Very thorough and careful. Would definitely recommend to anyone. A darkly new patient but am favorably impressed.

I sat in my the office on my appointment day 3 weeks ago only for them to tell me what they think and get prescribed medication. The medication was prescribed three weeks ago and the insurance charge $600 and won't pay for the medication. I called everyday for 15 days and was told someone would get back to me I even left messages for the assistant Sherrie. She denied I called and left messages but I screenshot the calls and also called 25 times in one day. Then she was like oh I see you called. No one answers or return your call. I had to drive to the office to speak to someone and schedule an appointment just to sit and tell the doctor and or inform the doctor that he drop the ball or his staff in my medical needs. I should not be having to call for three weeks every day. But I bet my insurance got charged for the visit but I haven't received adequate service for my medication. The insurance have me going back and forth about approval of meds. The doctors and or staff don't follow up. This is insane and has to stop for those who can't or don't know how to advocate for themselves. But I have time today I am sitting in the office all day until the doctor talk to me about services he got paid for but neglect executed the job. A visit does not compensate for what you diagnose and medication you prescribed. Quality of care should go beyond a patient leaving the office.

I scheduled an appointment for 1:30 PM hoping I would be seeing Dr. Pothuri. I received an email…read morethe day of the appointment stating that I would be seeing a PA by the name of Albert Tao instead of Dr. Pothuri needless to say I was disappointed but I wanted to see someone that might be able to help me with a gastro concern that i had. I arrived early and was looking forward to see if they could help. A nurse's aid by the name Olu Lawrence took me back and she started the normal routine questions of what kind of meds i was taking and she started going over my past visit back in 2023 so I was hoping she would eventually get to the reason I was there today but she stopped and said I will be back in a second. Fifteen or 20 minutes later she comes back in and apologizes for being gone so long and starts going over my meds again at that point I was losing it so I asked her if she even knew why I was there for the appointment. She said yeah you are here for a follow up from 2023. During the whole time that I was there she not once asked what my appointment was for and what concerns I had. So I told her about my email where the PA had been swapped with Dr Pothuri and she said I will get the PA so she left and came back with the PA and that was a useless conversation with the PA because he seemed less interested with what my concerns were. Not once did they take the time to check me out physically at all. The PA did a search on the web and recommended an over-the-counter supplement and then said we will see you back in six weeks. It felt like the parents had gone shopping and left the teenagers in charge. When I checked out I requested a summary of my visit hard copy and what the nurse assistant wrote on it was that I was there for a constipation issue which was totally incorrect so that just compounded on the aggravation that was building up with the unprofessional doctor's visit I was having. Dr Pothuri has been my gastro doctor for years and I have no concerns with him. He has not from my experience had a good staff in his office consistently. I was very disappointed with the way this appointment went and will probably look for another doctor to help.

I have been a patient of Dr Pothrui for 15 years. As I started process to have another…read morepreventative checkup procedure. The team required a previsit a few weeks in advance of procedure. I asked to do over phone but that was rejected. As a person who travels for work 95% of time this is a challenge but I made the arrangments for in visit. This previsit wound up being a check of vitals (height, weight, BP, pulse), many routine question and forms about health and to my surprise a visit with PA instead of Dr Pothuri. Leading up to this visit I was repeatedly asked to send ID, insurance card, and complete forms. I believe I sent ID like 5 times. At previsit I asked staff and they said they new system keeps sending message even if they have received id/insurance card etc. On day of procedure it went fine and I saw Dr Pothuri a few min before procedure and he said he would see my wife post procedure or call us by end of day. We never received any call or post procedure meeting. Post procedure appt was schedule weeks in advance to be 4 weeks after procedure. The day before they moved the appt from 4:45pm to 10:30 am with only an email and text notice it was moved. No call to see if I could accomodate. After rearranging my work schedule I arrived at 10:30am. Again I was surprised to learn the apt was with a PA (not same PA as pre apt). After seeing only nurse for vitals, at 11:25am I told them I had to leave by 11:45am because I had work apt. at 11:40am I told them I was leaving in a few and they went to PA office to get him out of office. I saw PA for 2 min. After 15 years I am finding new Dr. Dr Pothuri is unaccessible and has set up a system that has zero respect for the patient. One positve note, proactively having these procedures has been valuable to lowering my risk of more severe health issues.
