This is a great pumpkin patch to take the littles ones to. The ages are more for those that are 7 and under. The area is contained which a great way to keep track of where your little ones are at all times. They have boats, a tiny train ride, petting zoo, games, and a petting zoo. They do charge for each individual activity as well as admission.

    Petting Zoo

small but sooo many things to keep you and you child entertained. Admission was 4 dollars each and each activity costs extra but they weren't outrageously priced and again they had a tiny corn maze and other things to do for free. Also cute areas to take family pictures.

We took our son to this pumpkin patch recently and we all had a really fun time! Our son is about to be two (Halloween baby actually) and had not yet been to an actual pumpkin patch. I called on a Sunday morning to verify if that they took card payments for their entrance fee. The fee is $3 per person and this includes toddlers over 1 years old. They sell tickets for their petting zoo, train ride or bumper boats. Our son loved it!! He took pictures and wanted to watch the kids on the bumper boats. They have a snack bar area and a zone to watch movies. We chose to come early to beat the crowd and it was easy to park and exit the large parking lot area. We look forward to coming back next year to ride the train and take more Halloween pictures with all the nice looking pumpkins. It's worth the price of admission with the several play areas, photo opportunities with cutouts. Thank you to the people running this pumpkin patch.

I saw this pumpkin patch driving by. Decided to give it a try. There's a small parking lot. As soon as you walk in you scan a bar code that signs a waiver. They you pay per person to get in and tickets to do any of the activities. This is a small pumpkin patch probably would say 5 and under. There's a petting zoo, a pool where you can ride a boat or hamster ball, and they also have a little tractor rode with buckets. We did everything in like 30 minutes. It's small but I really enjoyed that it's not extremely over crowded.

We just went as first time parents. I will say it's nice and cute for little families. Their animals are so adorable. The price is great for what they have to offer. Friendly staff! Many different kinds of pumpkins and games. Great areas for pictures wonderful lighting. Will be back .

Super cute little pumpkin patch, but expensive ($3 per person and sometimes, kids are free) for its size and the variety of pumpkins available. We think this patch is perfect for kids 3yo and under. Fun little games for kids to play, one tire ride, one boat ride, tractor ride around, etc. Also, there's a tiny petting zoo (bunnies, chicks, ducklings, one sheep, two goats, two pigs, and piglet) for an additional fee. There's a tiny outdoor "theater" that projects kids films onto a screen. Tiniest little maze for 2yo and under. Everything is "tiny" and perfect for babies. Loved that it's smaller, so you can watch your little ones closely. Cute areas to take pictures. Best to go early where there are many more pumpkins for pictures. Owner also placed a huge box of tiny pumpkins out in the small parking lot area for kids to take. He regulated a lot for kids to get off displays or pumpkins. My 3yo toddler boy loved the little tire ride, petting the animals, and playing games with kids. My 1yo baby girl explored by herself and had a great time. Again, this is a super tiny pumpkin patch, but so perfect for families with babies!

Ask the Community - Shadelands Ranch Pumpkin Patch

How much is it to get in?

    $4.00

    Is this also pet friendly?

Yes very much so, as long as you don't bring an alligator, then your fine. Try not to bring them into the petting zoo either, scares some of the animals.

Are you open now (10/2) for 2021?

    They are open 9-8:30 daily

Are you open this year, Fall 2021? If so, what is your opening date? I've tried calling but your phone just keeps ringing. Thanks!

According to the reviews posted days ago; they are open.

How much is a pumpkin? How much is the petting zoo?

They started charging this year (Oct. 2020). I think it was $3. I was VERY disappointed that I had to pay $6 for my kids to pet the goats, piglet, and bunny, but it has been a tradition for us. One of things I always liked about this pumpkin patch… Read more

After a few weeks of nothing, I sent an email to inquire. Maceo responded very politely and friendly saying it must have gotten mixed up and they would deliver the rest. Some more time goes by and still nothing. So I email again saying the other boxes had still not been received. Maceo again apologizes and says the 3 boxes will be delivered over the next 3 weeks. Great! However, more weeks go by and again nothing shows up. So I get fed up, text Maceo and respectfully explain that I would just like a partial refund. He is apologetic and agrees. But... no refund ever comes. I text again after more than a week goes by without seeing any refund and get no reply. I am not sure what their deal is. I'm very disappointed and frustrated by the experience and hope it will eventually be resolved. The worst part of all is my brother missed out on this potentially cool gift that I spent time researching and thought would be so fun and unique.

So I paid for a month in advance (you pay by check either by the month or the quarter) and waited for my first pick up. Fortunately there are a few options for picking up your box in Napa (check their website to see if there's one nearby you) including one only a mile away from our home. Yeah! The pickup location, at least in my area, is in someone's carport which is fairly typical of CSAs, thank goodness for volunteers. Just verify your pick up by signing the clipboard by your name, grab your box or unload it into your own bags (if you take the box return it in your next visit) then prepare to be wowed by the amazing produce. Each week is a little but different and changes along with the season. What's always in the box is the most beautiful organic produce I've ever seen. This weeks box had a bunch of gorgeous rainbow chard which was sautéed along with Fatted Calf sweet sausage served on top of Model bread with poached eggs. Best chard ever! I've posted a few pics of the last few boxes, judge for yourself, Riverdog Farm is amazing. It doesn't get any better than this. PS... They also raise organic fed hogs and chickens. Picked up my first pork share (delivered along with my regular box pick up) and the cuts look so tasty. Can not wait to braise the fresh hocks. I was pretty confident that I'd written about Riverdog in the past and was somewhat shocked to see that I praised only their eggs in my short initial review. Yes, the eggs are great, and everyone knows it. But I can make a long, long list of Riverdog products that consider to be top notch: green garlic, raw chickens, pork chops, carrots, daikons, asparagus tips, onions, black radishes, little gems when they're available, .... At the moment, their early girl and heirloom tomatoes are truly excellent. In recent weeks, I've gotten their squash and green beans -- excellent again, of course. Riverdog prices are not outrageous, in view of the high quality. Their wares merit a detour. The farmers (Trini and Tim) and their employees (shout out here for Becky) are all super-nice.
