I describe this as in between deep tissue massage and sports massage. It is not as relaxing during it as you need to focus on your breathing a lot more, however the gains after it are great for circulation. The only thing I would improve is the intensity level varied on certain areas when I had already expressed I needed it softer. It was just a little confusing when I got there because this is place is on the second floor of an office building. When I got there it was locked. II called the office and they directed me where to park my car and that the therapist was arriving soon. He did put music on to provide some ambience, which is definitely important for the massage experience. I definitely felt lighter and looser after it. Recommend to go on a lighter stomach.

I had an excellent 60-minute medical massage to treat severe lower back pain that made it very…read moredifficult to walk. Afterwards, that entire muscle group was released and I was moving much more freely. The following morning I was moving at almost 100%. Instead of just focusing on the lower right side where the cramping was, she worked on both sides of my upper and lower back. Also, she discussed, during the massage, where I was favoring one side during weight training, which helped me modify my training plan. She is very strong (she could be a rolfer) and is able get down deep. I plan on going regularly. The actual massage session was 5-star for me, which offset logistical issues. Her online appointment booking system doesn't work well (better to call/message her to schedule). Also, her fee structure is odd: she charges $80 per hour but expects a $20 tip - would be better if she just set her price at $100. In spite of this, I highly recommend her.

I've been dealing with neck, shoulder and upper back muscles tightness issues for a while now. After she gave me a good deep massage therapy, it made a great difference. I wouldn't say it completely healed and solved my problems, but none the less, she was able to release a good amount of tension and tightness that I've developed. A great start! She showed me a bottle of oil and asked if this was OK. I asked her what that was and she said, "essential oil -- OK?" (Don't they all use oil for massages???) So I said yeah, that was fine. Later I found out that this "essential oil" was an extra $15 (wtf). Then she offered me hot stone (of course she didn't mention this but this was also for an additional fee). I wasn't sure why she was asking at first, so I just said no thanks. Anyway, the moment she lays her hands on me for the massage, I was able to tell that she did not have much strength. I am 5'4 and 98lbs -- you don't need to be a macho man to give me a good massage. I really wanted to walk out or tell her that I wanted to make this a shorter massage, but decided to give her a chance and asked her for more pressure. Since the request, she used her elbows for about 70% of the time. Sigh. I really wanted to leave but this lady was trying and I didn't want to be rude or hurt her feelings. I just stayed through the pain (big mistake). When it was time for me to pay, she explained that the oil was an additional charge and pointed at the rate sheet. First of all, you shouldn't offer services without explaining or getting confirmation from the customer that an additional fee is acceptable. I don't think even think using oil is considered "extra" service but whatever. I looked through the chart and saw that the hot stone was also for an additional fee (WTF). That explains why she kept offering me additional shit when I specifically told her that I was just there for a deep tissue massage. I felt scammed. Their rates were about $30 higher than other places I've been to but I would have been OK if the massage was good. NOT WORTH IT. I didn't even want to tip her but still gave the poor lady $5 for trying. Once she saw that I didn't tip her much, it obviously showed on her face and she did not even thank me or say bye. RUDE.
