Tim's idea of good trim work.

Absolute worst! Everything Mike S said below, happened to me as well. This guy should not be allowed to conduct business. He hires all the worst contractors I have ever seen. Stay away from TIM he has been changing his business name as well. Every single aspect of finishing this room was absolutely horrible. My 3 year old could cut better trim! They caulked the walls to the ceiling? And the outlet covers (which had paint all over them) to the walls! Who does that? None of the trim matched. Made an absolute mess. All the other tenants complained because they filled all their garbage bins with Sheetrock and insulation. Dragged this project on for months! All just to finish an 8x8 laundry room.

They came when they said they would. They finished when they said they would. They cleaned up all the debris. They were polite and friendly. What more could you want? Oh yeah, the new roof looks great. My neighbors all asked me who I hired. Their professionalism was even noticeable to them. I highly recommend them for roofing jobs.

While they were here, they stated that one of my roof penetrations need new flashing . I gave them the okay to put new flashing on all my penetrations including the chimney. Six months later a water leak developed from my chimney. I contacted them and they stated that my entire chimney need to be rebuilt. I question that if the chimney was in that condition, why did the put new flashing on a bad chimney. They should of told me about this before they put the new flashing on. I called another contractor and he fixed the chimney and corrected a caulking problem from the flashing installation. The total cost was half of what I was quoted from the original contractor. I asked the owner secretary to try and explain to me why he would put flashing on a bad chimney. I asked his secretary ,would he put a new roof over rotten plywood . I requested to have the owner contact me, but he never called. I would give them five stars for the moss removal, but one star for the flashing. When I called about the leak, they came out the next day and put a tarp over the chimney to prevent any further damage.

I recently had my roof replaced by A Plus Exteriors LLC in Milford, CT.. This is my review and…read moreexperience using A Plus Exteriors. First off, I have a High Ranch style home in a development of virtually identical High Ranch homes. All homes were built in the 70's and used gable vents in order to vent the roofs. The gable vents are literally like having 2 louvered open windows on each end of the roof. In the summer, the attic was so hot it would take the air out of my lungs if I stayed up there for more than 3 minutes. The roof was in need of replacement, so I called a few roofing contractors. They were all in the same ballpark with their prices using the same materials. They all recommended using a ridge vent that would "theoretically" allow the hot air trapped in my attic to escape out the top of the roof. Next, I called A Plus Exteriors LLC, and Alex Montero arrived at my home. Alex proceeded to my attic which was hot and it wasn't even summer yet. He tells me that gable vents are a cheap and inefficient way to vent a roof used by contractors, which is why all of the houses in your development have gable vents. He went on to inform me that the neighbors who had their roofs redone with ridge vents but leaving the gables now have worse ventilation problems because the air that comes into the attic through the gable vent goes right out the ridge vent when it enters, thereby leaving the middle of the roof hot. The two venting systems are fighting each other. Since I had insulation in my eaves, Alex suggested closing up the Gable Vents and installing an intake vent the length of the house on both sides about 2' up from the eaves to clear the insulation to allow cool air to flow in the bottom and hot air to flow out the top by the ridge vent. I looked at every house in my neighborhood and EVERY house had a ridge vent along with Gable Vents. That made me go online and Google informed me that everything Alex suggested was absolutely correct. It also explained why my central air system was inefficient on extremely hot days. The lesson I learned is that there are a lot of people out there who know how to nail on a shingle calling themselves "Roofing contractors." But there aren't a lot of Roofing Contractors that know Roofing. A Plus Exteriors knows roofing better than all that I've seen and is recognized by the manufacturer as a "Platinum Contractor" which allowed A Plus Exteriors to offer me an astounding 50 year 100% Guarantee on both Materials & Labor that is transferable if I sell the house.

When there was the first rain later that week on the east side of the house the gutters were not working( no water on the windows or leaking water from the roof) everything is dry on this side. Steve O- Newington, CT I Hired JP carroll for my roof in…read moreNovember . they are a GAF certified installer which was one of my criteria. Overall decent job but 2 workmanship issues I discovered. price was in middle. higher than some others. lower than some others TJ sales guy was great. very knowledgeable and even discovered I didn't have soffit vents like I thought thus I did not have proper ventilation ( eves had siding with perforated vents however they were covered with plywood in attic no ventilation). because of this TJ pointed out I should not put ridge vents at peak ( they are designed to work with soffit vents). this was key in me picking JPC installation was done in 1 day. did great job protecting property and cleaning. staff very friendly. but at end of day I did walk around and questioned something regarding diverter installed in front of house. they did poor job in cutting flashing/ metal rake around diverted too much of gap. I questioned it and they attempted to put another piece over it but still had large gaps. they siliconed it assured me no water would penetrate. I accepted that initially but 4 days later after getting my gutters put in I noticed additional issues with the additional 2 nd piece of flashing they put over diverter 1) it was not a new fresh piece. it was recycles, dirty, had unused nail holes in it, and the edge was crinkled not straight edge. 2) the 2nd piece of additional flashing was not cut to fit the area. this area was above the gutter over over my front entry/door where there is a short side wall where garage connects to house. the flashing was 2-3" too long vertically. and it was hanging below the side of the garage by 2-3". not a tight fit cut/nailed to side of garage so there was huge open crevice 1" wide about 12" long along sidewall of garage. perfect storm for wasp/ bees nest. the contour of flashing used was stepped not flat which created a 2nd rectangular opening. I couldn't believe it was left this way I complained demanded correction of flashing before paying balance. JPC STEPPED UP sent Mike Chase to evaluate a week later who agreed condition was not acceptable they sent a specialist JOE 1 week later ( 2 weeks after job) to fix it and he apologized for how it was left. JOE DID AN EXCELLENT JOB EXCELLENT JOB FIXING IT to how I wanted it too look in the first place . LOOKS GREAT NOW In walking around with joe to check rest of house,, I noticed something about my 3 new louvers I didn't notice before. when initially discussed the intent was to space them equally:. 1 on each end near side of house nea gable vents, and 1 in middle of roof. however they didn't do that 1 of them was centered instead of placing near end of house one of gables. so they are not visually symmetric/ equidistant on the roof. looks weird if you are looking up from back of house, but most people wont notice. I can live with it but don't know why done that way. Got 25 year GAF golden warranty though which was important Steve O
