We showed up without a reservation, but still they found a seat for us. It is a quaint little restaurant near the Trocadero was a true gem. The service was great and the food was outstanding. I ordered the steak and pasta and it was cooked to perfection. My wife had the tagliatelle a la Bolognese. We both enjoyed our meal and were quite full. The food here is good but we felt ignored by the wait staff. The older gentleman who first waited on us was slow and non attentive. While many around us were served together, I waited 10 minutes after my partner was served on my plate. By that time it was cold. Not a fan. read more

I had the veal alla milanese and my husband had the lasagna dish, paired with an excellent wine and we shared panna cotta for dessert, along with the limoncello after dinner, which you must have after an Italian meal! Our service was somewhat slow, maybe because we had a table on the sidewalk and had to motion for our waiter several times. The owners wife was delightful and chatted briefly with us. read more

I've been visiting Paris very so often now. Every time I've attempted to come here it's been closed due to religious holiday observances. I called to find they were open last weekend and stopped by. All the attempts at coming were well worth it; the food selections were vast and delicious. The service was great, the best we've experienced in Paris. We enjoyed our visit so we made another round the next night. The host from the first night welcomed us so happily to see us again and the food was just as perfect. read more

Sgabetti has a lot of potential. We went the night before the marathon so it was packed with people hoping to carb up. The menu is great and the food is delicious. Because it was so busy it took long before we got our food, they forgot to bring our salad, and the meat temperature was not what we ordered. However, the service was exceptional and they offered us dessert on the house to make up for the missed salad. Definitely recommend going here on a less busy day! read more

We chose the Sgabetti based on the proximity to our hotel and the ratings here on Yelp, and we were not disappointed. An excellent meal where the portion sizes are large and one dish could almost be shared between two. We had the Sgabetti Ravioli which was delicious and the Ravioli with 4 cheeses which was beyond compare. The Pinot Grigio topped off a beautiful meal. The wait staff were courteous, efficient and accommodating to our lack of French vocabulary. The breads provided prior to the meal were fresh and very tasty. I was reluctant to get Italian in France, but we were all glad we did. We didn't have a reservation and our group of 6 was accommodated easily on a Tuesday night. My boyfriend and I were searching for a quiet, elegant place to eat after the big France and Belgium match. We stumbled upon this adorable restaurant and fell in love with the ambiance and the food! It was quite empty but that was what we wanted-a quiet meal away from loud noises. The waiter was helpful as we chose our pasta and recommended the Pesto with Penne pasta. This is a must for anyone looking for good pasta. We had their fusilli with cream sauce and a for cheese pizza. The pasta was fresh and the pink cream sauce they served it in was filled with cheese which made it very tasty. The pizza was thin and crisp. Place was so good we went back twice. read more

Great little Italian joint. Service was excellent, wine pricing pretty reasonable, food quality very good. We had a lower level bottle of wine, an appetizer, two entrees, a kids pizza and one dessert for about 90 Euro out the door. Not too shabby at all for dinner. Would definitely visit again. read more

We ate here on our first night in Paris after reading great trip advisor reviews. Those reviews were right regarding good food, reasonably priced for neighborhood, and large portions. It was close to our hotel and we may go back during this trip but will split a main. Service was very friendly. I can't speak for Parisians but I do recommend for Americans. read more

Other than the tables being a bit too close one could not ask for an Italian restaurant in this section of Paris offering a more excellent friendly experience . Service was top notch & the food was prepared to perfection. The champagne -- appropriately priced and wonderful. When we left - not an open seat to be found so without a reservation you missed a great place for dinner. read more
