I could barely walk or get in and out of a chair without severe pain. I had initially visited a chiropractor, who did nothing but use handheld 'thumping devices' for pain relief which did absolutely nothing. I met with Kyunghee No, LAC and she immediately put me at ease and had a easy going personality. I told her this my first acupuncture experience and that I was a chicken when it came to needles. She laughed and put me at ease and said I wouldn't feel a thing. She was right. Seeing as how my back pain was so severe, she had me lay on my back vs my stomach and began applying the needles to various parts of my body. After about thirty minutes of laying on the table looking like a porcupine, she returned and began removing the needles. She then gave me some PT to work on to help loosen up the tight muscles in my back. I got off the table feeling somewhat better then went I first got on the table. Though this is my first visit to City of Joy Herb and Accupuncture Clinic, I was thoroughly impressed with her demeanor and personality. I have heard that it was freshly brewed Chinese herbal medicine that is made from all natural ingredients. If you have allergies like me, you know what I am talking about when you have to take Zyrtec, Claritin, Allegra, or Alavert, etc, everyday. Of course the pills say non drowsy and such, but I still felt uncomfortable with the idea of consuming chemically made pills everyday. So hearing about how this clinic's medicine is made from natural herbs intrigued me because there would be less or no harmful side effects to the body compared to pills. I decided to try the medicine out and sure enough, it did wonders for me. The medicine was to be heated in boiled water then poured into a cup to drink it. You can't drink water right after you take the medicine because it can be diluted inside you, and it also does taste bitter. However after exactly three days, I felt a significant difference in the amount of mucus in my sinus as well as the level of how stuffy my nose felt. Of course, there's no way to completely cure seasonal allergies, but the way I felt after consuming the medicine is quite different from taking over the counter pills.
