If you are reading this you are about to met your new tattoo Goddess. Shannon is everything you want in an artist. Super creative, highly skilled along with light handed and fast. Totally cool chick and engaging! I came to her after looking for an artist for 11 yrs. to fix a mistake. My first piece was 12 hrs. and I thought the artist had gotten my vision. They didn't. It was a botanical piece and it was flat. Not what I had drawn. Unfortunately, it was on my back so I couldn't see it. Shannon totally fixed this piece. Recolored it. Shaded it and made it come alive. And it only took her 2.5hrs! She is that experienced. That skilled. We've spent close to 35hrs together now. I now have a stunning girdle, gorgeous Arabic line work weaving, a delicate back piece, side scroll saying in Sanskrit cursive and random exquisite butterflies all over my torso. Each step was well planned and a collaboration. Her background in serious Art Design schools shows. Go see her book! It is just mind boggling how many styles she has produced...Greyscale, abstract, gothic, photorealism, whimsical, tribal, ethnic, white, modern so many more that I don't know how to describe. I have been going to Shannon for as long as I remember - she did my second tattoo decades ago - and has done many, many, many more. Her work is amazing. To be honest, I live next door to this charming tattoo studio and have watched Shannon and her customers come and go for a year now knowing at some point I would love a tattoo and how convenient to walk next door. So I did and we had texted a few times and exchanged some ideas of my love for the sea and flowers that represent so much more and she did her art on my arm and I absolutely love it! Her space is comfy and colorful with walls covered with beautiful art. She was quick and our conversation lovely. Shes badass and I need to let my friends and you all know she's extremely talented and I think renowned. I got some work done with Shannon in August 2023, and it was such an amazing experience that it motivated me to leave my first ever Yelp review. I decided in May that I wanted another tattoo (I got my first tattoo 15 years prior while I was living back east) and was looking for shops close to where I lived. I found the page for Shangri-La Tattoo and was impressed by both the glowing reviews and the stunning examples of previous work done at the shop, so I reached out to Shannon. We met at the shop a couple weeks later to discuss my ideas, and because I wasn't in a particular rush, scheduled the work for 2 months later. Over those 2 months, Shannon was really great (and patient!) as I sent her ideas and posed questions for what could be feasible to do for the design. On the day of my appointment, Shannon spent a lot of time talking through my ideas and showing her final design before we got to work; the end result was everything I could have hoped for and more. What really stuck with me (and what will keep me coming back to Shannon for future work) is that she really dialed in to who I was and the meaning behind my tattoo idea, and she created a welcoming, cozy environment for the work. What a beautiful experience! Upon entering I was asked to be seated after being warmly greeted by Shannon, with a welcoming hug! I was then "smudged" to remove any and all of the day's negative vibes. We discussed the artwork, and she handed me a jar of candles! "Pick however many you need," she said, "write your intentions on the bottom and the anoint them with the essential oil of your choice." I LOVE THIS, plus some yummy tea is provided for this part of the experience. Shortly after, Shannon took us back, and had us light the candles we'd anointed, so they burned during each personal tattoo process!
