Didn't pickup at scheduled time and hadn't returned my multiple calls for two days. Very disappointed. Will change to another service.

Terrible service! We have had them for a couple years. They cant ever manage to get all of our garbage out of the can and they leave garbage at the end of our driveway. It has gotten worse slowly and it is inexcusable. They are a lazy service! read more

I've used Shaffer Sanitary for the past 18 years. They have been nothing short of excellent with their service. Raising a family of 5 we always had additional trash at the curb. Shaffer always picked up everything. While their communication and billing is antiquated their good old fashion service is worth the minor inconvenience read more

Ive had nothing but great service feom them. Im so glad they pickup in fithian and recycling is included!!

They'll only pick up your garbage if you constantly call them and remind them that you're still a customer and even then it's a hit or miss with them actually picking it up. Even after I ended services, they still kept sending me bills. read more

Terrible communication. I've called them ten times in the last few weeks--only once did someone answer. Left a phone number each time--no callbacks. I signed up for service a month ago, PRE-PAID for the service, and they've missed pickups three of four weeks. Don't bother. read more

Avoid, avoid, avoid! I am a new customer. They have charged me double their stated monthly rate, their billing is incomprehensible, their voicemail mailbox is full so there is no way to leave a message...and they charged me for the two weeks that they forgot to pick up my can. I am only hoping that they will refund me some of the $100 I have paid them in the last three months for my own 32 gallon can. And that a Facebook message (the only way I can find to reach them) will get to them so I can cancel service. I suspect that they will keep billing me forever. For a great price and even better service this is the place to go through for trash/recycleing pickup. they do a awesome job and are cheaper than most places around. i would deff recommend to family or friends. keep up the good work guys! read more

The commutation is really terrible. I paid for October-Dec and they have not picked up my trash at all. I have called almost everyday about 3-4 times a day leaving a call back number. And never get a call back. I understand they don't get the messages everyday, but over a month? I never had this problem with them until the son took over. Before you would get a call back within a few days, but now you don't even get a call back, or the trash picked up. read more

Used them for 6 years and then one day they just stopped picking up our garbage. You can never get though to a person to talk to. in 6 years I could never get a hold of them then I went to go try again to get ahold of them and was disconnected. read more

We've been a customer for over 10 years, and before we moved out of C-U used them as did my parents. Changed hands to younger group in past few years, but still reliable for the most part, and when it isn't, I call, leave a message and the owner calls me back. Have had special things picked up and learned just today that they have a list of recyclables they can accept online somewhere. I haven't found it yet, but still looking. Yes, you have to pay up front months in advance, but there are probably lots of people who would want the trash collected and then not pay. It's a reputable business. read more
