First things first- Sha Guo needs to fix their hours asap. It says they are open late- like late late. It was one of the few restaurants that was open after we landed in Austria nearby. We stopped in and found this amazingly beautiful restaurant completely empty. Here's the thing, this place is awesome- I would love to just take photos inside. It's a vibe and when word gets out about how perfect it looks inside people will be lining up. However; when we arrived we were told we had less than five minutes to decide what to eat. I don't speak German and I don't appreciate a waiter hovering over me while I try to decide what to eat at a new restaurant. Ya'll need to fix that asap. Our waiter told us if we didn't order in five minutes we would get nothing. Confusing because the restaurant should have been open another two hours. The waiter told us he was supposed to go home early (I assume because they are slow?) I felt so uncomfortable that I asked if we should take it to go or leave and he said no just order. We order chicken fried rice X2 which sure it tasted fine- but there are SO many other things we would have went with had we had time to look at the menu. We basically said do you have fried rice? Great we'll do that. After our server put in our order he left with a few other staff members. We sat there awkwardly while the remaining staff cleaned up the restaurant. When the food came, it was piping hot and a clay pot. It's pretty cool concept and I appreciate it how hot my meal stayed, but to be honest, I felt so weird that I wanted to leave immediately. I felt like I was holding the entire restaurant, despite the fact that they were going to be open.
I feel bad rating it three stars because I know if I had the opportunity to order exactly what I wanted and I didn't feel like I was a burden to the entire restaurant. I would've rated it higher. Like I said the decor and atmosphere is great, but if you're making your customers feel like that you're not going to stay in business. read more
