I am only giving one star because there's no other option, but if I could, I would give him a 0. I had a revision rhinoplasty done by Shah Manish in April 2019. All I wanted was to breathe better and have a better projection because my nose tip was significantly dropped. I regret so much having had surgery with this doctor as he did a horrible job. Not only did he make my nose worse than it was, but he destroyed my nose. My nose looked ugly. He could not fix my tip; my breathing problem worsens. One year later July 2020, I went back to his office and said he would fix it by doing another office procedure, I trusted him again, and he just made it worse. He left a bump on my nose that was not there. I absolutely hated my nose, had no confidence, had depression for a while, and could no longer pursue my modeling career because of the results. I kept going back to his office to express how I felt about it, and he never listened to me or let me talk. All he said was that my nose was very swollen and that it would get better eventually, which never did. I spent two years dealing with this awful doctor, and nothing changed. He just wasted my time and money. I spent 8k on the first procedure and $300 on the second one. PLEASE AVOID THIS DOCTOR AT ALL COSTS. HE ONLY CARES ABOUT MONEY AND DOESNT HAVE THE KNOWLEDGE OF WORKING WITH A VARIETY OF NOSES. I HONESTLY DONT KNOW HOW HE HAS HIS BUSINESS RUNNING AND HAS A DEGREE OF IT. HIS WORK IS HORRENDOUS. I honestly regret choosing this doctor for my rhinoplasty. I went to him in 2018 for my first rhinoplasty and I trusted that he could give me my desired results. A couple months of healing and my results showed that I had an inverted V deformity nose which means he cut too much of nasal bone down. I went back to see him and he told me that we can do a revision to fix it, add a graft to the middle and it would be fixed. Since I added that, my nose is now very droopy and I'm having severe breathing problems and cannot breath naturally like I used to. There is also a dent on my nose and it looks extremely crooked especially when I smile. Also if you are an experienced doctor, you would know that if you are slimming down the bridge of the nose, whatever part you didn't make smaller will appear very large in my case, as with my tip drooping over. I'm still very unhappy/sad with my nose after two rhinoplasties with him and I payed for the initial surgery which was over 8k and for the revision I had to pay over 2k for anesthesia fees. I went back to him recently to talk about the issues I am having. He presented that I do a tip surgery that will put more graft in the tip of my nose and bring it up which he says is non invasive. I was quoted another 6.7k to fix the issue that he initially was unable to do in one surgery. I am now going to pay more money to be happy with the tip of my nose, and am so fearful that something could go wrong since this will now have to be my third time getting a rhinoplasty. I wish I could go back and chose a different doctor. I think doing your research and at least consulting with many doctors before you make your decision, and try to avoid having to do multiple surgeries to fix the previous one. read more

I'm 3 months post tip rhinoplasty and very pleased with my results! Dr. Shah explained the procedure and costs in full detail, and answered my repetitive questions leading up to the surgery. My surgery was performed in office under local anesthesia as I requested. It was completely painless and quick. I was given a blanket to keep warm and my option of music, which I preferred to be turned down low. That morning I had a severe allergy flare up from hay fever which caused me to sneeze uncontrollably DURING my surgery. Dr. Shah handled the situation in a calm and patient matter despite how frustrating it must have been. My nose turned out PERFECT despite how much I was sneezing. My recovery was quick and I looked normal after about 1 week of surgery! I was provided with a pre and post op vitamin package that I believe contributed to the rapid healing of my nose. So I've been trying a lot harder to take care of my skin lately... I try to buy the best products and really protect it from the sun. If you live in Colorado, that's easier said than done because we spend any free time we have outside playing. I had previous acne scarring which Dr. Shah treats with micro needling. LOOOOOOOOOVVE!! I also pick up all of my skin care from him. The office is in a great location and not too far from home. I rarely ever wait longer than a few minutes to see Dr. Shah. Dr. Manish H. Shah permanently burned CO2 laser peel burn injury damage into my skin/face. There are lines, gouges and craters (loss of volume) that were NOT present on my skin/face prior to Dr. Shah's aggressive CO2 laser procedure. There was ZERO pre-procedure medical care despite a prescribed prescription/skin care protocol (Dr. Shah and staff didn't bother) two weeks prior to the procedure. When I expressed extreme dissatisfaction with the damage Dr. Shah burned into my skin/face, he cancelled the remaining appointments in writing denying me medical care meant to