This has been my spot for a few years now. I've always loved the selection of fruits and vegetables. The cashier (with the glasses) is always so sweet and kind. It's not a huge market, but it has a lot of variety. It looks like a small farmer's market -- it's cute. They also sell Turmeric, Spices and Herb plants off to the side. They sell a variety of honey, brown eggs and always have really sweet pineapples. Now what I will say is that the last few times I've been there have been NO oranges (and perhaps it hasn't been orange season), but I've always gone and gotten oranges from them and literally the last 4 or so times, I haven't been able to get any goods ones. They did have some bagged oranges, but I'm used to seeing the oranges where they now place the watermelon -- again, it could just be that they are out of season, idk. My ONLY gripe though has been that I haven't been getting good watermelons. They haven't been sweet nor ripe so I've been wasting a good amount of money over the last month. Also, I used to really love that their pricing was so much BETTER than your local grocery store, but I'm noticing, their prices aren't that far off anymore from their competitors. I used to be able to go and spend $40 and get everything I needed. My last trip, I spent nearly $70 and that prompted me to start paying more attention when I go the next time. read more

We came here with relatives who used to live in this area and shop here. Everything was neatly arranged and labeled. I guess we are spoiled here in south Florida as there are several local produce markets with much better prices and better quality. But it's always interesting to look around and see what another place has on display. We did buy some apples. Unfortunately, these turned out to be mealy and we wound up tossing the rest of the batch. We bought some fingerling potatoes which turned green a tad early, but before they did, we managed to cook a few of them first and they were okay. They had a lot of other items besides vegetables -- including jams and jellies and honey, et al. We felt these items were a little bit too expensive for us to purchase, as well. great selection of produce, local and not. there is also a good selection of cheese, salad dressings, sauces, boilet peanuts, etc. I saw some new (to me) items today and had to post... look how good these salads are! The price doesn't include dressing but they sell lil cups of dressing or you can buy a bottle. I picked up a peach vinaigrette :) Always friendly service when I've gone. This is my favorite of the produce shops around here, I like that they sell plants also :) read more

Good quality produce at really fair prices, comparable to the supermarket in $ but much better quality!

I've been going here for many years but never again! They can ban me for sharing this, IDGAF. I bought a couple of vegetables and huge watermelon that the girls were excited to get... I'm checking out and the cashier asks about the watermelon that my kid poked a hole through. I'm thrown off thinking she's talking about the baby and I'm like she didn't touch anything. She said, "no, THAT one!" and points at my 6yo and describes and demonstrates her poking a hole in the cellophane and smashing her palm into it and my 6yo was immediately denying it but she does lie sometimes so I was like ok, I guess we're buying that too. It was a 1/4 of a yellow watermelon wrapped in cellophane (video below) for $1.49. Initially I'm annoyed with my 6yo because she knows better... so I go to pick it up, confused because there's not one with a hole or smashed so I asked the cashier which one it was and I picked it up to take it. I look at it and there are NO holes and none of it was smashed anywhere. I'm immediately pissed because the tone of the cashier already threw me for a loop but to accuse, in detail, my 6yo of doing something that she didn't do is insanity. So now my 6yo is upset and embarrassed for being singled out... I asked my 8yo If she saw anything and she said 6yo leaned onto the table with her palm and pointed at it to show her but she didn't touch it. (8yo tells the truth, always, to a fault sometimes) so I load the kids into the car, get my stuff out of the cart and put the cart back (not quietly) and in the heat of the moment blare my horn as we're leaving (not a proud moment but if I'm going to be transparent... there ya go) Mama bear was pissed because my 6yo is hysterical at this point. She already wasn't feeling the best. Over $1.49, your snarky tone and accusations, you just lost a frequent customer. Not sure if you'd even care.. Apparently ownership has changed, resulting in less variety. For example, at one time good quality individual romaine lettuce was available, but lately only pre-packaged triple romaine hearts are offered. Also, they have shanghai bok choy, but they are sold as a small bunch of three while elsewhere it's priced per lb. That being said, when checking out you need to specify that you are paying cash vs debit or credit. However they really need to have a sign specifying the pricing difference. But no one is trying to rip you off as one person suggests. These days more businesses process debit & credit purchases than cash. read more

Nice little corner produce stand, their veggies and fruits are not as fresh as the name convey. The pricing while they are marked on the stand is not what gets rang up at the register. When I caught her red handed she was like "oh you paying cash? " like since when there is assumptions made about how to pay!! Watch what they do when you pay.. they don't offer receipt either. Great place to find local produce. They have a great array of fruits, vegetables, sauces, salsas, honey, jams, jellies, breads, pastries, orange juice, cheeses, & other items you may use for salads, etc. They have a good number of plants and flowers for your garden as well. Service here is excellent and friendly, and there is a good amount of parking and carts. Right now in January there are tons of Plant City, FL strawberries and Dade City Kumquats. Great place to do your local produce shopping. I do like how everything is shaded and not exposed to our Florida hot sun. read more

What a jewel this place is! Delighted it's not far at all to drive there. Beautiful produce, cheese, jams, eggs and even pie fillings! We love strawberry rhubarb pie but haven't seen rhubarb here in Florida. I picked up a jar of their strawberry rhubarb pie filling and went home and made a delicious pie! Shared with our neighbors who also love that same pie. Soooo delicious! Thank you for carrying that!! After years and years of driving by this little market we finally made our first trip today. And man I regret not stopping by sooner. They have amazing fruits and vegetables that look so tasty and when you take them home they taste better then they looked. They have a good covid-19 policy only letting people go in with one of their green baskets or when another person has return a green basket to the front. (They have a disinfectant spray and paper towels for the basketAll in all this needs to be a place everyone visits. They have a card reader and take Apple Pay they also have flowers that I will be eager to explore on my next trip. read more

Shannon's is fantastic! Great produce great eggs, great prices. Everything is fresh and affordable.

Been coming here for many many years, love this place, they do have a great variety of produce,but on a rare occasion not the best, that's why 4 stars. As long as you know how to pick good produce, you are good to go. Their tomatoes are really the best however. Weekends are packed, weekday morning is the best time to come. Prices are unreal, avocados for example are .79 compare to 1.99 at a grocery shop, unless you buy in bulk of course. Highly recommend read more

I've been to Shannon's Produce many times. The employees are always kind, and willing to help. The store does get a little crowded sometimes, because they are so popular, and there is limited space, but that's to be expected. The produce is fresh, and tasts wonderful. The prices are good most of the time, but occassionally I can find produce in the grocery stores for the same or lower prices. read more

Great local produce and always a chill environment that makes you feel at home. We usually come in the evenings and are able to take our time, while also getting in and out. Prices are far better than our grocery stores but also keep in mind what's in season and what's not. My favorite section is the plants! Potted herbs, succulents, fruit trees and beautiful flowering plants always give pause in our shopping trips. read more

yes i agree Shannon is a nice person but her staff is no good.i have had two bad experiances there where i have been over charged and have caught them.i think if she new it would curl her hair.her hispanic workers are so nice and helpful but her other staff no way when i called the person on it she told me never to come there again.well that is not the only produce market and i spend 20.00 a week but not there no more they can keep.in fact a lot of my fruit has rotted and had to throw away.watch your back there if you don't want to get ripped off.oh yah and her daughter thinks she can run the show because her mom owns the place.jus giving heads up for my time there.not good read more
