This little shop is tucked away next to a couple other small places and it can be a little…read moredifficult to spot it if you're driving along. I decided to pop in on a whim today. The woman who owns the shop is wonderful. She's clearly very particular about what she carries - everything is either organic, eco-friendly, or sourced from independent designers (she said she carries pieces from approximately 12 Etsy vendors). Pretty much every piece of clothing was soft to the touch and there was a decent assortment of colors, textures, and garments. The only downside is it felt like she was really limited in terms of multiple sizes in some of her garments. I know indie shops like this can't carry everything and will obviously run out of certain sizes or colors first, but anyway. The other thing she carries a lot of is vintage costume jewelry. I pawed through her cases (and there are many!) and lusted over a few different things. And just for a heads up, almost everything I picked up in terms of jewelry was $50 or above. It seemed like Brooches started around that price point and necklaces started around $100 for the most part. Granted I'm sure there are pieces cheaper than that, but it would have taken hours to manhandle everything she has. This isn't a discount kind of a place; it's obvious she takes a lot of care in collecting pieces that don't have missing stones or damaged hardware, and aren't some corny theme (like some of the antique shops in the area with Christmas or 4th of July things that will never sell). She also has a pretty solid assortment of vintage purses and leather pocket belts (those have a bit of a Burning Man feel to them, if you know what I mean). So, if you're not going to balk at the price of organic and independently made clothing and accessories, it's definitely worth checking this little shop out. If you have really nice vintage jewelry you're looking to get rid of, I'm sure she would be interested in taking a look at it based on some of the comments she made.

One thing to note first is that their location is no longer where Yelp has it, but at a new spot. I was lucky enough to meet the owner when I went in and they were kind enough to let me own cabinets for jewelry and even look at the processing racks of clothes. I was able to find a nice ring, a slip for under a dress, and a nice anthropology dress for a $30! The shop is quite small, but there are tons of vintage clothes, as well as name brands to look through! Everything seemed to be of high value and the owner was super helpful. However the last few years, the store has been appallingly overpriced, even on sale days. And 80% of the merchandise in the store is the color tag that never goes on sale. It used to be the store was using their proceeds for a good cause but also really helping the community by having affordable goods. No longer, they seem to get their prices from the highest online suggestion, not even what it sells for anymore. Their sale prices are what you would pay at Salvation Army on a regular day. Really disappointed that they have lost sight of wanting to not just help mothers and babies but people in the community who are struggling. Also they absolutely ruined items with staples and permanent marker. It's really a shame.

The top where the wire comes out of the base was very wobbly and the shade could not sit square because the harp was on the wobbly bit. So, I looked online and it looked like I'd be able to fix it with parts from Home Depot or even Amazon. Maybe $15 or so. So I explained and asked if they take a little less for the lamp since I'd have to fix it for it to be usable. The woman on the desk called someone else. They went into the window and had a discussion. Came out, still no decision, had to make a call. Five minutes later the answer was "NO, if it's in the window we won't discount". Meanwhile, I was looking around as I waited. There was a single small martini glass priced at $6.50. It was a good quality glass but I've never seen a thrift store martini glass ( I collect them) priced so high unless it was etched crystal like Waterford. On the same table was an interesting looking vase from Germany with chips along the rim. $29! Idk. There was a polyester sleeveless top for $12 that couldn't have been more than $15 brand new. They must have someone who looks up stuff on EBay and other sites to see what people are asking for things in perfect condition or something. But, thrift stores run on donations. This one is way over priced. The staff are not friendly. The only I'd say has improved is the quality of the furniture. I really wanted to be able to upgrade my previous review because I don't like to give a bad review without checking back , but this place is just about the worst thrift store in the area. Unless you are a member of this church I'd say go elsewhere to spend your money.