follow-up the procedure. Dr. Shah offered me a complementary fat grafting treatment (approx. $5, 000) in writing in an attempt to resolve this issue, but I would never trust him again. Dr. Shah has tried to blame previous damage, but it was minuscule compared to the extensive, extreme damage from Dr. Shah's CO2 laser procedure. I'm devastated. I would give ANYTHING to have my skin as it was before Dr. Shah's aggressive CO2 laser procedure. I filed a claim with The Doctors Company against Dr. Manish H. Shah, DR0043479, 101 University Blvd #220, Denver, CO 80206, but their alleged thorough investigation was cursory at best and did not include viewing the permanent CO2 laser peel burn injury damage burned into my skin/face by Dr. Manish Shah's aggressive CO2 laser. TDC relied on photographs which can be digitally-altered and time stamps manipulated. Photographs are NOT proof, and definitely not evidence. A claims investigation cannot be deemed complete without first-hand viewing of the damage which I requested both verbally and written on several occasions. The Doctors Company denied my claim TWICE without a first-hand viewing of the CO2 laser peel burn injury damage to my skin/face. TDC's so-called 'independent expert' also ignored evidence of substandard medical practice in my medical record and email documentation which document the lack of pre-/post-procedure medical care. If Dr. Shah responds to this review, it doesn't matter what he says. I'm speaking truth. Absolute nightmare experience. Edit: I knew Dr. Shah would respond. DR. SHAH PERMANENTLY BURNED LAYERS OF SKIN OUT OF MY FACE. His claim that it was low levels and improved my skin is untrue. Went in for a rhinoplasty with Dr. Shah and was very disappointed with the results. The simulations looked nothing like how I did afterward- he didn't take down my tip enough, so it looked much larger than it did previously. I asked to have my "German bump" reduced- it was shaved down from the top, which I was thrilled about, but not from the sides - still giving my nose a bumpy and strange look. After results that I wasn't pleased with (and being told that it was just "shading" and that I should just push on the bones to make them go where I wanted them to go), I had an accident that left my nose broken. I desperately tried to work with Dr. Shah to figure out how to get it fixed, and his office continually gave me the run-around and cancel appointments with me until I ran out of time to have it fixed (the nose starts healing into the new position after about a week) and went through my insurance instead. Any reviews I've posted explaining my experience, Dr. Shah is extremely defensive and borderline offensive towards me. Regardless, I think others should know my experience and take it into consideration! My advice would be to pick someone else to entrust your face with! --- Update: as a response to Dr. Shah's comment, yes, my procedure was a few years ago, though that is not relevant. I am having a revision completed by Dr. Stephen Weber, who has made it apparent that these issues were in fact issues and are correctable. I think it would be pretty crazy to go back to a physician who did not do what he said he would do, and failed me as his patient when I experienced trauma to my nose. I had liposuction of my entire abdomen, hips, waist, etc. as well as front bra rolls in December. Every day since then, my results look better and better. I am 6 weeks into my tip rhinoplasty surgery and am so happy with the results. From day one everyone was amazing. Brenda at the front desk is always friendly and more than happy to accommodate. Dr. Shah explained the entire procedure in detail. I felt completely safe and comfortable in his hands. He even let me play my own music during the procedure. I opted out of taking Valium to numb the pain for the anesthesia shots and he did a great job talking me through it and telling me when to breath. The procedure itself was somewhat trying. There was no pain but a lot of tugging and pulling. In retrospect, the Valium probably would have helped me relax, but using my breath worked just fine. There was only point at the end when some of the anesthesia wore off and I could feel some stitches. By then, getting the shots, again, would have caused more pain and I relied on focusing on my breath. Overall, I give the experience a 9 out 10. And, the results 10 out of 10. read more

