My…read morewife and I requested two skylight shades to be installed/ordered as this is well out of my scope of handyman expertise. The owner Joy originally sent her son to measure/give a written estimate and we shortly after arranged to drop off a deposit and have items ordered. Late evening the day before our scheduled drop off, we were called stating that they were increasing the price as the son had provided a bad quote. After arriving to the store and questioning this we were also told while they were happy to take the deposit that they were no longer sure they could do the job and would have to send a more senior person back to evaluate. When they came back, almost a week later, the actual installer had to remeasure, as the owner's son had measured improperly as well, but said the job was of course doable. At that time the team seemed apologetic for the inconvenience and told us that if we trusted them they would make it right. As such, we decided as we had already invested the time to give the deposit and we were told they would be ready 4 weeks later for install. 2 weeks after, my wife called for an update and we were informed the shades shipped and due in the next day or two, but that since it was their busy season would not be able to schedule install until several weeks later (~5 week since ordering). 1 week prior to install we get a message saying they have to push back the date of install because the blinds weren't actually in/never even shipped. When talking to her son, he blamed a long term employee that "doesn't know how to use the computer" and when talking to Joy the owner, she states the person who originally told us everything was in while admittedly incompetent had worked their forever and allows it cause she is a loyal person. She then verbally berated me over the phone for making them upset! Do yourself a favor and go to a real store. These folks lie, continually change their story and misled us, particularly after taking our money. This experience has been nothing but a headache and a waste of our time.

I cannot say enough about how impressed by and pleased with Joy I am. Prior to meeting her, I met with several other companies, including the big box stores. From the minute I met Joy, I knew that I would be purchasing from her. She is one of those kind and pleasant people that exudes trustworthiness and competence. She was easy to communicate with, patient, and knowledgeable. She came to my house twice, to review selections, and spent way more time than she needed to, to make me feel comfortable with my purchase. Lately, I've noticed that customer service has gone down in quality, in many arenas. He easily could have up-sold me for more than I needed, but instead, made suggestions on what would best suit my needs and budget.. I made my selections, and he took laser measurements for the two windows I was having new shades made for. He told me there would be a 3-4 week lead time from the manufacturer, since they are custom made to fit each application. About three weeks after he first came to measure, he returned and installed the new shades. He worked very cleanly, putting down a small quilt on my floor to prevent damage and dirt. I absolutely could not be happier with the shades or his workmanship. These folks are friendly, very professional and a pleasure to do business with. And as always, you get what you pay for. Not knowing many of the local contractors. My first calls were to the well-known window and door vendors (Anderson and Pella). After getting their prices back, we had to reassess the scope of the project since we would not be able to afford to do all of the doors at once. We did some more research and I came across Royal Doors and Windows. They had a lot of five star reviews which made me skeptical. I called and Danny was at my house in a few days. He took very precise measurements and photos. He even came back because he wanted to double check something that he didnt get a perfect picture of. The meeting in his office was excellent. He was able to walk us through our options, the costs and details. Moreover, he was able to show us the actual doors and how they would look on our house using his pictures and big screen in his office. It made the process extremely easy. When the big day came, the install team was just as Danny had promised. Chris and his partner we quick, efficient, and neat. They replaced three large doors and a window over a two day period. They were so quiet doing it, I was able to work from home in the next room. The doors came out great and we couldnt be happier. When they asked why I was there I told them why. The salesperson was upset because his current victims/customers were there and overheard. He showed up at my house to do his best to embarrass me. From my driveway, he started to yell at me that I cost him business. This time I have a ring doorbell to catch his unprofessional possibly steroid induced behavior. He cost himself business by being a liar. The owner came by my house after this fiasco and offered me paint so I could paint my door the BLACK color that I initially ordered. He had the gall to say that the espresso/black color went better with my house anyway. My house was under renovation so he proved my point-I'm not trying to match the current color. I'm matching what it will be. Lastly, the fancy keypad doorknob they sold me was not installed correctly because the door would not close!!! They came back to fix it to loosen the screws to accommodate the misalignment. I wasted over $10000 on this poor excuse of a business. RUN. It is not worth it to do business with this company. They also need promised satisfaction guaranteed but they don't mean the customer-they are only concerned with themselves. THEY ARE A SCAM.

It was able to identify my design preferences by showing different living rooms and asking which ones were to my liking. In addition, its questions served as a great preparation for the home visit, so Stephanie came well prepared for our meeting. Stephanie was very creative, professional, and helpful throughout the process. When she visited my place, we decided on a design together, in an efficient process, where she was able to translate my needs and preferences to interior design decisions and furniture choices. After two weeks, she assembled a furniture shopping list, within the budget I requested. I purchased all items she suggested. The furniture items were sourced from many furniture stores and I felt she did an excellent job finding items that were beautiful, fit the overall design, and reasonably priced. I get nothing but compliments about my place (even from my Architect friend who is quite stingy with design related complements...). Well done Stephanie!
