Tons of tempting action figures and sculptures. Books on creating comics. The staff are always helpful and willing to assist me in finding anything I can't quite place or remember. The negative reviews I've read here seem to expect some kind of big-box-store phony PR campaign from the staff. I think they are mistaking people who are naturally shy or introverted (typical comic book readers?) with being unfriendly or unwilling to help. When I've taken the time to engage with the guys who work here I've had nothing but great experiences, digging through crates to find a certain story arc with my favorite characters, getting recommendations based on other things I've enjoyed, having variant covers set aside until they're ready to go on sale, etc. I'm always greeted by someone at either door when I walk in, and even though they know me by now they always ask if they can help me find anything. I don't know what people are expecting. Complimentary tiramisu? Overall this place is a great regular stop if you're a comic book, tabletop or action figure/memorabilia collector and I strongly disagree with reviews stating that the customer service is lukewarm. If you're comfortable in any other hobbyist shop you'll be comfortable here.

It really could lead to some uncomfortable encounters with staff or patrons simply because of the layout of the store. In addition I was there with a tall person recently and the items hanging from the ceiling hit his head. This is not good in general. It's a very disorganized clutter-filled store. And feels unusually crowded even when not many people are in there. I would much rather patronize other similar stores in Edmonton that do not have quite such a cluttered/unsafe aesthetic. It also took us a LONG time to find a staff member to help us in searching for a comic we were seeking (it was unavailable). It's good that this part of town has comics/games/etc. options for shopping but I really wish that it were more of a friendly place to shop, especially for people who are new to particular hobbies.

Their new space feels cozy but it larger than I expected it to be. It is bright and colourful, particularly in the juvenile section. Their focus is on graphic novels, comics, and manga andy do a great job choosing featured books to fit their community. They also sell a collection of action figures, toys, and games with something for everyone. I most recently visited on Free Comic Book day (first saturday in May!) and they did a great job making it a fun, engaging experience with artist guests and activities. The store was jam packed with shoppers galore and seemed to be a pretty happening place. The staff were friendly and there was a large variety of comic books to peruse. The kiddos like the young reader book section (great choices for graphic novels). I didn't realize they bought and sold books here as well. A highlight of this location is the life-size Doctor Who Tardis. While this isn't our local comic book store, it's always fun to check out another Comic Book store and see what's new! Two Thumbs Up!

I usually only visit comic and collectible stores for trading or buying Magic the Gathering items. Upon entering this store I headed straight towards the MTG section. What I found was a very bare case and little to no variety. Most of the MTG stuff they carry is all for people who play standard format. Their selection is in definite need of a boost. Also, like the Wizards store in Edmonton their pricing is outrageously expensive. Normally I can find what they sell in other collectible shops for 25%-50% cheaper. So, I was once again disappointed. Then when I asked to have a glance at their "buy" list it was one sheet. One sheet! For any other MTG players I am sure this is something not often seen. Most buy lists are substantially larger. But, as I said before they only cater to the MTG players that play standard format. However, despite the poor selection and bad prices the staff here were very friendly. They were helpful, knowledgeable, and much better than the staff at Wizards in Edmonton. All in all I think I will only visit this store if I need something I know they have and I cannot get anywhere else. It was a "meh" experience.

Nerds Galore! This place is filled with sci-fi collectables, from toys, board games, cards, comics…read moreand a few cosplay costumes. Next door is where you gather with random people and play card tournaments such as magic the gathering and etc. This place seems to have a decent price for their board games with plentiful of comics. Their models/action figures are quite pricey. Staff is friendly, parking is extremely cramped even around the building. Haven't checked if they have washrooms but the layout was quite sufficient. You may need to squeeze in-between people while browsing in-store due to the small space inside. But either than that, yup i'd buy board games here. Only problem is the location, exiting can be a hassle if your driving. Recommended for guys with spectacles, or just for browsing.
