How lucky were we that our amazing realtor in Vancouver, BC (who we love, and who I found here on Yelp!) referred us to Brooke, who was phenomenal with us every step of the way! From our first meeting, Brooke explained the process in layman's terms and she never minded when we asked many questions, often many "stupid" questions (yes, I say it out loud. I have no pride! This was all new terrain for me), and sometimes repeatedly. She made on-point recommendations on how we could get the most bang for our buck, and we followed her advice to the "T". She recommended paint colors for our walls and trims, referred us to a house painter, advised what needed fixing and what we shouldn't bother with. She had the most incredibly talented photographer take pictures of our house, and a fabulous videographer take videos (some with a drone overhead! It was like Hollywood - and our house was the star!). Our house was featured beautifully online, in print, in so many places. It was marketed so well. And as a result, it sold so fast, for more than listing price. Lack of Real estate knowledge, inefficient, ineffective negotiation abilities. We have purchased and sold multiple homes in various states. All of my experiences with past Realtors has been remarkable. We had Deby Rourke call another agent about a home we were interested in purchasing, she remarked "I hope this agent is not intimidating." During our purchasing process Deby continued to argue for the Seller, unable to negotiate anything for her Buyers, stating that she "did not know what else to do." We had a PHENOMENAL experience with Kendall!! Even that is an understatement. First and foremost, Kendall was endlessly dedicated to helping us find our first home. Upon our first get together we had a very in depth meeting about our criteria of what we did and did not want in our first home. In this meeting she was very direct and forthcoming about her experience, her vast knowledge of the real estate market, and her passion to helping people buy and sell homes. At that time I was interviewing and talking with several other real estate agents, and Kendall is the only one that we felt the most comfortable to be around. She clearly and precisely told us everything we needed and wanted to know about her and buying our first home without being pushy or overbearing; and left it to us to decide whether we wanted to work with her or not. No salesperson pitch or vibe whatsoever. When it came to looking at homes Kendall, tirelessly, searched for homes that matched our criteria. Almost every day we were getting lists of homes for sale in our criteria, and in the locations we wanted. She also included homes that were close to the areas we wanted and had some alternative options depending on whether it fit the location criteria, pricing criteria, or home style criteria. Whenever we wanted to look at a house, Kendall would do her best to get us a viewing the same day. If it didn't fit our schedule, she worked hard to find a time that worked for us the best, if that meant she had to move a couple things around, she did. There were times were she even brought her kids because it was during the time she normally would pick her kids up. She was dedicated to no end. Secondly, Kendall is an incredibly easy person to talk to and communicate with. Not only is she prompt with getting back to you, it never felt like it was an inconvenience. She did let us know that we were able to text or call her at anytime, but after a certain hour she would be with her family and would respond as soon as she can the following morning. I appreciated that she had that healthy boundary for herself and respect for her family. Moreover she is very personable and is wonderful to talk to. There was no arrogance with her. She is just a person who loves helping people and the way she does it is by helping them find their new home, (or sell their current home). She is also HONEST. Each housed we looked at she would give the pros and cons that she immediately picked up on. She would tell us what we would most likely need to fix or if things were in good or bad condition. Her eye to detail is most likely unmatched and it showed with minute details that we wouldn't never have noticed or even think about noticing. Furthermore she never showed us a house with the intention of just wanting us to buy. It was always fully intended on helping us find OUR home. And again she would be honest and tells us if we would be happy or not in the house; but she never overstepped or crossed any boundaries. Lastly, Kendall is very, very patient. I am a very particular person. I know what I like and what I don't like. I know that there are times that I can be very opinionated about things. There were several different times where I would ask to see a house that wasn't in the criteria, just because I wanted to check it out; or it wasn't in the location that we had discussed, and Kendall just went with the flow and never got irritated with us, particularly with me. But no matter how many questions we bombarded her with, or if we ever had a freak out about finding the right home or being able to afford the home or whatever, she NEVER was impatient with us nor showed any tiredness of us. She genuinely wanted to help us find that perfect home. And we did. If you've gotten this far in the review, Kendall is a great human being with such a passion to help people.
