Today we had above all put a new shower in our basement bathroom. We couldn't be happier with the job they did. They were prompt the fit and finishes spectacular and they cleaned up afterwards!!!! true professionals they are the exception not the norm! Mike was referred to us through the electricians we hired to do the plumbing work on our home addition on a small south city home that included a powder room (5x8) and small master about 6x8. As the project progressed he made decisions about toilet/shower/sink placement that we said we didn't want, but his response was always "no, that can't be done" or "that's not how it works". He would come in, act as if we were burdening him and he was doing us a favor. He misplaced the toilet and sink despite many requests and then charged us to make those fixes despite them being his mistakes. He started to become quite indignant. This is our first home addition but have done large home renovations in the past. We naively trusted him, but as the process went on our other contractors would find errors. He didn't do basic things (for a home addition) like adding water spickets outside, or make sure the current plumbing was functioning correctly. I grew too scared to ask him anything and he continued to force us to pay more and more for things that would have been considered standard for this scope of work. He recommended (and we purchased) a shower pan, then he got angry and told us it wasn't acceptable. We had to hire another contractor to come in and fix this because he said it wasn't in his scope, then because we had to hire someone else because he said it wasn't in his scope that he was going to pull the permits off of our house because someone else worked on the shower base. We felt stuck and scared. He had sent several threatening texts. We asked if he could just finish what he was willing to. In total we paid him $16,550 which was over the bid. And we still don't have a shower or working sinks in either bathroom (he said he didn't know we were doing a wall mounted sink/faucet, he never asked and we aren't plumbers and didn't know we had to tell him). He also stole a brass drain fixture because it apparently wasn't the correct one so he took it. When we asked about it, he admitted it and returned it and said he assumed it was trash (although he had confirmed during the walk through that it would work and it was special ordered and he returned it without the box making it not returnable). He took that but never cleaned up or took his trash and pvc discards and left a mess the 3x he worked on our home. The hours he worked were less than 24, he was paid more than 16k, the job never finished, he never did basic due diligence on anything and we asked him to make sure the new and old were working and the next day had a sewage back up/flooded basement (that we didn't bother even calling him or addressing it with him because we knew he would try to charge us an outrageous amount, also when we hired someone else we were scared because he said no one else could work on the plumbing in the home because he had pulled the permit). Job is still not complete and he is threatening to put a lien on the home. I feel out of options, scared of him, don feel safe that he knows where I live and that he has us over a barrel. He continues to threaten us and demand more money when we've continually had to hire other people to fix his work. Maybe this wouldn't happen to others, but I feel taken advantage of. I feel he's holding us hostage and don't know what do to. We have spent a lot of money and have no working plumbing by him and I think people need to be aware of what he is capable of. He did physically steal something and then got angry that we questioned it and that he threw it away. I have cried many years because of him and if you are a woman... I will bluntly and confidently say, do not hire this man. read more

Just a heads up, this plumber will waste your time, and after giving you a quote will ghost you if you wear nursing attire. He will promise to call you back, then send all your future calls to voicemail with no return responses. Very shady. read more

Ours went out late one night, we called Mike and we decided to have him out in the morning. He drained and removed our old unit and brought a new one from his inventory. I think it's reasonable to know prior to contracting this company if you're a member of the LGBTQ community, or an ally, for your own well being, you may want consider doing business elsewhere. While I'm confident there are tons of people who this doesn't apply to, for me, having a husband and a child in my home, forces me to take my business elsewhere. Above All Plumbing is a husband and wife team who is extremely vocal about their views on this subject matter to a point which would cause me concern about having them in my home or businesses. I 100% support a difference of opinion, and by no means do i expect people who do work for me have to share my opinions and beliefs on things. However, as this team regularly trolls social media and not only engages, but feels the need to start controversial discussions against people on topics which some hold very personal, it makes me concerned about how any conflict resolution with such a company would play out. They've made it a point to create such conflicts around a magnitude of topics, but recently went on an attack rampage against people around women's rights and felt very comfortable sharing some very extreme view points on this topic. And again, I believe everyone is entitled to their opinion, but when you represent your company on social media and then utilize that same platform to go out and look for people to attack about those topics, I wonder if you could discern these feelings from your everyday work. Where this crossed a line recently is a post and thread that went on for hours where the crutch of the argument was that all gay, lesbian, queer, or those with gender identity issues were mentally ill and should be treated medically for said conditions. These post didn't just include a difference of opinion and mean spirited name calling, it directly stated that while the owners new nothing about the subject matter, had such a strong distaste for it, they didn't want to know about it. Although numerous people tried to engage in a healthy debate, the owners felt it necessary to take a hard stance on a very extreme ideology that bordered on dangerous for those they spoke of. Ultimately the conversation took on a very personal stance towards me individually where I personally was told I was mentally ill and a not fit human; obviously these very public, and very open comments, that were so easily spouted out would make me strongly concerned for the well being of myself or my child to have someone from this company in my residence or business. read more
