This is an extremely poorly maintained campground, owned by Charles Choy who spends as little as possible and takes no responsibility for damage incurred on his property. We stayed 1 night only because the winds were so bad that the highway was unsafe. A huge dead tree fell on our trailer. The owner refuses to pay for the repairs or turn this in to his insurance. Additionally neither he nor his manager will return calls. We are probably going to have to take them to small claims court. The pool was slimy green and the whole place showed neglect. If they had been maintaining their property this would not have happened. DO NOT stay here. read more

I honestly wish I could say good about this place. They were the only place with room when I was confirming a spot a month before move in (travel for work). Steve (Manager) got me signed in for a month quickly, had a spot planned out so I did not have to back up. Got set up. The place had not been swept or cleaned in what appeared to be years. The flies took over the RV. I kept stepping in dog poo. The laundry smells of cat pee. The final straw was the tweeker fighting his shadow with a long metal object. Now they wont even return my deposit much less my rent for the three nights I was there. Tweeker has been living there for some time. read more

I stayed here for 10 weeks as I travel and take contracts to work at different hospitals, so i was working in the area. At first look I wanted to drive away... and my boyfriend was scared to leave me here by myself. Shady is a good name for it. Overall I had a decent experience here. But....only because a few of the residents here are super welcoming and looked out for me. Aside from that it's trashy, the office is rarely open, there are no amenities because everything is broken. But I did have camper hook ups for electric and water. And the price was cheap. The staff that I saw once or twice were very nice too. Aside from that I don't think the owner has ever stepped foot in this place and certainly hasn't invested a dime into it. read more

I base my rv park reviews by 5 things for 5 stars: Friendliness Cleanliness Convenience Activities Price Both negative and positive critics are telling the truth. Good size park, dirt sites, great hookups, water pressure isn't too bad, but it is out of shape, and no where near anything... So I found this park using "Happy Camper Club" (which is a club I recommend to no one. It is a scam. Most rv parks they have listed no longer take part in their discount which is usually 10-50% off the listed rates) I got here and they guy said no we don't take that, I showed him that the park was listed and showed him the discount I thought we were supposed to receive. He apologized and said he'd give us the discount anyway since we planned our trip on that premise. But when we checked in, he did not give us the discount, only 10% off the entire 5 day stay. close to 200$. This rv park is not worth that much to stay for what you get. Whatever Be prepared and don't believe the website! Came here because the site still advertises a store, pool, arcade, etc. None of that is in service, totally bunk. The store was in the office but the shelves were bare. No supplies for us. Thank god they had water cause we don't have a water filter. If you are stationary, have your own food and supplies because they have nothing. The campground looks half abandoned. Only people that were there were permanent residents and never saw a person. It was a KOA but definitely not anymore. It's a shame because it has a great a layout for an rv park, but management does not invest in their appearance. Construction work against he highway has even taken over some of the land inside of the park. Blocking off access to some tent spots and walking paths. Literally EVERYTHING besides the main office is either closed or. broken and that's no exaggeration. You'll see if you stop here. The park was built in the 70s and it doesn't look like they upgraded anything. A tree was locked over the pool area too, it should be first priority to get that out of there. Get a chainsaw and make a day project! Lots of trash everywhere in the campsites I saw as I walked around. Although, the staff was pretty laid back and friendly. Seems to be family owned now. A little bit unorganized but still the only good part about the park. That's where the get the star. Just overall disappointed, I'm a nature freak and I've been traveling the country in my rv, this is probably the worst park I've been to so far. Again it could be so nice and family oriented if management took some more time to invest in their appearance or invest in changing the website so it's more honest. We actually had a better time staying at the Pilot for free, receiving more accommodations, just 12 miles down the 15 S. read more

Needed a place to stop for 1 night. Place is mostly full time people staying in tents, pop ups, etc. Very unkempt.

