I paid $170 to Blue Boy Towing for a service that was never completed…read more I called at 3 PM to get my car unstuck from snow and sent pictures of my exact location. They still dispatched a tow truck without 4-wheel drive, which was completely useless for the situation. When the driver arrived, he didn't even attempt to use the tow truck. He walked up the hill, complained repeatedly that his truck was rear-wheel drive, and tried digging with a shovel instead. When I asked him to use the tow truck to pull my car out, he refused. I had already paid $85 upfront to dispatch and the rest on arrival -- full payment for a job not done. After failed attempts to push my car out with a random pedestrian, the driver ended up just giving me a ride home and told me they'd return the next morning to finish the job. The next day, I called at 11 AM and was told they were busy and would get back to me. I stayed patient. By 5 PM, nobody had followed up, so I called the driver directly. Still no solution. I finally got my car out myself at 8:11 PM -- after calling a friend with a 4-wheel-drive Jeep, who pulled my car out easily and even helped two other stuck drivers. After requesting a refund, I was then told in a nasty manner by the owner that he could only give me $50 back. I explained that I paid $170 in full and that no actual towing service was performed. I asked for a full refund, or at least $85 back, since that was the dispatch fee alone. The owner refused and said he would not go any higher than $50. His tone was hostile, his voice was raised, and it escalated into an argument. In the end, I settled for $60, which was better than nothing -- but it doesn't change the fact that they still profited from me while providing no real service. So in total: * Paid $170 * Tow truck arrived unprepared * No tow performed * Car stuck over 24 hours * Refund mostly denied * Company still profited Completely unprofessional. I strongly recommend avoiding Blue Boy Towing.

This was a passenger side tire and I'd been in the left lane, so he was down on his knees on the rumble strip with cars zipping by, but he took care of me despite the risk. He charged a lot less than he could have, and saved me from an overnight tow. I'll be keeping his card in my car in case I'm down that way and need someone. This is what I get for looking for low price auto repair work.Leaving updated review. What I thought was going be a positive experience. Turned out negative. March 3rd at around 6:45am, He replaced a fuel pump module , within an hour . Afterwards I drove car around the block to test out the new pump. March 4th , less than 24 hours , I took a trip to Walmart which was less than 10 miles from my home. The car initially drove okay but then it started to acted up, car shut off while turning and would go into neutral. After parking the car , car would not crank up properly and would shut off. I turned the car off and back on to try and reset it, did not work. I called the mechanic at 1:35pm in a panic , asked him what to do and if he could come back to look at his work, that the car was driving fairly fine and after the pump was installed new issues. I wanted him out o recheck his work, I also smelled something burning.( I had to get the car towed to my home , it would not drive! It would not go into gear ) He agreed that later that day he would come by to check at around 9:30pm, and that he would charge $50 for a diagnostic to see if anything else popped up . He did not come at all, and did not contact me to let me know he was not coming. The next day I had to Call , as he did not contact me back or acknowledge the message , he did not answer , I left a voicemail with concerns. He randomly text me to ask if 5pm would work to check. I replied that 5:30pm would work, he never responded at all or clarified how to remedy the situation. Please be aware of this mechanic and his customer service . It would have been better to say you are unfamiliar with the vehicle before doing unsatisfactory work. I am not left with a disabled vehicle ! Please choose wisely when trying to find a deal!
