Came here during Flora Clay's "Stop and Smell the Flowers" event. Located in the heart of the Flower District, you may already guess parking is an issue. There is theoretical street parking that I could not find empty and the paid lot right next to Flora is $10 flat rate. Flora Clay has their own free parking lot!!!! But the signage on it is poor so many people just didn't park there + they had the gate closed which I don't like. They sell a ton of orchids at good prices! Both small sized and large as well as pots, planting materials, and other gardening accessories. If you want orchids and to have your pick from a variety of colors, you should come here. read more

Back again! Flora Clay is essentially "The Orchid Man". This is one of the few businesses in DTLA that has their own parking lot so it is extra extra convenient to shop here. I have been a customer here for many years and brought many friends, I have never been impressed with service but I like the flower selection, I asked a Latino employee to see if they had an arrangement that I like in white and he said if I don't have it I choose the flowers you like pay and I will arrange it for you. At this point I am impressed, I pay my flowers and take them to the back he makes it for me I am thrilled, and happy mind you all they did was put them in the vase and clean the leafs and added litters 3 green things on it, as I am getting in my car 2 Asian are looking in my car and one of them starts to screams at me telling me to show her my receipt I said I paid for my flowers and my pot then she is still very loudly saying you didn't pay for building it, I said I was not informed I needed to pay for building, I said don't yelled if I own anything I will pay you no need to be loud. I always buy my mom orchids as they are her favorite kind of flowers. This mother's day I decided to buy from here since the arrangements were so pretty. I had them delivered on 5/9 for Mother's day. They came early and were very helpful about placing the orchids inside the house since my parents have mobility issues and can't carry heavy things. She was so amazed how big the flowers were! I was kind of bummed that one of the spikes had some damaged petals, but they were so huge and spectacular, I let it go. But, in 2 days, one of the flowers started to wilt. Today (5/14) it's not even a week and there's multiple flowers dying. I've never seen it happen so fast, even from grocery store ones. After 5 months my orchid is still beautiful and hasn't dropped a single flower! I purchased 2 orchids and 2 Peperomia's Rosso and Frost. After 5 months my plants are healthy and doing great! My smaller orchid has 2 flowers left however the bigger one is healthy and beautiful to the point I thought it might be fake. Location has a small front face and as soon as you walk in you are welcomed by these beautiful big plants a variety of orchids. They have Big, Small, Babies, older discounted ones, photos, peperomias, sensevieria's , Cactus. They have such a variety of selections considering its not that of a large location. Lee's Orchid have a great selection of orchids, succulents, cacti, and other house plants. I have previously bought my Burgundy Ficus Elastica, Red Maranta, and Monstera Deliciosa, and they are all still very healthy and beautiful. They also sell a baby Pilea Peperomioides for $6.50, definitely not a bad a deal because it hasbeen difficult to find this plant. I have been to several plant nurseries and I would have to say that Lee's Orchid have the best deal for house plants. I'd recommend to buy the Monstera Deliciosa because it's only $15 for a 6-inch potted plant. That is definitely the cheapest Monstera I've ever found. Placed a next-day order of a white phalaenopsis orchid/geode arrangement for weekday delivery to the Beverly Hills office where my sister-in-law works, for her birthday. The price for the arrangement's quality and delivery was the best I could find, but best of all the arrangement was not generic or outdated like many of the major flower delivery companies or totally overpriced like the upscale boutiques. Their website provides an ample selection of arrangements and by far the best variety of modern orchid displays online. The day of delivery the owner actually got in a fender-bender and called me to tell me that the delivery would be a little late. They were still within the delivery window, even after getting into an accident and provided me a timely update- with no problems finding parking, getting into the building and locating the suite and the recipient--I've had some bad experiences in the past with other companies ruining the surprise due to issues with parking, etc. My sister-in-law was really happy with the arrangement which included plenty of new buds and survived for a few months before deflowering. Definitely give them a shot if you are looking for a professional orchid arrangement and/or delivery in the LA area. read more

After researching Florist's shops in the downtown area, I noticed a place called Flora Clay. I called the shop and spoke with a representative who was pleasant over the phone. The arrangement I picked to have delivered was a Orchid arrangement called "Warmhearted" . This arrangement cost $82.00 and even though that might not seem like much to most people, it was a bit pricey for my budget. Their website indicated delivery is free with purchases over $50.00 but I was charged for delivery. In total, the cost $92.29. The arrangement I picked and the one delivered weren't the same! I get flowers are seasonal, but what I didn't quite understand was the lack of communication on Flora Clay's part! The leaves had white spots on them, the flowers were a different size and color. Something I could have picked up at a local Ralph's for way less! My suggestion to anyone thinking of ordering from this place, DON'T! Overpriced and quality sucks! read more
