When I was there, I personally did not see any visible sanitizing process. I saw the piercer remove the jewelry directly from the bag, and from my viewpoint, it did not appear that it was rinsed or sanitized in any way before being used If the business is certain that their sanitizing procedures were followed and are confident that the cameras would show this during both my friends & my jewelry change, we request that they share the footage with us. If the video clearly demonstrates that we are more than happy to take down or update our reviews. Lastly as of today my friend has a small bump on her nose at the site of the piercing which is why we felt it was impotent to speak up about our experience. read more

I was there today and did not get a service. I walked out after I witnessed the piercer be extremely rude and unprofessional to the customer ahead of me. The poor girl looked so caught off guard she was asking for the piercer's professional opinion on a matter, the piercer lost her cool quickly and in the end just walked away and told her she was done with this interaction. read more

UNSANITARY!!! I went today with my friend to have our nose jewelry swapped. It was my first time at this piercing shop since I live close by. I was greeted by the nice lady in the front who helped us pick a nose ring. My review is mainly for the piercer, when I sat in the chair, he didn't greet me and I saw him grab the jewelry and rinse it under the faucet for 2 seconds. He never washed his hands and he put gloves on dirty hands. He then proceeded to remove my current jewelry, and never swabbed my piercing hole with anything. He just began placing the new ring which I never saw him sanitize. Through out the whole process not once was anything sanitized. He also seemed off like he was a drug user. My friend had the same experience and also co firmed she never saw him sanitize anything when he was servicing me. NEVER AGAIN, I regret coming here. I hope I don't get infected. read more

Called to see if I had to make an appointment or could just walk in to have a piercing re-inserted. The lady who answered my call was super nice and told me that I could just come in any time before 7 and that it would cost $15. Prix was smaller than I thought, with a nice selection of piercing to choose from. The piercer is such a character, he has a lot of fun stories to tell and was an expert in reinserting my piercings to my (still very fresh helixes). 10/10 am coming back to get more helix piercings, regret not coming here initially! read more

I've been thinking about getting a second hole in my ear lobes for a while. As I was walking through town, I passed by this shop and decided to stop in. I didn't catch the name of the femme presenting person at the counter, but she was great. She explained all the jewelry options to me. I had lots of questions about why they used certain jewelry and why I couldn't use a specific thing and she explained how the process works in a clear way. She was also patient with all of my questions. I was going to a language class and needed to come back and they allowed me to do that, which I appreciated cause they only accept walk-ins! I realize I'm not sure the name of my piercer, but I think it was EdD. He was great. After he placed the initial marks for where he'd put the second hole we discussed it and changed it a couple of times, which he was real chill about. I've been with a friend at another shop where someone gave her a hassle about making changes and I'm glad I didn't have that experience. I haven't gotten new piercings in a while, tattoos are more my go to, so I was a bit nervous. He explained the steps he was going to take and when he would tell me to breathe, etc. He also talked to me while he worked, which helped too. All in all I had a great experience! read more

I found this shop because the shop I used to go to stopped carrying titanium jewelry and only pierced with gold. I rarely keep the starter jewelry once it's healed, so it feels like a waste to spend so much. I love that this shop is walk-in only. 09.30.2023 - Spontaneous Piercing With just 1.5 hours left until I need to catch my flight back home, my seastar dumps me at Prix to get matching piercings. Once I told them that I needed to catch a flight, they didn't dilly dally and got straight to it. Before anything, they had to make sure what I wanted to do was doable depending on the anatomy of my ear. And my ears passed to get it - forward helix piercing! (Yes!!!!) After filling out the form, I had to choose the jewelry, but they were sold out of the one my seastar got. I was pretty bummed out because it was meant to be a matching piercing, Wish I could have had more time to decide, but time is of the essence. I go with the most colorful one! The piercer asked if I'm allergic to iodine, but I wasn't sure as I never had iodine on my skin. So he accommodated with saline instead. Before poking me, he maps out where to place my piercing and also puts future possible piercing spots in consideration. He asks me to take several deep breaths and on 3, it goes through. I felt comfortable and at ease throughout the entire process. I couldn't stop feeling how super considerate they were because with the knowledge that I'm flying, the elevation will cause it to swell more so the piercer used a much longer post. Not sure when I'll be back in LA, but I'll definitely be back Prix to get my second forward helix piercing. read more

