I accidentally fell in love with this place…read more I took 17 classes during my 2 week intro because every class left me feeling stronger, happier, and wanting to come back. The coaches are fantastic, the community is welcoming, and I've learned movement skills I never thought I'd be able to do. Just try it. You'll get it.

The worst part is parking, parking sucks, if you don't get lucky that someone is leaving when you're arriving you will have to park farther and walk. I got lucky enough though but later I saw multiple people walking in the hot sun to find their cars streets over. Upon entering we were momentarily confused because there is a small tea/cafe type area in the front, but if you walk past this to the next room that's the main area where no shoes are allowed. I'm assuming that this must be where they hold workout classes but yesterday it was set up with these amazingly comfortable couch cushion type seating as well as regular chairs. I saw that they have a patio area, and a huge rack of all sizes of weights. If they were closer to me I would definitely try them out for excersize. The opener from the event had an absolutely amazing singing voice, he made me feel like I'm in a monastery listening to some mesmerizing chanting. If he ever reads this I think it would have been even better if he didn't stop every few seconds to try to get the crowd to repeat after him, it broke the mesmerization each time he did this, it would have been much more powerful if he went straight through nonstop. Acoustics in this building are great. Next was Joe Huff, he told the motivating story of how he ended up where he is today, and it all started from one event that cascaded into more events, etc. It was a great speech and we were gifted with his book that I'm looking forward to reading. Lastly we got to hear from the owner of Renaissance club which was a very nice speech, it is evident that Renaissance is his passion and truly brings him joy. Overall a great venue for such an event, spacious, comfortable, and everyone was friendly. Thank you for a great experience.

Annenberg Community Beach House has a great location and concept, but our experience was mixed. I…read morecame here with my daughter hoping for a relaxing afternoon of sun and pool time, and while it has potential, there were several limitations that made it less enjoyable than expected. Timing really matters here. It is best to come during off hours if you want any chance of getting a lounge chair to set your belongings down or take a break. When it is busy, seating is very limited and can get crowded quickly. The pool itself is not ideal for young children or anyone expecting a gradual entry. There is no graded or zero-depth entrance. Instead, you enter via a ladder directly into about four feet of water, with a rope separating this area from the deeper section. This setup may be fine for confident swimmers, but it felt less family-friendly than anticipated. Conversely, if you are looking to swim laps, this is not a lap pool. It is purely recreational. The changing and bathroom area is very open, and the showers offer no privacy. The shower water was also quite cold, which was not especially comfortable, particularly for kids. If you are expecting enclosed changing rooms or warm showers, this may be disappointing. Parking is public street parking only, paid at meters, which adds another layer of planning and cost. Overall, while the beach house is in a beautiful spot and can be enjoyable under the right circumstances, the lack of amenities, limited seating, and less-than-ideal pool and changing facilities make it hard to fully relax or recommend, especially for families with young children.

I would rate it 4.5. People are very nice, friendly,…read morehelpful. Good Supervision. Center is clean and comfortable. Lots of separate rooms and a big 'ballroom' Lots of different activities for Seniors, some table games, but there are various physical activity classes also. Movie once a month is nice. Knitting, chess, bridge, mah-jong, Zumba, dancing, bingo, TV bowling, ping-pong, pool tables, Computer center. (I was a volunteer in installing Windows software, as well as teaching some classes and organizing the classes). Note: Some classes require a fee. And special holiday/occasions/acts are constantly on the schedule. Various Travel tours crop up. Food in cafeteria has improved quite a bit since the new chef arrived on the scene some months ago, and for $4 a meal, it's pretty good. You do need to sign up. Only comment is that I wish it was start at 11:30 as all the literature states, not 11:40+. One other comment is that I wish the 'next month' Gazette would show up around the last 2 days of the month, instead of having to wait until the actual month itself starts. Location is excellent with the TO Library on one side, and Teen Center on the other. And behind Goebel and Library are parks that also have special scheduled activities or for picnic. I highly recommend that if you are live around this area, come in and pick up a brochure on what activities there are.

I finally had a chance to visit for a Tarzana Music Night last week. What a fun event! Because the weather was being forecasted to be cool with the potential of rain, the event was held indoors. Things were comfortable, but we were in close quarters with the other attendees. The sound was great and the performances were a lot of fun. I was primarily there to see a good friend perform, but I also had the chance to see some other talented musicians. I think each one was a singer songwriter, and I enjoyed each performance. Each one of the people that was working at the venue, which I imagine may have been on a volunteer basis, was friendly and a lot of fun. Normally the music nights are held outdoors, and I can imagine that most of the year, it is a lot of fun being in the open air.

What a cool place I never knew was here! Check out their events on their website! If you write them…read morethey will write you back too. They have a small outdoor stage with string lights hanging beautifully all around, a few picnic tables and fold out chairs for when there's an event to watch. When the chairs aren't there I imagine thats what they use for the outdoor dance floor under the stars, too! A few people brought their dogs on leash. I saw a few people brought in their own food, chilled out and ate while they watched the live band. They do have a very small amount of drinks, chips, and cookies for sale at a stand but thats it so if you don't want junk food def bring what you do want. They do have an indoor bathroom. PARKING - Def uber/LYFT to them. There are only a few spots in the back you can get to from the side street (not from Ventura blvd) and thats it! So do yourself a favor and get a ride. Lyft must know about this place because the driver knew exactly where to meet us in the back when we booked our return. For us it was a calm but fun summer evening hang outside! I don't know what its like without a band playing but hope I get a chance to check that out too.