Came here past midnight not knowing whether they offered night check-ins, but the process was very easy. Although a slight misunderstanding occurred in the morning, I was always treated with friendliness, courtesy, and respect! The staff was welcoming, and accommodated our every request. Freeway noise was a problem, but it just comes with the location. Facilities were very clean and well maintained, although some were out of order. Thanks a bunch! Would recommend as an alternative to the midpoint-Vegas trip motel stay if that's your thing. read more

A former KOA in Victorville. I found this to be a pleasant surprise and a break from expensive motels or sleazy ones in Apple Valley. I like to camp so this was perfect while staying in the city. Rates were about $25 a day for a square space to set up tent. It's near the freeway so there was some road noise, but not enough to disturb me. Bring ear plugs if sensitive. There are cabins next to the tent sites, and those looked fun. The pool was nearby but it was winter so probably closed. The rec room has seen better days. I'm not sure anything worked in there. Found snacks and such in the registration lobby, and staff was friendly. The showers clean and everything functioned nice. Stayed for two or three nights and loved it. I would go back for sure and probably will later this year. If I have a chance in opinion I'll update! read more

Only stay here as an absolute last option. There are signs throughout the facility indicating things are 'out of order' or being repaired but the signs look like they've been up for a while and there is no indication of any effort to repair them. The ceiling is about to collapse in one section of the women's restroom. Another challenge is all the ants! We went to hook up our trailer and were attacked by hundreds of ants that crawled onto our shoes and up our legs. They were everywhere! We left in the morning without showering as we agreed we might feel more dirty if we had used the facility to clean up a bit before getting back on the road. We won't be back. read more

Shady Oasis Estates - Grillin some ribs - Campgrounds Near Me - Victorville, California

My family and I called ahead to let them know we would be coming in after hours. They gave us 3 spaces to choose. The next morning they asked us when we were leaving (we were staying for the month). So they made us move! It's not fun moving a 40ft trailer. They told us that the back of the camp is for full timers. So we went to the back and I was honestly scared. Run down trailers, trash and junk piles everywhere, branches haven't been trimmed. Oh and the first shower has a hole in the floor. They don't landscape or have a crew come and clean around the pool so every morning there is all sorts of debris in the pool. I don't think they've ever used a leaf blower to clean up. I wanted to leave after 3 days and when I asked for my refund they refused. Saying we signed a paper saying no refunds. We are still here :( and not happy. We couldn't afford to lose $500 though. read more

This is the most sheisty oasis ever !! We were trying to get home to family when we had a blowout on our camper we got towed to the RV park I was told that it was safe . We went to sleep and around 2 am until 9am. Someone walked right into our trailor stealing our two mountain bikes both were expensive and apparently the homeless come thru the fence and take off with peoples belongings we fell victim !!! We suggest everyone be vigilant of these hobo camps and keep your eyes peeled for any of the sites near the fencing as it's easy for them to case you out like we we were and we are on the hunt for our bikes because it's happened twice And the shady Oasis is under suspect for harboring this kind of behavior it seemed like a possible inside job read more

Wow, this place was a surprise, I'd expected a lot better. Let me explain, this place at best would be good for a quick overnight stop en-route to someplace else. The park used to be a KOA (which is obvious by some of the KOA-related signs spread around the park) and at one time it's obvious that it was clean and well maintained, but not now. Many of the tree's are dead, there is debris everywhere. The men's restroom had obviously not been cleaned in a long time. An old broken-down truck which has been sitting in the same parking spot for so long one of the tires is flat was a nice touch. The rear-portion of the park is rented on a monthly basis to full-time residents. There also seems to be a large population of homeless people living near-by in the river bottom. No restaurants close-by either and I made sure that when I left to drive to Apple Valley for dinner I locked everything away in my trailer. I'm giving two stars because the girl working the at the store was friendly and gave me a discount since all I needed was electric for my rig while at the same time patiently trying to give directions to a meth-head who was in the the store and kept asking for directions to the 395. I'm glad this campground exists as stopping here for the night helped to break-up a long drive into a more relaxing two-day trip, however I wish I'd ventured further into Apple Valley where there are two other campgrounds 15 mins away which driving-by looked pretty nice. read more

Lots of shade trees and nice mini mart. When I drove around I could tell that this place used to be really great. The cabins are cute and the tent camping sites look ok but the back (long term) sited are very run down. Poorly maintained. One trailer is surrounded by beer cans. I just camped here for a night and I have to say, I had a good time. It is close to the 15 so it is a bit noisy, but I did not let that keep us from having a good time. We stayed in a cabin which was good for the night. The AC worked great and the bed was just comfortable enough. Remember, we are camping. It was very hot so we spent a few hours in the pool. Then we played ping pong in the rec room for 50 cents. 50 cents! might as well say it's free. There are a few arcade games in the rec room but they were off. I'm assuming they can be turned on but I am not sure. After dinner we played a little basketball. There is one half court, but it was all we needed. Overall, we had a great experience. We had a great time spending time as a family which is why I love camping. read more

Favorite campground ever! We try to come once a month and wish we could spend more time here. The remodeled restrooms are a huge plus!

