Carlos Ramírez repaired an old Chippendale camel-back sofa whose solid hard woodbase had collapsed. I had purchased the antique sofa 40+ years ago at an auction in Miami. I wanted to save it. The work required was a combination of carpentry, upholstery & furniture restoration (removing & reinstalling all the springs). Carlos Ramírez responded to my email promptly. He was able to assess the work through a number of detailed photographs I sent (where I tried to explain what was wrong with the sofa.) Within 24 hours after submitting my request, we agreed to have the work done in my home. The work was completed as promised on time. I could tell from watching him work that he wanted to ensure I was pleased with the end result. I chose Carlos Ramírez based on the perfect 5.0 rating he has earned on Google. Nevertheless, they didn't seem to ever return my calls or follow up with me except telling me that the previous girl I spoke with Jenny quit in November. Only causing more confusion rather than solutions to my query. To this day as you can see in the picture of the kitchen, on the right corner I have yet to get my 3 floating small shelves despite that their Yelp page clearly states they do fine carpentry. So these shelves should've been an easy quick job given its size and scope. Hopefully the owner Damien who was very nice and did the measurements of my bathroom will see this review and kindly reach out in order to rectify this long overdue customer experience dating back since August 2018.

I ordered some items for installation of my wood-burning stove that apparently were shipped via Fedex. My largest item was a Selkirk DSP6MA masonry adapter that was actually shipped separately from the other items. Shipping was very fast where both packages arrived the same day. I am aware of negative reviews that I estimate are likely unjustified. I also suspect that any negative reviews by others involving claims of damaged items were likely not due to mishandling on the part of Shell. I am very willing to order from Shell again. And, if I had a concern about mishandling of my items that might occur then I would contact and request Shell increase my shipping cost by going with a different carrier solely for my order. As it turns out, I see no reason to have such concern at this time.
