I'm pretty savvy at knowing what I need.I just always don't know where in the store it is. 2 young guys were standing still talking to one another.I explained what I needed.They looked at each other,one put the other on the spot.He started laughing & said "I have no clue". I kind of thought he was joking but think I knew better.I said"You really do have no clue,do you?" He said no. I found what I wanted & as I was checking out,I told him where I found what I wanted in case any one else asks him in the future. That was a first. Why put people on the floor if a regular customer has more knowledge than them?? I was surprised. My first not great experience.

If you are looking for fancy finished carpentry, and arms-length professional relationships, this is not the company for you, but also they do not charge like those firms. However, if you enjoy friendly, old time, personal, traditional rough-hewn barn workmanship and style, they are a prefect fit. They are also very economical. They mill all their own lumber. They will work with you and they will work quickly. Having Lamore build my studio barn was an amazing and incredibly enjoyable experience. I now think of them as friends and am having them return this year to expand the space, 50% larger than the lofty existing 40x20x16 vaulted structure they already built. I can't wait. Great company, great value, wonderful people.

For years I've heard good reviews for these folks regarding their quick, professional construction…read moreof garages, outbuildings, etc. I did not realize that did not extend to the garden sheds. The owner and a helper arrived unhappy because they didn't ask for directions and lost some time being lost. They proceeded to argue bitterly for the next 7 hours. They worked extremely fast even though the owner was in his seventies and the helper at least in his fifties. But they worked like all they wanted was to get out of there. They didn't bother leveling the floor or using decent lumber on the sills. I asked them to replace the pocked, tilted inward sills with better quality pieces of wood, and they replaced them with worse. After the first half hour I just wanted them gone, but I was stuck. The building is fine but I'll spend two days this spring leveling it. Do not EVER use these people. Run screaming.

SO, I took the company truck to this very large gravel pit in search of some much needed gravel. How cool is this place?! You simply check in at the office, get weighed (the truck that is) and then they tell you where to go in the pit and wait. A loader comes along, puts gravel in the back of the truck and back to the office to get weighed again. You pay the man and off you go. Easy. They have all types of gravel, stone and loam. Make sure you call first to make sure they have what you need.
