We couldn't recommend Tiffany and Emily more to any one that is naturally minded, Christian, and desiring a home birth! Tiffany and Emily took amazing care of me and my baby throughout the entire process. From prenatal care, to the birth itself and postpartum care, we felt our questions were always answered, sound advice was given, and our preferences were always respected. Tiffany and Emily took the time to get to know us as people and really learn how to best support us during the birth. I felt that after each appointment my anxieties as a first time mom were always calmed and the fact that Tiffany has attended over 1000 births and her fact and evidence based knowledge of everything birth related impressed me and my engineer husband. Tiffany was referred to me from a friend, and I am sad to say the worst referral I have ever been given. Please do not hire her! Because of her lack of care and concern for my baby and I, my 1 day old child almost died, was airlifted to the NICU and we spent the first 3 weeks of his life wondering if he would survive or have life altering damages. I would not trust her to be near anyone's pregnancy or child. read more

Hate to even give her one star. In the past 8 months I've known of 2 babies that have died in her care. Horrible to think she is teaching a student. This community does not need Tiffany handling our births. There are so many more qualified midwives in Central Oregon. read more

It's taken me 9 months to be ready to publicly share my thoughts about my experience with Tiffany. I wish I had done more of my own research and talked to more women who birthed with her before I made my midwife choice. Frankly, Tiffany was a last resort because no other midwives were accepting patients for the month I was due, and one of the other midwives I contacted recommended her. Tiffany was very nice during our check ups leading up to my due date. But when game time arrived and I was in labor, she let me down hugely. First, like someone else commented, Tiffany was sure my baby was positioned posteriorly during labor but when I was transferred to the hospital, they confirmed via sonogram he was not. During labor, Tiffany was on her computer A LOT. It weirded me out honestly, this was my first birth, I expected a present and attentive guide, but most times when I looked up she wasn't in the room (my husband and doula confirmed she was on her computer in the living room) or she was on her computer on my bed (I was laboring in a pool in my bedroom) When I brought this up in an email weeks after the birth, she responded that she was keeping record of the process, but there is no way the amount of computer time she was doing was at all related to me or my birth. When you're laboring and you look up and wonder "Is my midwife emailing right now?" I didn't feel safe with her. The birth pool she provided would not stay inflated nor could they keep it warm. When it was recognized that my baby's heart rate was slowing with my contractions I looked to her for medical advice, "What should I do?" She said, "Do I think you can deliver this baby here at home? Yes I do. But it's your choice." I am so so glad I listened to my intuition in that moment. I didn't need a cheerleader in that moment, I needed smart medical advice. When my son was born (vaginally) at the hospital, he breathed in meconium and could not breathe on his own his airways needed to be cleared and he was intubated. The Dr. told me she'd never seen that much meconium before, I researched this after birth and learned that it was likely the stressful labor. He was only a few days past the due date and I had no medical complications that could have resulted in the meconium. She would not have had the medical equipment necessary to help him if he had aspirated like that at home. Tiffany never warned me of any implications of a difficult labor such as meconium aspiration. When I arrived at the hospital, my "resting" heart rate was 160 and I was so severely dehydrated, the little bit of fluid that came out of me via catheter was the color of coca-cola. Reflecting back on my time laboring at home, Tiffany never took my heart rate. She checked the baby's, but never mine. The nurses who took care of me asked me, unprompted, "Was Tiffany your midwife?" The nurses at the hospital saw the state I was brought in and they asked that question on their own accord. That told me something right there. Later on both the Dr. and the nurses told me they have had many issues with Tiffany and the state she has brought women in. My son was born vaginally at the hospital with the nurses by my side making me feel way more supported than Tiffany. They coached me on how to maximize my breath and how to time it with the contractions, they coached me on how to maximize the contractions. Looking back I can't believe none of that coaching was done by Tiffany for a first time mother. It was 2 weeks and 4 days postpartum when her assistant reached out to schedule a follow up that would have occurred 3 weeks 2 days postpartum... I was astonished. When I expressed this, her assistant explained that Tiffany had 3 more moms give birth the same week as me and as such she was behind on follow ups. That is so inexcusable. Thousands of dollars were paid for care. We went through a hairy experience. She was over-scheduled and I believe she was catching up on her other patients charts while I was laboring and thats why she was on her computer so much. I/ we deserved better care. read more

Tiffany is so kind and gentle. She is always available and takes time to answer all of my questions. Tiffany is so empowering because she truly believes and trusts in a woman's ability to birth her baby. I couldn't have asked for a better midwife. I would most definitely use Beautiful Blessings Midwifery again. read more

Tiffany is so amazing! Always on call and there for you all hours if the day and night! Supportive in all aspects! As far as the annoying random questions and calls you have throughout your pregnancy!!! She will always be there with information good bad or ugly and there to give you knowledge you need with plenty of resources for you to research both and all sides for you to make up your our decision and make the best decision for yourself and baby. Without judgement. She is always available with all hands on deck whether in active labor of just I need of a friend. she will care for you as if she is your best friend, sister, or your mother if need be. But would never step in anyone's toes. She is the most calm warm hearted person I've ever came into contact with. She will always be on your side as a mother and help you know matter your option, beliefs, or morals she's their to make sure you are safe, your baby is safe, and will do what ever it take to give you what you want!!!