Had a great experience today with Eddie (hope I'm spelling that right). Got both my nostrils pierced and he did such a good job at measuring everything and the whole process was quick and painless. He was super patient with me while I debated exactly where I wanted the studs to go which I appreciated. I also purchased a captive-bead ring for my conch piercing and he put it in for me. The gal at the counter was also very sweet, didn't get her name10/10 Will come again. Edit: I did notice my piercings are not symmetrical. I brought this up to Eddie right after being pierced and he said they looked fine to him. I went home and tried to just accept that they weren't perfect but it still bothers me.. I feel like they should be as symmetrical as possible. Is there any way we can fix? Can you message me privately somehow or respond on here? Thank you! TLDR: Very professional studio with beautiful, fair-priced jewelry options! And we recommend Jinx, who was an amazing piercer! My partner and I had a great experience at Prix! SERVICE: Right when we walked in, we were greeted warmly by the front counter. The studio had fun decor and was clean! I originally came in for 6 cartilage piercings, but was politely told that I could only get a max of 3 at one time due to healing. I was actually glad they had that policy because that totally made sense haha! I opted for an industrial and a helix (as the industrial is 2 cartilage piercings). My partner opted for 1 set of lobes. We got Jinx as our piercer and he was so professional and passionate about his work! He said he has been in the field for decades and that truly shows in his work- he was very meticulous about anatomy checking our ears and and on measuring before piercing. During the piercings, he did a great job on preparing us for the pain and explained aftercare well! PRICES: Jewelry starts at $30 and goes up to $60. Thr industrial was $50, helix was $35, and a set of lobe piercings was $35. I opted for a beautiful Northern lights inspired $60 helix stud for my helix and for the industrial, the default was a straight barbell (i forgot the price for that jewelry). For my partner, he got cool dagger studs for his lobes (sorry i forgot the price for those studs too hahaha) In total, we spent about $310 before tip. Thank you so much Jinx and the rest of the staff for the wonderful experience! We are definitely revisiting for future piercings! read more

I've been a loyal customer here for a while, but after today, I won't ever be coming back or recommending this place to anyone. The girl at the front counter immediately had an unwelcoming face the second I walked in. I didn't bother getting her name but pretty sure she had a septum piercing. I came in at about 1:45pm, asking for a flat-bottom nose ring since my current one is too long, and I tried to show her the length so she could help me find the right size. How else would she know what I meant? Instead of listening, she rudely said, "Don't touch your piercing." I explained I just wanted to show her the length, and she repeated herself in the same rude tone: "Don't touch your piercing... here are the nose rings." At that point, I knew I wasn't buying anything. If there's a protocol, fine but there's a right way to talk to people. You can explain it nicely instead of barking orders at customers. When I asked her, "Is there a reason you're telling me not to touch my healed piercing?" she said you might touch other stuff and contaminate it..... For the record, touching a healed piercing doesn't contaminate anything that IM NOT TOUCHING. Cross-contamination happens when someone touches unhealed wounds or shared tools/jewelry with dirty hands, not when a customer points to their own nose. I wasn't even touching the store jewelry, so implying I'd 'contaminate' something is just ridiculous. Regardless, I would've just said okay had she had a little bit of decency and spoke like a human. This isn't about rules, it's about respect. If this is how your staff speaks to paying customers, and management allows it, then it's clear customer service isn't something this business values. read more

Absolutely shocked by how bad the customer service is here. I came in expecting a professional piercing studio, but instead got attitude from the moment I walked in. The front desk person, who has tattoos above her eyebrows, made it very clear that answering basic questions was somehow beneath her. Every interaction was laced with passive-aggressive energy, like I was interrupting her day by being there. I get that some places go for the aloof/cool vibe, but this wasn't that--it was just plain rude. I've never felt less welcome in a place I was about to give money to. If you want to feel like a burden for asking questions about your own body, this is the place for you. Otherwise, save yourself the frustration and go literally anywhere else. read more

