She was very welcoming, put us in a room she thought we would like, and made sure that our dogs had plenty of water and treats. I really appreciated this touch from a fellow pet-lover. No complaints about her. The room, however, wasn't the cleanest. There were flies (not necessarily anyone's fault, but annoying), and the bathroom had mold. I'm not super picky, especially in these small, mid-west towns, but I don't like finding mold... Her husband was not very friendly. When we turned the keys in the next morning, he came to the door in his pajamas and didn't ask if we wanted breakfast, which was supposed to be included with our stay. He just said thanks and closed the door again. Overall, fine for a 1-night stay.

The hospitality was unexplainable. GREAT people. They described it was new ownership and showed us how clean and nice it was and they were not wrong. Offered us food, coffee, and water. The rooms were so nice and kept up and amazing wi-fi and TV service. As we left in the morning they insisted we stay and sleep a little bit longer but we had to go as we went inside they showed us pictures of their children and grand children and me and my buddy got to play with their beagle. Very cute dog and friendly. HIGHLY recommend staying here. Will be doing so on the way back to michigan from Colorado! Loved this place.

Friendly staff and a general manager that is a motorcycle enthusiast willing to share a little…read moreknowledge about the area highways, clean rooms, comfy beds, strong water pressure in the showers, along with a modest breakfast from 6 am - 10 am make this a decent value for a single king size room under $95 including tax. Personally my room was on the second floor down at the south end, you enter near the north end on the east side of the hotel so my walk, if I opted to stay inside and not park at the south end and enter through the south door, was about as far as you can walk within the building. Uncovered, but still they have, motorcycle parking was near the main entrance which is why I chose not to park at the south end. The south end entrance is locked after 11pm too and you can not access even if you have a room key (or at least I didn't see the option to unlock it using mine). So you could actually walk in through the south end and be just fine; however, they do not have an elevator or at least not one that I noticed for guests. The hotel is firm on their policy of no boisterous behavior which made for a very quiet hallway and quiet night. The king room I had was very spacious, I prolly could of had a meeting with 8 people in there and it would not have been crowded. Alos there is a refrigerator in everyroom so you can provide cool beverages. The rooms also have hair dryers, ironing boards, an iron, and a solid channel line up on the tv, The air conditioner cooled my room down to a balmy 66 degrees and with the curtains drawn and the lights off there was no ambient light even after dawn. So on that aspect alone it is worthy of a solid 3.5 stars. The only thing keeping this hotel from receiving 5 stars in my book is that they do not have a restaurant within easy walking distance or an elevator. Food option are limited as it seems this quiet town rolls up the sidewalks after 6pm but it's a nice hotel with a friendly staff offering all the necessary items you need for a good night's rest and relaxation. The pool is indoors and open from 7am until 10pm.

Looked online and found "Pet friendly" hotels listed but when we got to the hotels, they either were not "Pet friendly" or they had a 20lb max. Well one of our dogs is a 90lb German Shepherd so we were now stressed out, our dogs were hungry and anxious, we had no idea what we were going to do! We stopped on the side of the road to see IF we had any options and a deputy pulled up, asked for driver's license, insurance and wanted to know what we were doing?? We explained our situation and after he ran our information, he told us to go to this hotel. When we arrived, we were met with a friendly and inviting staff!! There was nothing but positive energy and good vibes!! The rooms were clean, and the hotel was so quiet. The awesome staff told us to park in the back under the camera so our SUV can be watched (we had a basket on the back and a 60-inch tv on top). Our continental breakfast was delicious, and we were so happy to have found this hotel. The only complaint is every time we took our dogs out the maid kept asking us if we were leaving so she could come in our room, but it was only 7:00am - 8:30am, it was annoying.

The inside is a little rundown, but what you would expect in a little motel. I didn't expect bugs like the filthiest of them. Roaches ... and that is one thing I cannot do I can go without hot water and a crappy bed and or heating or air... I can't do bugs. Monday and Tuesday I stayed in Sioux City. Wednesday I went to stay with a friend and was hoping that by Thursday morning the situation would've been taken care of...considering I called the hotel and told them there was bugs in the room I didn't ask to be moved. I just asked for them to please spray, honestly since I seen them there, I wouldn't be bringing any of my items or food in the room. Thursday when I got back I was hoping to just go lay down in my crap bag hotel, but I couldn't really even do that effectively. Bugs again the second queen bed I pulled back the bedspread, and the bugs were still exactly where they were when I covered them back up, I paid almost $340 for 7 days and this is what I got, not super happy, but I didn't see the sign that said no refunds until after I paid...and since they couldn't even spray for bugs. Why bother If you have to stay here because of the price point I get it. I just hope that you get a room with no bugs or your stay is a short one. This is not a good, long-term Hotel... and it's rather unfortunate because there are a couple restaurants in walking distance as well as the grocery store and a gas station..but unless you're used to living with bugs, it's not going to work out super great for ya. As soon as the facility I booked with canceled. I got out of there before 4 AM today I already knew I wouldn't get a refund so no need to raise my blood pressure unnecessarily... The house you can rent with the barn is huge. It had enough space and beds to hold the wedding party. The couple had the rehearsal dinner here the night prior to the wedding. We all met at the house, mingled, talked, and had dinner. There is a full kitchen and a butlers kitchen. They cooked dinner right there. Lots of space in this beautiful old house. It was a beautiful October evening so we even hung out in the open garage at a large table. The grounds are spacious. There is a pond and a little road that runs around it to the Barn, which is the venue. The next day we came back for the wedding. The majority of the wedding party had slept over, and stayed in the house. Bride made her way to the barn in the private suite for hair and getting dressed. I am married to one of the groomsmen so I was in charge of a couple little things. I got to talk with the nice staff who were helping get things set up. I asked them to add a couple little things to their honey-do lists before the wedding and they said no problem. I ran around to help and when something came up, they were quick to accommodate and help out. The barn is beautiful. I love the interior and the lighting. It is a barn. Barn doors on both ends, large wood structure with large beams. Details in cast iron and great floor for dancing all made this a great place. Easily holding about 200 people. Ample parking in the field that is mowed to accommodate. The couple catered in and it seemed seamless. Open bar as they have their own liquor license. We dance the night away in the barn under the beautiful tree lighting. The barn doors wide open for cool air. The kids playing on the hay bales right outside the doors. Being this far outside of town you could see stars forever. If I needed a romantic country setting, this is a great choice.
