I've never heard of TreePeople and rarely want to venture into Beverly Hills but my wife was pretty stoked on checking this place out so that's exactly what we did. We showed up around 8:00AM and were lucky enough to snag a parking spot in the lot. The lot itself was pretty packed and clearly many other people had the same exact idea that we did. Once all three dogs were ready to go we enjoyed about 45 minutes of walking before the senior dogs needed to return and pass out in the back seat., fun I know. This area is super nice and has a bunch of different places to sit down on benches and get some amazing views of the city I call home. I'm not sure what the group was, but there was a big group of people being followed by a truck so at one point we had to jump on some stairs and get out of the way, not sure what was going on. The part we did was pretty much the entrance up a few small hills and over to a second bench area, but I'm definitely trying to come back here to hike the mountain at some point. Overall, this place was beautiful and definitely somewhere worth checking out if in the city. The trails I saw were clean and the place is clearly taken care of. I'll absolutely be back soon to hike the trails a bit more without my old dogs and I very much look forward to it.

It's close to home and offers a lot of activities to do. It has children's playground equipment, 2 basketball courts, 4 BIG, tennis courts, a dirt track, clean bathrooms, picnic area, nice spacious landscape and the most important, it's kept nice and clean. This park is one of my favorite parks in Studio City. They have recreation areas and can let you sign up for sports/classes that interests you. Recently, I had taken few classes with couple of their teachers/coaches and they are WONDERFUL! Earlier this morning I went to play tennis with one of my friends. Tennis is one of my favorite sports to watch and to play. We don't keep score. We just like to play and have fun. You can walk, jug, people walk their dogs, kids, they have picnic areas and do a lot of kids birthday parties.. or you can just simply sit in silence and enjoy nature, the sunlight and have a good, peaceful time. Private lot parking, or street nearby parking. They are closed on Sundays. Kind of weird, but it's their rules, not mine. That's when people usually spend time with their families. I finally had a chance to visit for a Tarzana Music Night last week. What a fun event! Because the weather was being forecasted to be cool with the potential of rain, the event was held indoors. Things were comfortable, but we were in close quarters with the other attendees. The sound was great and the performances were a lot of fun. I was primarily there to see a good friend perform, but I also had the chance to see some other talented musicians. I think each one was a singer songwriter, and I enjoyed each performance. Each one of the people that was working at the venue, which I imagine may have been on a volunteer basis, was friendly and a lot of fun. Normally the music nights are held outdoors, and I can imagine that most of the year, it is a lot of fun being in the open air.

When you go inside the little facility there is a lot of fun facts, history and little area to read books and ask for information. One way leads you to the Mark Ridley-Thomas Bridge that goes over La Cienega and connects to Kenneth Hahn or other trails that lead to other overlooks. The other direction will take you to the Baldwin Hills Stairs. There is also a sign that shows a way to walk you all the way to Playa Del Rey! Something I would love to try one of these days. It is easy to find parking. They have tons of classes, like yoga and cooking classes for children, and the day we went, they had a blood drive going on. But the second you actually spend time here, especially on a weekend, it turns into something completely different and honestly pretty disturbing. The park gets insanely packed, which already makes everything feel chaotic, but the real issue is the condition of the facilities. The restrooms are beyond unacceptable. Not just "oh it's a public park" bad, but genuinely shocking, like something that makes you stop and question how this is even allowed to stay open. I'm talking about conditions that feel neglected to the point where it's uncomfortable just being nearby, let alone going inside. I went into two different restrooms thinking maybe one was just unlucky... nope, both were equally disgusting. I'll be posting pictures because it honestly doesn't feel believable otherwise. It gives off this weird in-between vibe where you don't know if you're at a city park or some kind of neglected shelter space, and that's not something anyone should feel at a place like this. What really made it worse for me is walking into the recreation building with the basketball and volleyball courts and realizing it's the same story inside. Worn down, under-maintained, and just lacking any sense that the city is actually investing in it. Meanwhile, you literally have the Los Angeles Museum of the Holocaust right there being renovated and cared for, which just makes the contrast even more frustrating. How is that level of attention happening on one side, but the actual park people use daily feels ignored? It's honestly disappointing because this place has so much potential. The location alone should make it one of the best parks in LA, but instead it feels like it's being left behind. I hate to say it, but I probably won't be coming back. There are just too many other parks where you don't have to deal with this level of neglect.

We thought it would be great for their health. The scenery is beautiful, the atmosphere is peaceful, the air is fresh, and parking is free, which makes this place even better. One more thing made this visit extra special. The last time we were here, I was disappointed because I couldn't find the pathway lined with tall trees on both sides. This time, I happened to run into a park ranger, and he was incredibly kind and showed me exactly where it was. Thanks to him, I finally found the spot and was able to take some beautiful photos. The gardens here are absolutely gorgeous, and it's such a wonderful place to relax and go for a walk. I always enjoy coming here.

I came on the first Saturday of the month where you can explore the first level of the mansion. It was $10 for non locals. They refer to them as tours, which made me think they were guided but you go at your own pace. Plenty of parking spots and bathrooms were clean.
