I love and trust this place! Even though there have been multiple times we've had to spend quite a bit of money, but no place is super cheap when it comes to veterinary services unless you're on a plan or got insurance for your pet, which we don't. They are super attentive and concerned and very good with both our dog and cat. They offer a variety of services, food, and treats for your pet. We have used their boarding services before and it was nice to know that if there was an emergency they were already at their vet and things could be taken care of. They're always willing to listen to my thoughts and concerns, and take that into consideration with whatever the need or appointment is for, but always give me all the options and are real with me. I totally trust their judgment at the end. They also offer a loyalty program you can ask about, I wish it was done a little differently, but it has definitely helped and saved us $$$ a few times. read more

Took my dog today for her annual exam/Vaccines. I was very impressed with the staff as well Dr Hughes! Everyone was so kind. Due to covid I was unable to go inside with my dog but the staff kept me informed and Dr Hughes came out and spoke with me directly. We are new to the area and my 10 year old lab needed immediate medical attention for an abscesses tooth that had been treated THREE times by our former vet. He was finally correctly diagnosed and had minor surgery and I'm happy to say my dog's issue is finally resolved! Best Vet experience!! I needed to have my dog seen quickly, not an emergency but it really couldn't wait a day or two. When I called the receptionist were so helpful and understanding. They took me right in and I was seeing the vet within 30 of the phone call. The tech was very kind and gentle with my dog. The Vet was so awesome, Dr Hughs took time to go over the issue I was there for and then did a complete physical. The treatment was a little complex but the Dr. went over all the reasons for each medication and how they work together. I was so impressed then the tech wanted to make sure one of the meds stayed cold and sent it home with an ice bag. This is a wonderful caring Animal Hospital. I'm not from the area but truly wish all vets took the time that Dr. Hughs did to explain what the injury was and the best way to treat it. I'm very happy to say it's been 3 days and my dog is already feeling so much better. read more

Finding a new vet for your beloved pet is scary, particularly as your first visit is often a health issue. Since my first phone call with the team here, I have known that they are all professional and caring. My dog is viewed as the most important member of my family by them (and everyone else for that matter! :) and that is what I am looking for. RUDE RUDE RUDE!!!! They were late passing along pet records to my new vet so I called the ask them myself (since I was in the new vets office and was being told they couldn't get their vaccines until they got the records). The woman was extremely rude to me and had so much attitude and then basically hung up on me! Not to mention they are ridiculously expensive! The vet I went to before i could take my two dogs and cat for $300-$400 (annual visits). This place was around $700 for the same animals. The vet I go to now was $500 and that included treatment for one of my dogs. If you are in the Dacula/Auburn area I suggest finding another vet. I tried Auburn Animal Hospital for another one of my cats and the people were way friendlier and it was way more affordable. I wish I had never gone there! read more

Never disappointed with their service!!! They offer boarding @ a reasonable rate for your pet while you go on vacation. Our kitty usually gets a three tier condo with a outside view. You can also bring your pets favorite food and they will honor your feeding schedule if you have a preference. Very clean, modern and well organized facility and the staff is very friendly. I LOVE this place and the Doctors/Vet Techs/front people, basically everyone in it! Back in March, my dog Snuggle Bear (yes, that's right!) had a serious fight with kidney failure. To be honest, I really wasn't sure she would make it through. It was one of the Vet Techs (Sweet Victoria) who I personally knew that referred me to bring her in. Snuggle Bear was fresh out of a surgery that went bad (she probably should have never had) and was in the stages of renal failure. Victoria suggested I bring her up to see what they could do. Dr. Destiny took over caring for Snuggle Bear from that point on. Between Dr. Destiny and the Vet Techs, Snuggle Bear went through a week of kidney flushes, IVs with fluid, and tests to see why she got so sick and what could be done. Every morning I got a call from the office letting me know how Snuggle did the day/night before as she had to stay 5 days overnight. I was even able to visit my pup to ease my worries. To say this staff is excellent is not saying enough. I truly believed they saved Snuggle Bear's life. They are professional and I always walk in to a smile. The doctors give me information/techniques to take care of the issues that Snug's kidneys may face in the future not to make a dollar, but because they genuinely care about what they do. Service has been great over the years between our dogs and cats but a recent philosophical and attitude change with their office manager I assume has taken them down several stars and has cost them a loyal customer. I called earlier in the week to schedule a surgery for my daughters cat. Upon talking with the person making the appointment, everything was confirmed. The day before the surgery was to happen I receive a phone call confirming a "yearly" appointment. After some conversation with the receptionist about the misinformation of the appointment, she put in touch with what she called the office manager who told me she took the reservation over the phone. I was told the reason for my initial call was for a yearly visit. I think I know why I called and that wasn't it. I was then told that it was all In The notes she had taken over the phone. While still arguing with me about the purpose of my initial call, like I said, I know why I called, she just snapped and said I've cancelled your appointment and if you want the cat to have surgery next week, I suggest you find another animal hospital. So much for customer service and loyalty. A simple," sir I'm sorry for the mistake" would've gone a long way , but no. I was told to either reschedule for another time or as I mentioned, "Find another animal hospital!" One phone call later, I found a hospital in the area that would be glad to assist us and we will be taking all of our animal there moving forward. read more

