On 3/18/26, I needed a valve replacement for a new dishwasher under the kitchen sink. The cost of that project was $417.50. Took only a few minutes to replace the old valve with the new one. The plumber noticed I had a leak from the sink drain. There was dampness on the threads below the sink basket. I agreed to have him fix that. Cost of that was $481.50. He reset the sink basket and replaced 2 gaskets. He did a good job, but the total was $899. I had a $45 Christmas/New Year discount making the total $854. Total work time according to Castlewood was 1 hour 36 minutes. I am embarrassed that I signed off on this. I spoke to Victoria, who is very nice, and Joy Thome, CEO, to voice my complaint of the excessive cost. Of course I wasted my time. They stand by their pricing. In the future I will be using a more reasonably priced plumbing company or do it myself.

Vance, who I am told is a service manger with Beis, was immediately defensive and dismissive when 1) Learning his technician said the hot water expansion tank was out of code before learning Beis themselves installed it and me providing him this feedback and 2) Getting feedback that a $165 service charge is a lot for a technician to spend 25 minutes at my home to tell me my T&P valve was set off (which I informed them was the reason I called to begin with).
