I found Shampoo on Yelp yesterday and was able to make a haircut appointment for today. Melissa, the owner, is great! She did a great job with my cut and made me feel right at home. The salon is pretty and clean. Even though they opened in August of 2018, it has the look and feel of an established salon. I'm really happy that I gave them a try and I will 100% be back for my next cut. I plan to make this my go-to salon! I was welcomed as soon as I walked in and offered coffee/water. Love this salon!! Made my daughter an appointment and had to reschedule...absolutely not a hint of attitude. Went in for her appointment today Saturday, not realizing its the end of the day for them but i did notice that it was empty so at check in i jokingly said that i should get my hair cut too. Melissa then said very cheerily...I'll cut your hair! So an hour later, my daughter looks fabulous, I look fabulous and we weren't over charged. Melissa really knows what she's doing, she cut my very long hair and made it look beautiful. Brittany cut my daughter's hair and was very conscientious, my daughter is 14 and Brittany checked every so often to make sure she wasn't cutting too much off. In the end my daughter was SO happy!! This makes me happy! Shampoo has made repeat customers out of us both...next time...fantasy colors!! Can't WAIT Update: Went back for a haircut, i was in a mood so when i got there i asked if Melissa could color me too and she said yes! Four hours later and a ton of bleach and i was back to blonde again!! The color was great except i wanted my whole head bleached and Melissa talked me into a balayage and even though it came out nice, right afterwards we went into quarantine and now my roots are three inches long ugh. Also, its the first time i've ever had to pay separately for the toner when getting a double process so that made it a bit more expensive. I'm not going to do a balayage again, when I go back for bleach its going to be my whole head. The best thing about Melissa though is that she knows exactly how i want my hair cut and i only have to use a few words....she's amazing and I won't let anyone else cut my hair ever again! Honestly not sure how I felt about this place. The people were nice. I got a partial highlight and trim from Brittany. I love the color but I wish she gave me better layers. I paid $166 and that was INCLUDING a 25% off coupon from the Shoprite receipt.. I feel like it was overpriced but overall Brittany did a great job. read more

Wow! What a beautiful salon! Just from walking in you know your experience is going to be five star. There's parking in the back and when I arrived I was greeted by some lovely young ladies who immediately offered me water or something to drink. Went in for lashes and Claudia was ready for me immediately. She was super meticulous and pleasant to sit with for the process. My lashes look AMAZING! Last time I got my lashes done (somewhere else) my eyes were red and burning for 2 days, which Claudia said shouldn't happen but maybe my eyes have a sensitivity to it. Well, my eyes aren't red or burning AT ALL thanks to Claudia! That's how I know she uses quality product and is very careful with her process. The owner, Melissa, has been doing my hair for years. She's the only person I trust with my hair and through the years I've had her do basically every color and I always get tons of compliments. My hair is always healthy and beautiful because she does it with the utmost care. She also does a mean men's haircut on my guy friends! Stopped in for a men's haircut a few weeks ago and I was wowed by this new salon. The owner, Melissa, has been in this business for many years and she turned this space into a top notch facility. The location is easy to find on Bloomfield Avenue and there is ample parking in the back. The entire salon was very well laid out and impeccably clean. The entire staff was very knowledgeable and professional.