I went to Dr. Shah to get some injections for a natural looking face lift. He convinced me that to look younger I need to get a chemical peel that was so strong it can only be performed by a licensed physician. After reading all the pros and cons he assured me that the procedure will go well and that it is what I need. I trusted him, so I agreed to start with the chemical peel. Big mistake! I was only 39 years old and he performed to strong of a chemical peel which left me with multiple layers of severe and permanent scarring on my forehead and hypo-pigmentation which means the pigment has been permanently stripped from parts of my face. I can not ever tan, because then you can really see the difference. During the actual procedure I told him that it was too much and that I could not take the burning anymore. I was in tears and felt like I am going to pass out. He told me: "You women who never had children don't know what pain is!" His other remark was that I should just imagine living in the middle east and have acid thrown on my face. He would not take it off. I have news for him. I did have a child 1.5 years later and child birth is not as painful as the procedure!!! He has never apologized to me and just denied that anything happened. I tried to get a lawsuit against him, but it is extremely hard to find a doctor who is willing to testify against another doctor. We found out that his notes were incomplete and that he lied in his notes as well. I would be VERY careful and want everyone to know that there are far better doctors out there who will not try to degrade their patients and who are not hackers like this one. Dr Shah is the best. I would highly recommend him. I had rhinoplasty over a year ago. After other consultations where they told me to "pick a nose I like" I was happy to find Dr. Shah. He actually takes your nose and face in to consideration. His policy is that he would rather be conservative, then give you a nose that doesn't look good on you or would cause you to have problems breathing. So I went in for my initial surgery. I really couldn't believe how little pain, swelling, and bruising I had. I was ready to go out in public after only a week and basically only took Tylenol. I never needed anything stronger. You then have frequent check ups with him where he takes pictures and monitors your healing. He has you wait a full year until your nose is fully healed, then he will do some slight revisions to if you would like for just a small fee that covers the supply costs. He never charges you again for his services. He just wants you to be happy, but within reason. This is what I like the most about him. He really always has your best interest in mind. Also, he give you his personal cell phone and calls you himself after surgery to make sure you are doing ok. His staff is all really nice. Jennifer, the receptionist, is awesome. 2006 at the age of past middle age I went through a horrendous divorce that showed up on my face...I wanted to address the sagging and acne scarred face and crooked nose. In 2007- 08 Dr. Manish Shah was recommended to me by Dr. G. who had performed a procedure for me many years back. I met with Dr. Shah for the 2 procedures I wanted (rhinoplasty and a mid-face lift.) They were not done at the same time. To be sure I also met with numerous other plastic surgeons in Denver and one in Colorado Springs. Let's start with the nose surgery: he delivered the initial results I was looking for, which was to simply make the tip of my nose straight with the rest of my nose. Some time after this surgery I developed severe nose bleeds on the left nostril side and never on the right side. No trauma ever after this surgery to create such an issue. I have learned to live with this condition and my Primary Dr. said there's nothing she can do. It's speculation that the sutures Dr. Shah used did not stay put is probably what created this issue. Further, I have a high pitched wheezing sound when I breathe, especially at night. Same left nostril. Sutures are a sore spot for me where Dr. Shah is concerned, because my mid-face lift resulted in visible scarring that he himself stated were due to the sutures he used that didn't stay put and subsequently stopped using them after the horrible results of my face lift surgery. Loved being his guinea pig! Read on, later he will also blame me for the scarring. Today, almost 9 years after these surgeries my only regret is I did not sue him for the issues I will have to deal with the rest of my life. I have noticeable scars behind my ears, down the sides of each ear and one scar that extends to the high part of my jaw line. I had to stop wearing my hair up years ago and learned to strategically apply makeup and do my hair so it covers (barely) the areas just noted. By the way, most people still notice and I'm frequently asked if I was in a bad car accident. I also dealt with residual pain for years around my ears which felt like he chopped them off and sewed them back on. Some months after the mid-face lift surgery, Dr. Shah not happily agreed to do rescission surgery to attempt to mitigate the thick scars, but with little success. I refused to pay him for this procedure. He had an attitude when he did this surgery in his office in a chair with some local numbing shots and I think some Valium. I was mostly awake. I spent no less then the next 5 years undergoing expensive derma-planing, micro-needling, etc...by the late and wonderful Patricia Ritter, RN to help reduce the scars, and it did help some. I read the glowing reviews of him on YELP and other sites and hope he has improved his surgical and patient skills. Again, he blamed me for the excessive scarring after my face lift, even though I followed post surgery instructions to the TEE! He said it was probably due to me moving my head too much. I exceeded the statute of limitations to sue him, and