I was "let go" as a client in the middle of tax season (I now have to file an extension) over a conversation with their administrative assistant. While discussing issue I was encountering with "SmartVault" I commented that this is a customer satisfaction issue for the firm. I suppose that wasn't taken well. Long story short, you do not "let go" of a loyal client during tax season leaving them to file an extension regardless the circumstance. Especially without hearing the other side of the story. I cannot recommend Ferber & Bouslog as they did not do the right thing. I can understand a difference of opinion, which this simply was not, but to abandon a loyal client during tax season (with a track record of stellar communication and great rapport) is simply unacceptable. If you have a difference of opinion or voice a concern to their employees you may be quite literally dumped... mind you, during tax season. I view this as unethical and unfortunately unacceptable.

I was in Morgan Hill to meet up with some friends recently.  I was early to the event, so I had…read moretime to check out BookSmart before they closed on a Saturday.  Nestled in a busy shopping center, there's plenty of parking in the lot (even though it was a busy weekend afternoon/evening).   While the store isn't the largest, there are plenty of books adorning the walls and lining the shelves in the middle aisles.  There are plenty of the normal best sellers available, but also plenty of treasured finds.  Though I only spent 20 minutes in browsing the stacks, I stumbled upon an independently published sports book as well as 2 childrens books I haven't found elsewhere, all of which will make great holiday gifts.   Coincidentally, the day I visited was also BookSmart's 30th anniversary party!  They had complimentary glasses of champaign as well as a photo booth for their regular customers (both of which I politely declined).  It's great to see an independent bookstore thriving in this community.  The next time I'm in the area, I will stop by and take more time to check out the inventory!

We were clients of AdminBooks since 2012; they filed 11 returns for us. When we first started with…read morethem we had an in-person review of our tax return with Rene, the owner. And then they started charging extra for an in-person review and then they started charging for extra for any type of review at all, otherwise they just filed on your behalf and sent you your return. And while the service level went down year after year, the cost went up, even for their bare bones service with no review at all. Today we received a form letter, not from Rene or Misty or anyone else, but a form letter from the "Tax Dept" and post marked in Montana (they're based in Morgan Hill CA) informing us they were cutting us loose as a client. They didn't do it because they didn't like us anymore, they did it because they "want the best for us". And because they didn't want to leave us in the lurch, they were nice enough to refer us to someone more suitable. Hah, no, they included a link to the IRS and told us to enter our zip code to find someone. From what I can see, they're only interested in your business if you basically present them with all your documentation, wrapped up in a bow, on Jan 1. If they have to do any actual work, sorry, "we want the best for we just want someone else to give it to you"