I had such a great experience here! I was looking for a reputable piercing shop because I had a very old helix piercing that I hadn't had jewelry in for at least 5 years. They were able to check it out and fit me with new jewelry. All of the staff I chatted with were so friendly and knowledgeable. I called before arriving to ask if they have the jewelry I was looking for, they said yes, so I arrive a few minutes later to look at the jewelry. They tried so hard to help me save a bad piercing I got while on a business trip to Miami. Yep. You read that right. Mistakes were made. Even the piercer did the piercing knew it was doomed when he gave it to me. You could read it all over this face. At Prix they repositioned it and upgraded my jewelry, and really did try their best to set me up for success...but it was to no avail. They were so kind at Prix when I finally decided to remove the jewelry and they cleaned up a very angry and painful piercing and gave me the best chance at healing. Everyone was so kind and I'm so grateful to have moved on from that episode and heal. Should I decide to try again, I'm definitely going to Prix. read more

Love it here! My go to shop when I'm having a piercing issue. Despite having my nose pierced longer than I care to admit, every now and then I manage to pull it out in my sleep (I should wear mittens like a baby) and it doesn't take long to close to the point that I bleed and have to get it professionally reinstalled. Now that I have auditions and no piercings in my marketing materials, I had to switch to jewelry I could hide easily and by myself. We had a lot of trial and error w pieces I brought in that weren't working. They're always patient and were never annoyed that for a period I was in there A LOT! Everyone that helped me was so kind and fun. Tanna is awesome and showed me some pieces that I could use for my nose that I wouldn't have to remove as they look like freckles. I'll get those soon. It makes me really sad to say, because I have gone here for various things over the years, but I no longer recommend Prix. My most recent interaction in this store was quite unpleasant, and the customer service was really below par. I believe this persons name was Jaguar? I had called ahead of time to ask if they would just sell jewelry to me and not put it in themselves and over the phone I was told that would be totally fine. When I went in this seemed to be a different case. First of all, the entire time it felt like my mere existence in the shop was an extreme bother to the piercer working front desk. She was rude and dismissive to me, and it felt like I was being spoken down to the entire interaction. Further, though I had asked prior if it was ok to just buy jewelry and asked at the counter just to buy jewelry she kept pushing and assuming that I would have her change it for me. I was asking for specific bar lengths and gauges and she was very passive aggressive with her reply saying that I wouldn't need to tell her that information because she would be changing the jewelry herself. All I wanted to do was buy jewelry but she seemed to be insisting that she needed to put it in for me, and made asking for certain sizes of posts or bars challenging. I am confident in my ability to change my jewelry myself, and when I got home had zero issue with this. It shouldn't be some great annoyance for a customer to just come and buy some jewelry, if anything that's the easiest thing?? If you plan on going here maybe think again, unless you're comfortable with rude customer service. There's plenty of piercing shops in LA that won't treat you like you like trash when you're there buying over $100 of jewelry (or getting a piercing). read more

I'm a little bummed because I got a piece of jewelry for $174 put it and 2 weeks later it came out. I assume the small needle part that goes into the hallow gauge wasn't bent enough for security. I'm so careful with it and I make sure not to tug on it but even then shouldn't pop out because the hair gets wrapped around it. I get life happens but the 'manager' on the phone said 'they can't keep me in a bubble' after leaving the shop. Was a little rude to say. Yuck on how this whole situation was handled. Wow I had such an amazing experience at Prix. It came highly recommended by friends in Pasadena and now I understand why. I had never been to a real piercing shop before and came in a bit clueless. Gina in the front was so knowledge about all their pieces, pricing, and different types of piercing locations. Her ear actually gave me a bit of inspiration, and she let me deliberate for hours over my piercing choice. If you're indecisive like me the atmosphere here definitely gives you the comfortability to take your time with the choice and there's no judgment for being price conscious. There are so many beautiful options with a wide range in pricing from $40-$200 and up. My two piercings came out to $240 including the piercing fees. My piercer was Eddie and he was a very funny, laid back guy. Sadly he let me know that I couldn't get the original piercings I wanted(a forward helix and center helix) due to my ear anatomy. However, I was very appreciative for his caution and professionalism with piercing placement, safety was a priority here. I was very nervous and also used up a lot of time getting in the chair but he gave me water and talked me through the process allowing me time to get comfortable and ask questions. Both Gina and Eddie made this appointment smooth and enjoyable for me. I'm in love with the outcome and will absolutely come back for my other ear! read more