I will always regret that. Years later as I thought about how potential patients should know my story, I decided to post my first ever review of Dr. Shah. My blood pressure is elevated just reliving the post nightmare of seeing the grotesque scars that I still see, and remembering his attitude toward me. Amazing how nice he was till he got my many thousands of dollars I paid him. In closing, I am no stranger to the fact that all surgeries have risks and I willingly accepted them in good FAITH that he would not create life-time issues I will always have to deal with. I've had other facial and body plastic surgeries with no lasting issues....I know the risks well, but I still know Doctors who perform the operations have a responsibility too their patients legally, ethically, and medically. Advice: Ask whatever Dr. you are considering to take a scalpel to your face or body if they've ever been sued by a former patient, the outcome of the case, and are they willing to correct for free any surgical issues if it should need be. If they get snazzy for you asking.....run don't walk and find a Dr. that will most importantly be there for you after the surgery. Almost 9 years later, still dealing with the after effects of allowing Dr. Shah to do my surgeries. Do your homework. Don't let them tell you they can never please some patients. This guy is great. I'm in my 50's and he has removed years of aging and sun damage from my face without surgery and without making me look like I've had anything "done". The most interesting thing so far has been the diamond polar treatments to tighten up the skin along my jawline. And I just did the Perfect Peel which was best chemical peel I've had and I've had a few. I also like the fact that he does all the botox and filler injections himself instead of some offices where they have an aesthetician do that. Dr. Shah is THE surgeon to go to - Wonderful, friendly, and a Master of his specialty. Just by speaking with him, you are aware of his expertise and professionalism. He truly cares about his patients' concerns and happiness. I couldn't have asked for a better experience, both in his office and through surgery. I have had two surgeries with Dr. Shah. My experience with him was very positive. I found him to be kind, professional and expert in his field. My first surgery was a life-style lift which turned out beautifully and so I return to him for my breast augmentation which surpassed my expectations. Dr Shah was complete in his preparation and explanation of what was going to take place. He was even up-front regarding procedures should the surgeries not turn out as planed, the options were in the initial contract and pointed out by both Dr Shah and his staff. If this review helps one person it is worth writing. I had the absolute worst experience with Dr. Shah, not only did I find him condescending with horrible bedside manner, he is a terrible doctor and does not know what he is doing. I came to him for a rhinoplasty, I had a severely deviated septum and hump in my nose that I was hoping to have removed. I trusted that Dr Shah could do the job, as he said he could and what a HUGE mistake that was. Over 6 months after my surgery I had horrible black eyes, I still couldn't breathe and the hump in my nose was still there. After talking to many friends and finding out that this in fact was not normal I looked for another dr's opinion and in doing so found out that Dr. Shah had completely crushed my nose, he had broken the bones in my nose into tiny pieces which explained why I couldn't breathe and why my eyes were so horribly black. I talked to Dr Shah about the situation and tried to get him to do the right thing (refund at least half of the money I had paid him for the surgery), he chose not to. I am very fortunate as I was able to find a new dr that could fix the problems that he had created with my nose, but I am writing this because if I can somehow stop someone from making the same mistake I did by letting Dr Shah operate on me, then I am at least helping someone. read more

This man is hands down the BEST plastic surgeon in Colorado. I had seen Dr. Shah back in July for a consultation regarding my deviated septum, he was warm, personable, extremely intelligent and very informative. I'd seen a few different surgeons in the Denver area including Dr. Shah and had decided to go with another well known surgeon due to expenses. Unfortunately, due to insurance denying the functional portion of my surgery the DAY BEFORE my scheduled surgery day I was unable to go forward with this doctor, needles to say I was completely devastated. That day I called Dr. Shah (Spoke with him personally), he put me on his surgery schedule right away and even discounted his surgeons fee $500 so I was able to pay easier. Having surgery fall through with the previous surgeon was a complete blessing, Dr. Shah and his team have been absolutely wonderful to me and my family. Not to mention I am so incredible pleased with the results!! I now have AMAZING breathability and the cute feminine nose I always wanted :). From the bottom of my heart thank you Dr. Shah!!! read more
