Definitely recommend the HR location over this one. We made an appointment accidentally here - we live 45 min away but decided to keep it and suck it up. The stylist was very curt and rude to my daughter. She kept telling her to "scoot her butt back" in the chair and when she brushed her hair she was really really REALLY rough. My daughter has curly hair and asked if she could wear it curly and the stylist again snapped "I don't know what you mean!" She must have ESP knowing I am writing this review while she is getting her hair cut - because she got slightly nicer at the end. Either way - nope. Not coming back. read more

My little girl had the best experience here!! When our regular kid salon shut down, I did some research and was excited to try this new salon. It was easy to book an appointment online and they were ready for us when we arrived. My daughter is 3 so I prefer not to wait. The salon is adorable and super clean. It has a few different areas with a few different car chairs to pick from. My daughter was offered the Princess room which she excitedly checked out! The Princess room is adorabled with princess dresses, a manicure station, and a frozen jeep for her to sit in and ever pretend to drive while she got her haircut. She even got to watch Netflix, she loved it! Laura, our hair stylist, was amazing! My daughter warmed up to her right away. She cut my daughters hair just as I requested and even did a beautiful braid crown with sparkles! She even gave me some tips to care for my daughter's dry flakey scalp. At the end, they let my daughter pick out a sucker and a balloon. She felt so special and begged me to go back all the way home!!! This place is new and it looks like they are going to be offering kids parties and special events such as Daddy Braiding classes. It looks like they cater to little ones and tweens as well. I've been brining my girls here for about a year but won't come back after today. Was treated like an inconvenience, my oldest actually cried because of how hard they ripped through her tangles with a comb and the stylist didn't even say sorry. She actually scolded her for having tangles... she also was rough with her positioning her head and threatened her that her hair was going to come out terrible because she wasn't holding still. My kid was doing a decent job and is a 6 year old. My youngest had a better stylist but still, they had zero interaction with the kids, rushed through and sent us out the door like we hadn't been loyal customers (not that any customer should be treated that way). For $80 I at least expect my kids to be happy and not crying. The hair cuts did come out nice so that was good but not good enough to come back. read more

We've been to this location a few times, and the stylist is consistently curt with children and parents, and rough with the kids. My son has a bunch of scratches on his neck where she dragged the tip of the clippers super hard against his skin. It wasn't just me, she was really sassy with the people before us. My daughter in law bought her back this week for a cut & was told they could only do a bang trim that lasted less then 10-minutes. This cost $23.00! Kids hair cuts are all about the stylist. We've had great experiences at this Sharkey's. Tonight was the total opposite. Our four year old asked if he could play the XBox while he got his hair cut. That's the whole reason for paying the sort of ridiculous price for a Super Cuts quality cut, right? She said sure. Then she leaned into his personal space as he pulled back and *yelled* if you move when I tell you not to three times I'll TAKE IT AWAY. This while my son pulled back and began to cry. we've gone here for years but today's cut was real bad. for boys cut, they missed half the hair in his neck, didn't trim the front and didn't go over his ears. she didn't even brush his hair before saying she was done. I put him back in the chair twice and he's still uneven in front and shaggy on the sides. for the same price as a salon, I won't be going back. read more

We came here last minute because they had an opening. Our stylist was very rude and not personable at all, we wish we could've had the other lady who was there that day. She at least was friendly to both the kids and the parents. And then on top of that the haircut was subpar at best and then almost $25, definitely not worth that's price!! I'm giving 2 stars only for the atmosphere. My son loved that he got to sit in a police car and watch cocomelon while getting his haircut and then got a balloon and sucker after. He enjoyed it but I won't be back. So if you care more about the experience than the actual haircut this is your place. read more

The service that I booked on the website is described as "Boys Cut (Wash, Cut)". My son's have shoulder length hair and they like having it washed when it's cut. Although the salon is equipped with sinks to wash hair, the stylists only sprayed my boys hair with water. After cutting my son's hair, one stylist asked if it was ok. I asked for her to cut it another half an inch to an inch shorter. I consider this a standard interaction at a salon. When the second stylist seemed done with my younger son's hair, I asked her to cut it shorter as well. At the cash register it was explained to me that because both cuts went over the 15 minute time limit, I was being charged extra. $8 for the request of my older son and $10 for the request on my younger. I wasn't told about the time limit and additional charges when I made the request for the additional length to be cut off. I would not recommend this location for boys haircuts. read more

