copy others arrangements.. I'll design my own with your inspirations" .. I knew right then and there I was in good hands! There are so few like him, but once you do meet .. You are truly in the presence of a true designer. I couldn't have wished for anything more... And my mom was the happiest mom in the world last night! Thank you so much for making her birthday.....Matty and his team are now the only floral designers I'll go to.

The Petal Workshop is AWESOME!!!!! They are the most considerate and accommodating floral shop i could find. Not only did they offer to squeeze me in last minute for Valentines last year, but they were so empathetic and dedicated to make that perfect arrangement for my fiancé, assuring every detail met my expectation. The price are by far better than the competitors for the quality offered.

Matty worked with us for our wedding... he was accommodating to my bridezilla demands and gave my husband a choice of two boutteniores day of wedding. Pricing was expensive but you get what you pay for!

Very satisfied bride!! Matty and his team made our special day so beautiful. His attention to detail and impeccable taste creates incredible arrangements. He really focused on the style I was going for in decor and my dress and took my dream to the next level. So happy the Petal Workshop was part of our wedding and am looking forward to working with them again.

    Amazing!!!

The flowers were beautiful, costs were just a fraction of what it would cost to have a florist procure them and put them together. We had no idea, as to "our" budget, except it was given to us our wedding gift. My paternal aunt purchased, all of our wedding flowers here and placed together by family, with love. We were there, bright and early and got best quality flowers. It was day or two, before they would be used. They must be preserved, freshly and kept them inside my bathroom, in dark, cold room & cranked up AC. All of it was placed in bathtub for hydration.

First the website mentions parking on the roof and we could not find this parking. There was an area blocked off, but it didn't say full. It was just blocked off and the only reason I suspect that was their parking lot is because the exit was still open. So I had to pay for $10 across the street. Yes we could have found street parking further away, but I was already frustrated not having found their lot and my partner was just like I'll just pay. Let's just go across the street. Next even though it is mentioned on the website (I don't remember seeing it despite looking at the website multiple times) and there was a $2 entrance fee. what am I paying $2 for? Why am I paying $2 to shop and spend more money? I'm sorry just on the way there as we got closer, there are so many flower shops around the mart so I don't see why you wouldn't just go to one of those and get your flowers without having to pay an additional fee. So now, we are already $14 out-of-pocket and we havent done anything but try to park and step inside. We get inside we look around and I honestly did not find the prices to be that different from a farmers market perhaps a slightly bigger bouquet, or a couple of dollars cheaper, but there was nothing that was like ooh, this is a great deal. We ended up buying a large bouquet of lilies for $25. There is a stall in the back that had what I would consider actually good price prices. Five stems for $10 and a big bushel of another kind of flower for $6. We got those as well. My partner also really liked the plant guy and bought a plant from him from $20. Now here is where I really will not be back. I stopped at a stall called Choice America. I saw a really pretty set of mum's and asked how much they were & was told $10. The guy helping me then confirmed that they were $10 with somebody else. He then went on to say that one with eight stems was a higher price that I don't remember because I knew I wasn't getting that. When I got to the counter to actually pay, the woman was going back-and-forth with another customer about some order. They both seemed equally frustrated. Why is this important?.. because when it was my time to pay she said $10. I handed her a $20 bill. She opens the register and pulls out a five and some ones throws up her hands. I deduced that already being frustrated this is just one more thing on top as she doesnt have enough change to give me and instead turns to me and says $12.50. I kind of stumble and I say for what... tax or something? and she goes yeah tax clearly lying! Even if they did charge tax, which no other stall did, sales tax in Los Angeles on $10 it's not $12.50. The unfortunate problem is that I am black and I am not afforded the luxury to say something back because then I'm seeing as an angry black woman, have the police called on me not being believed etc. etc. so I just have to bite the bullet and get scammed and ripped off of my money. My partner and I both agree that it was not worth the hassle to go, but he really wants to take me to the restaurant across the street so we would go back to the plant guy and we would go back to the stall in the back but even those are BIG IFS as neither of us has any desire to ever go back to the Flower Mart. I feel like overall. The whole place is a money grab, you should save your money and go to your local farmers market or visit one of the many other vendors that were around the area without having to pay an admission fee to even buy flowers. Or better yet be bold like the elderly lady who accosted us as we were leaving and asked "are you all done in there can I have your sticker?" I was already too flustered to even recognize what she was asking till after my partner happily handed his over.

[Parking]: Traffic was horrendous on Valentine's Day, but I was able to find some free street parking near Stanford Ave & E 8th St (near Ninth Street School). [Experience]: Most vendors accept cash or Zelle only. Many of the shops have good flower arrangement selections. I did a major order last year and the arrangement delivered was beautiful and the price was excellent. This visit, we used a new vendor. Majority are on display and can be purchased there and then. But you can actually get a quote of what you want. I wanted something simple but still elegant. Using what they have on display that gives an idea and adding things to it. It was easy and ordering was fast. Most places do delivery for a fee. You can walk into any of the vendors and check what their rates are. It's easy to look around and see what's out there. A lot of the arrangements are pretty similar but customizing it to your liking is available. Prices can varies depending on the sizes and flowered used. I placed an order and gave them the city of where it needed to get to. The lady taking my order knew exactly where it was going before we even said it. So they must have done a lot of deliver there. The floral stands do come with arrangements. They have a sash that comes free or you can get more of a professional style for an additional fee. I highly recommend ordering arrangements here. Pricewise for my order was great. For an extra large arrangement with added additional flowers including delivery and sash was 250.00. I've looked at websites and simple smaller arrangements were that price or more. It's a deal at the flower district. Highly recommend ordering arrangements.