First time I was there it was Memorial Day weekend Bathrooms were being worked on so there was lumber tile and very dirty the showers were new and cleane, the toilets were dirty but at least they did clean them so we went back last weekend the rest rooms were absolutely filthy the new showers floors had hair the toilets were horribly filthy and were not cleaned. Second day I went to ask if we can clean the bathroom I was told they were on the way to be cleaned but never were we where told New Owners don't want to hire anyone to help the 3 people already working there, by the way they never finished working on the bathrooms lumber and tile still sitting in the filthy bathrooms. read more

HORRIBLE experience here! Only stayed one night with a group over 25 people and 8 cabins. Cut our weekend short due to infestation of roaches n black widows. Spiders are one thing, but roaches, hell no! Bathrooms were horrible, game room closed early n arcade games didn't work or weren't turned on. Pool was ok, but closed early. Complained to front desk and was refunded for Fri/Sat. Our whole group left early Saturday morning. Will not recommend this place to anybody. I was told it doesn't deserve one star. Suprised this place is still open for business.my family wanted to get together to re live our old camping days with my aunt who loved to go camping with my uncle who passed.she recently has lost a leg due to a spider bite but it hasnt kept her from doing the things thats she loves to do, so she found this campground thinking it would be nice and accommodating for her and a nice place for the family to get together again and create more great family memories. When my wife and I arrived we are surprised to see it was so quite and not alot of people there besides our family and a group huddling together on their porch with lights not sure what they were doing but now it was clear they were scared from all the cockroaches and black widows which were infesting the whole area. I arrived to see my family looking like they were having fun because everyone hooting and hollering making noise and dancing but to my surprise they were just screaming and yelling because they were getting chased around by roaches and stomping and jumping squashing them as they crawled around their feet I thought they were just dancing the la coakaracha dance mexican hat dance. They were smashing roaches as they were trying to eat their food and the small kids were freakin out.I was told to watch where I step because there were black widows everywhere huge ones! I had to inspect my cabin which there was dead roaches under the beds everyone else had roaches crawling in there cabin all over there bags and belongings. The bathroom were horrible I felt like I was going to get mugged by a cockroach with a switch blade and steal toed boots! Put it this way I we didnt even unpack our stuff from the truck and some of my family didnt even stay they left to hotel and the others including myself stayed in my truck then went in cabin in morning when hopefuly the roaches were to hungover to be up. My cuzin had gotten so drunk hoping it will help forget bout the roaches she ended up passing out with a strayed cat in her arms. Cat turned out to be pretty awesome! That morning I tried to talk to the manager and let him know My family was not very happy bout our night and barely got any sleep due to the infestation. Well the manager Steve I believe was a huge dickhead I was being as nice as I can when I was telling him bout the problem which he denied there was a roach and black widow problem he showed me a receipt for a fumigation so there was no problem but I can pulled out a receipt for a Ferrari but what good is that if it dont mean shit if the proof is crawling all over the floor in the cabin and campground. Told him bout my aunt lost a leg due to spider bite and there was black widows everywhere he shrugged me off with a oh well who cares personality. What a big piece of shit Steve is! He said he call the owner to see bout refund I asked to speak with him myself but was out of the question. He came knocking at my cabin door said my whole family had to be out and off the Roach motel by 930 with gave my fam an hr to get up n out n the others who stayed in a hotel to get back n check out. All in all the manager steve is a huge asshole he deserves that place he fits right in with the trash thats scattered around there and I guess it's true what they say Roaches check in but they dont check out they stay at the shady oasis roach motel!!! read more