I trust and love Apalachee river animal hospital! We have been taking our two dogs and cat here for 4 years and they're always professional and on time. They have been great to work with from annual vet visits to boarding to prescription refills to picking up our cat food. Not only are they knowledgeable and experienced... they are kind and decent people. I've never felt rushed at Apalachee River Animal Hospital. They aren't constantly trying to up-charge either. I've used this vet for a year. Vets and staff used to be super friendly and took the time to patently explain everything . Today's visit however suggests a downgrade in either their hiring or training process for the vet techs. In a 15-20 minute visit, the vet tech mentioned the word 'rebate' a minimum of 16 times in regards to purchasing monthly medicine for my Great Dane. Usually my wife takes care of the dogs' medications as we have three dogs in all. Literally, as I am speaking with my wife on the phone to confer with her regarding purchasing the medicine from Apalachee, the vet tech shoves a paper with with pricing in my face telling me to tell her about the rebates. My wife wasn't impressed as she heard it go down. It felt like I was dealing with a used car dealer. Let me explain something, I'm 40 years old and know how rebates work. They suck. When I tell your staff I am not the one to ask, respect it. Being redundant to the point of belligerence doesn't sell anything good. For Apalachee's edification, I literally paid the extra $30 for the medication just to shut your vet tech up. She literally was worse than Donald Trump mentioning 'China' in a debate. In regards to interrupting my call to my wife and invading my personal space for the sake of an upsale, you lost a customer. read more

They are the BEST in the area!! Dr. Destiny and staff have handled our four dogs for over a year now and the level of great service, along with their knowledge for specifics is amazing. Not only are the Doctors tremendous, but Marsha (lead vet tech) along with Michelle and Nicki (front desk) are incredible to work with. We have 2 cats and 2 dogs - our dogs have have more issues than typical, with one dealing with behavioral issues and the other a slew of health issues. Dr. Destiny and Dr. Randy have been a godsend for us - great diagnostics, counsel and advice, always. This office is always able to fit us in when we need, as well. We've dealt with a few life threatening situations with our dog and I'm so grateful to have them as our veterinarians! read more

This place is top notch! We have been taking our maltipoo Toby there since we got him last Christmas and they have always been professional, courteous and love him so much. He got sick from an insect bite of some sort around Easter last year and they kept him for a couple days. While he was there they sent us pics and kept us updated on his condition constantly. We've also boarded him there for an overnight trip and he must have had fun because he was pouty when we picked him up. Either that or he was mad we left him! We just boarded out little beagle mix here. We were nervous, of course, like anyone trying a new boarding facility. This place is great! We got a report card of how our dog did afterwards, and while he was happy to come home, he was treated very well during his stay. The facility is clean and the staff is awesome. We even got to leave our dog's favorite blanket with him during his overnight stay :) We have also been here for veterinary services in the past, and we had great experiences as well. 5 stars! EDIT: We also have a new puppy, which we are taking here as well. Yesterday she had a little injury to her paw, so we rushed her in without an appointment. We were seen basically immediately, and the care she received was great. The entire staff, including the Dr's, the vet techs, and the front desk staff are top notch. I would recommend anyone in this area to bring their dog or cat into the hospital for care. Still 5 stars! read more

We have been going to this vet for many many years. Dr. Fish did surgery on one of our dogs and he is still alive and kicking 6 yrs later. We have seen all of the Vet's up there and they all treat you wonderfully. Service is top notch. The support staff is the best- I love all the ladies who we have been in contact over the years. Most recently our sweet Libby girl 15 yrs old with diabetes and blindness, had taken a turn for the worse. They all worked with us to see if she would get better- no pressure- just kindness. Dr. Coval was with us when we had to let her go and our girl went peacefully with us at her side. A sweet card with her footprint followed a few days later. Dr. Randy is now treating one of our boys and I feel confident we will get great answers and find a solution. You won't be disappointed taking your beloved pets to this practice. read more

A staff is as good as its leadership. At Apalachee River Animal Hospital every single staff member is beyond reproach. The moment I called the urgency in my voice was noted and got me in right away. I was greeted with concern and reassurance. The techs that took my info, listened and heard what I was relaying. Dr. Destiny was amazing. She saved Yang's life that day. Yang had to stay for 3 nights, I received calls from staff and Dr. Destiny several times a day, updating me and being very thorough with explanations. I even received a picture to reassure me he ate!!! Dr. Randy did follow up visits as well, with the same care and information. We have been taking our pets here for a couple of years. We saw Dr. Fish when she was there and now we have been seeing Dr. Randy. Just recently my 14 year old cat became ill. We took her to Dr. Randy and he found cancer. He was very nice, informative, and honest. We had to take her back several times and each time he took his time with us and explained all of our options. We took her in one more time where she passed away. Everyone there was so nice and supportive. They comforted us and even cut some fur for me. I received a sympothy card in the mail yesterday from them. I thought that was so kind. I know Dr. Randy did everything he could do to keep my kitty alive. I cannot praise the doctors and staff at Apalachee River Animal Hospital enough...they are all amazing! We have an eight year and a half year old lab with skin and thyroid problems, and Dr. Randy and Dr. Destiny go above and beyond with Bella's care. They always take their time with examining her and with explaining treatment options with us. They are never too busy to fit her in their schedule when we feel like she needs immediate attention. Our dog is a rescue who is very scared around new people, and they have worked so hard with her to get her to feel comfortable at their office. They truly treat your pets like they are their own animals. We have been to several veterinary offices around Dacula, and none compares to the service and care we receive at ARAH!! read more
