I saw a bad review from someone else years ago and it triggered me to post this. I was actually a bit mortified by the post as it was the most unprofessional review and so far from the truth. Actually Violet still goes to US Canine for boarding every time we go out of town and I won't take her anywhere else. Violet actually went to another training facility (one I will not name) and she came out worse than when she went in. Violet is a pit bull and as most people are aware pit bulls get a really bad wrap. They just need a little proper training and some TLC (as with any animal) and that's exactly what US Canine did. She actually did have to go through the intense two week training for extreme behavioral issues (trained by Angie) and she came back a completely different dog! I love Violet so much and if it wasn't for US Canine we would have had to give her up. She has become such an important part of my family and I wouldn't have done anything differently. We tried 3 different in-home trainers over a year and saw little to no difference. At one point one of these people even told us our dog would need to be on anxiety medication the rest of his life. Then, one of the agencies suggested we try US Canine before surrendering our pup. Our dog spent 3 weeks at US Canine and came home the loving, respectful, and sweet dog we knew he could be (no medication necessary!). It has now been 8 months and I am so thankful to US Canine for giving us a second chance with our dog! Everyone at US Canine cares about your dog and your family and they make a concerted effort to help you understand the changes you need to make for your dog to be successful. They are always available for questions and concerns so that your success can continue longterm. ( my husband had lost his job and I am on disability so we asked if we could pay for the end of life care on friday when my check was to be direct deposited. Mind you that this was on a wednesday. So they wouldve only had to wait 2.5 days to get paid. The staff told my husband to" call back when we were able to pay!" ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! Call back in 3 days and let my dog suffer in pain. Nice to know that your clinic and staff care more about monies than making sure an animal is not suffering!! We will never bring an animal to thos clinic again. We have since found a clinic that cares about the animals and doeant want them to suffer!! This Dr wasn't available on a Thursday or Friday but was told Monday for sure. Monday comes, I'm there 8:45 (Monday was a walkin day/No appts) with two people ahead of me. The two ahead were called to a room and immediately a new walkin was taken. Then a second walking right by me. After the fourth walkin was shown a room I walked out. As I got to my vehicle I saw a rep calling me from the door. Sorry you should have more respect for customers. I went to a clinic in Ila Ga and was very pleased. Won't go back to Commerce Vet Hospital.
