Broke my screen and called up A&K they had a screen and did so I went to get it changed. The guy said it would take an hour and they had a cheaper screen option than the certified apple screen. I decided to get that one. I went to pick it up and he wouldn't let me see the phone before I paid in order to inspect the work. Upon payment as soon as I looked at the screen I noticed something was off. The refresh rate was way too slow and there was a noticeable lag when I swiped through my phone. There was also a substantial difference in the colors on my screen. I immediately brought it to his attention and he said "that's normal. It will still work just fine" and offered no solutions to my problems. The next day I noticed something else not quite right about the screen; it's absolutely draining my battery life on my phone. My 15 pro max used to last all day of constant use and still have battery left at the end of the day. Now if I look at a text or scroll less than 5 TikTok's it will eat 10% of my battery. As far as the speed of the repair, if you really need something fixed fast I guess I would recommend them for that. If you want a quality repair with quality parts, find someone else to do the work. read more

Had a battery replaced in my IPhone 6. They had the best price after I called around to 2 other places. The ones near campus are a bit more expensive cuz they can be. There was a small hiccup when they were doing the changeout but they let me know in a detailed manner what they had to do to fix it and they did it. Got a text message as soon as it was available to be picked up. They do their own work and can do it while you wait. The guys they have working there seem quite knowledgeable. read more

Bought a monitor over a month ago that I couldn't get to work send them message after message with no response. And then suddenly after over a month they answered and told me that it had been over a month since I had bought the item and they would not be able to do anything. So since I couldn't get them to respond to me I went to habitat and bought one from them which when I hooked up did work. They told me that they would be willing to swap it out or fix it and I responded that's not what I wanted or needed I just wanted my money back. Dropped it off to have it looked at they said it works I'm like okay I'm done then I'm not bringing in my entire computer system to have you check it. The employee was rude and said "you can be done all you want" highly advise having them turn on whatever you're purchasing to make sure that it works correctly because even though there is nothing that states that there are no refunds and all sales are final that is what it is read more

I fantasized about responding with witty retorts worthy of a blog post and subsequent comedic cult following, but the reality is that I'm not that funny. So, as an alternative, I thought I'd let the email itself do the joke-telling. Please enjoy: "Megs, I am the new owner of A & K Mega Service. I saw that you left a poor review and I am messaging you to discuss it further. First off, I'd like to apologize for whatever problem you encountered. I'm not sure if you dealt with the new owners or old, or an employee, but it doesn't matter to me. I'd like to make it up to you. Being the owner a small local business it is very important to me to have a good reputation in the area. I do not remember, nor realize or recall the problem you encountered, but I'd like to make it up to you. If there was a problem with the service I will give you a refund. I had a shattered screen on an iphone 5c. We took our phone to Chris at A & K Mega Services. I got the phone back immediately and the screen was fixed :) I have had no problems what so ever with the phone since then. I would STRONGLY suggest using there services. read more

This was my third time using A & K Mega Service and I don't think I will go back. They fixed my screen for the first time when the LCD in my screen went out due to my dropping it. They charged my $95. The phone did not work like it use to ask the buttons were very touchy and even without hitting a button it would open the app as if I had. I was unsure if this would happen anywhere I went or not and didn't have the time to get over to them to look at it again so I was just dealing with it until I had time. After yet another incident I took my phone back to them cause they were close by where I was at the time of incident. The gentlemen (not the owner) who was there this time was very nice. I knew i was going to have to pay again cause it was my fault which I was fine with/ They said they would give me a "discounted" rate since I had been there before. They still charged me the same price $95 and said that was the lowest they could go. Knowing he saw not the owner and was not able to make any decisions about pricing I accepted the price and left. Not even a week later my phone started messing up and started having lines go down the screen and and the buttons barely worked. I was upset at this as I had just had the screen replaced the week before and I had not dropped it this time. Looking at my receipt I saw they have a 14 day warranty policy so I called and they said they would look at it. When I took it in the gentlemen who owns the store said he would look at it and see if it was accidental damage or not. He came out and said he did not see any signs of accidental damage(which I already knew I didn't do anything to the phone) and said he had to call his manufacture to see if they would warranty out the screen so he would replace it. After he got off the phone he said the bad news was they said they would not warranty it out due to they said it would not just go bad without accidental damage. They he proceeded to tell me that I would have to pay if I wanted to screen replaced. Needing to get my phone fixed as it was unusable and I was already there I agreed to let them fix it even though I was still upset that they would not warranty it out as I did not do anything to the screen. As they were fixing it I read their 14 warranty again and it didn't say anything about they would only warranty it out if the manufacture took it back. So when I went to pick up my phone I asked about this due to their "discounted" rate on $95 was what I was going to have to pay again. He said after talking with his manufacture he did see signs of accidental damage(which he never told me after he got off the phone with them) and that their was nothing they could do because he couldn't return it to the manufacture. At this point I was so upset due to I felt like he was being dishonest with me about the damage and he just didn't want to have to pay to replace a screen he had to use to fix my phone. After I paid and left the store i looked up online other phone repair shops and found one that had a lifetime warranty of their screens. I called them and told them about my issue and if they had a accidental damage policy and he said they do but usually only if it is water damage. He said they would have replaced the screen for free if they were the ones that originally put it in. So needless to say I will not return to A & K to have them fix any of my devices. the only thing good I can say about them is the gentlemen(who was not the owner) was very nice during all of my visits. read more
