Not to mention them dumping the hot rings straight into the Styrofoam tray which melted onto a couple of the rings. Absolutely dangerous. The poutine had watery gravy with very little flavour, they used store bought fries which some were a bit hard in the middle, maybe udercooked? Not sure what caused them to be like that. They also had no flavour. At least they tried to make up for it with about half a blocks worth of cheese on it. The only decent item was the loaded wedges, which weren't initially given to us. We got takeout and had to turn around and go back for the rest of the meal which they forgot to hand to us. And then treated as if it were somehow our fault by the moody staff.

The fish itself was very ordinary and not particularly of generous portions. The chips again were very ordinary. To be honest, we have had much better and tastier seafood at local fish trucks and other regular takeouts. We are stating just the facts as we experienced the experience. By the way, the servers were excellent. Needs to work on food quality overall though.

There is lots of parking and it's easy to find as its right on the TransCanada Highway. If you don't mind waiting for a table you'll probably enjoy a meal here. I had seen some favorable reviews on this restaurant, so when I finished my shopping, I went in for a quick lunch. I'm really glad that I did. I ordered a simple lunch of the Newfoundland split pea soup and a bologna sandwich. I really like split pea soup and their version was one of the best that I've had. It was chocked full of seasoning pork, carrots and as a bonus, a big dumpling was located in the middle of the bowl. The bologna sandwich took me back to my childhood days, as not many places these days offer bologna as an option. The bologna itself had a very good flavor and the sandwich was fixed very much like a BLT, with lettuce, tomato and mayo. Based on my experience here, one should at least give this place a try and if I happen to be back in the gander area again, I certainly will be back.