Yeah Jen was very rude, first when I called. Then when we got there she acted like it was a Bother having to cut my grandsons hair. Didn't really wanna talk to us. No thank you on the tip like if it wasn't enough. Then said we will be back no reply again. The other young girl who was there was really nice though. She did a ok job considering how irritated she was to do it. Definitely won't ever go back. I am really hoping she was just tired and wasn't feeling in a good mood. I have been to this location several times and after my last experience I've decided I won't be coming anymore because of the attitudes of the stylists. The first time I thought it was just a fluke, but it happened again. For a kids haircut salon, I want it to be a positive and fun environment. The past two times I have gone, the stylists have seemed overwhelmed and irritated. I had to get my 2yr old daughters hair cut. She's a hair puller, so I was extremely anxious to cut off most of her hair. Our experience here was wonderful. I spoke with the manager prior to making an appointment. She was able to get us in that evening, which for me, was a huge relief. We arrived at the location and I must say, the inside is designed with kids in mind. At first, I was anxious and didn't know what to expect. We decided to give my little girl a pixie cut... and she looks fabulous. It was a huge relief and I'm extremely pleased with the entire situation. They did a great job designing this place, but seem to have a lot of trouble running it. Shortly after opening I took my son in for a cut and discovered that even though it's a very large shop with lots of chairs they only had one employee to cut hair. Needless to say we were not going to be seen as a walk in and had very few appointments available. This morning we made an appointment for 11 am and my son was very excited to get his cut and a balloon. We showed up 15 min early and no one was there. We left at 11:15 since they were still locked up. After calling the Highlands Ranch location we were told the owner had gone MIA and was not answering the phone. He usually gets super nervous and fidgets a lot during a haircut, but she was so fast and explained everything she was going to do that it was the best haircut he's had. We went in for a haircut for our 2 year old- and we were a little late- we called ahead and decided to try to make it anyway. We were greeted with a VERY VERY RUDE woman who reminded us that we were exactly 13 minutes late. She started off on the defense. She started with the counting of the minutes we were late..counting of the exact minutes and their late policy. I just stared as she went off on me. I can accept the fact that we were late and inconvenienced them for missing our appointment time. I can apologize and leave nicely. She didn't even give it a chance. I CANNOT deal with the rudeness, the confrontational style of her demeanor- it was like a high school bully about ready to get into a fight. No thanks. We will never come back. We have two little boys who get about 8 haircuts per year for the next 5 years. I'll spend that $2500 elsewhere. Jaymie and Laura have consistently shown my husband and i so much care and attentiveness to our kids and created such a wecoming and prfessional environmwnt, we feel we must give such good credit where its due. Never in 10 yrs or more have we experienced such consistency from 2 stylists having pride in thier workplace, under so much uncertainty with ownership disfunction at opening, and the transfer of new owner recently withqp grace and contiued to give the same wonderful servive. There are plenty of other great children haircut places in Littleton. Definitely Wouldn't recommend this place for a children's haircut. There was a roll over accident on our way in and we arrived 8 mins late. Without being courteous, the lady (assuming Jen from the reviews) snarky said that she couldn't cut our sons hair. We don't like being late to anything but sometimes stuff is outside our control. Was really unimpressed with the people that were working and their attitude. Not to mention, two people were working and no child was getting a haircut. Must be getting paid by the hour and not really put much into the customer experience. Unfortunately had a terrible experience as our first experience. We set an appointment online, which was confirmed with a text stating the appointment is confirmed and will see us at the appt time. Arrive for appointment and the store is closed with paper hours displayed on the door. The appointment was at 5:45 on a Friday. Hours stated on the paper taped to the door as "new temporary hours" stated Fridays open until 8pm. We called to find no answer. We left a kind and calm message wishing to speak with someone about the appointment mishap. Never got a return call, never was able to reach someone. Can only assume or imagine what is the reasoning for the store not to be open DURING the listed hours even temporary listed hours. Seems like they do not care for customer satisfaction. The most unfortunate part of this experience is that we live in evergreen, and had to commute all the way into town, to find the store closed and no one willing to help us or satisfy us. Amazing stylist! Both ladies were very friendly and really enjoy working with kids. They are very respectful of both the parents and the kids hair cut preference. My 8 year old requests to go to Sharkys everytime. My 3.5 year old daughter was so ready for her first haircut - and kept telling me about it. I had heard that Sharkeys had opened a location near me, and that they were good for kids. I'm so glad we made our appointment here. The Frozen themed car/chair was a lot of fun for her, and as an added bonus, they have televisions with Netflix streaming - to let the client choose their entertainment of choice (Superwhy for us). Our stylist put my daughter at ease, and got input from both of on her new style. After the cut was completed, she braided my daughter's hair and added glitter spray. Then came the nail polish! Our visit ended with a first haircut certificate complete with a smiling "after" photo, and a lock of hair. On the whole, this was a wonderful pampering experience for my daughter. She asked to go back the next day, and was disappointed to learn that it'll be a while before she's ready for another haircut. When it is time, though, we'll definitely be back! read more
