In an emergency, these ladies rescued us! On the day of a special event, our stylist flaked and I immediately got on yelp looking for the best. I tried different salons and all of them said no without prior appointments. I called Salon Palazzo and they way they answered the phone was so calming - especially because I was freaking out! The woman on the phone said "you're in luck" and put me down for three times with the rest of my party! We got there and got treated so nicely- and it wasn't just us, the rest of the customers coming in were treated beautifully as well. We were offered coffee and water and even a pillow- because I was falling asleep ( I'd been up since 4:30 waiting for my stylist)! I absolutely loved the service! Shea was my mom and cousin's' stylist. She made them both look absolutely beautiful! My mom always has trouble with stylist doing the look she wants and Shea rocked it! My mom was absolutely happy with her look! I had Caitlyn who did some beautiful curls on my long locks of hair! The salon was pretty busy when we got there at 9, so I would highly recommend making an appointment. We got in there with pure luck without one! I am not quite sure what went wrong but I went in for a cut and color with Shea, and I loved my cut and color at the time I left the salon. But with the first wash on the 3rd day, it looked like the color washed out. I waited a few more days, trying to decide what to do and got a 2nd opinion from another hair person who agreed that the color hadn't taken. A weeks worth of texting back and 4th with Shea, and then another week before she could get me in. Needless to say, it was now 3 weeks out and her response was that it was normal out grow. She did redo the color but it was an awkward, quiet hour. The color took and lasted the normal 4 weeks so can't say what happened. I will not be going back, and I got the impression I wasn't welcome to come back. Too bad, cause I loved my hair cut and the end result of color. read more

I came in for braids as it's an offered service and she was so nice, but honestly it's not something they should. Say is provided. She braided my hair wet which left it tiny, flat and plastered to my head. It didn't look like the photo I provided. I just got my hair done by Katie Brenner here and have been going to her for about 6 months now and she never fails to impress me. This last time I wanted my roots to blend more with the rest of my hair and just get an overall natural feel. Katie then tried a new technique on me with a double process. First covering up the red in my hair then doing a complete highlight lowlight of my entire hair. It took about 4 hours but I was so happy with the results. I didn't even care that it took this long because I knew Katie was taking her time to make sure it was absolutely perfect. She's awesome and not afraid to try new things. Many years ago I had a bad experience getting my hair cut, and it scarred me for life. Long story short I waited a year and a half to get my most recent hair cut. We moved across town and I was unsure of where to go. My significant other recommended Salon Palazzo because he has been getting his hair cut there for 10+ years. He recommended Lisa McNitt because he has been getting his hair cut by her since he started going there. I finally made an appointment to get my hair trimmed. I have really long hair and I knew I was going to lose some length because of how long I had waited. I was impressed that I actually did not lose as much as I had anticipated. Lisa did an excellent job and my hair looks wonderful. I already have my next hair cut scheduled in July, so I do not fall back into the bad habit of not going again. I really like their text reminders and e-mail reminders of the appointments. I would like to think I keep good track of my calendar, but that is not the case. The reminders are helpful, and convenient. They offer a number of different services, including nail services. I might check it out the next time I go in. read more

My cut and color is always perfect and she is very good at telling me what cut and color works with my face shape, skin and hair type (super thick and stubborn). I previously called a different salon and you can only leave a message - no one ever called me back. Beth was the stylist that cut my hair. Went here because of the reviews, and actually had a good experience with Corrine. Then when I went to make another appointment a few months later, she called me the day of and cancelled my appt b/c she was sick. We rescheduled for the following week (she only works Weds), but had to cancel since my husband had to work late and there was no one to watch my daughter. She called me the next day and rudely told me that she can no longer accept me as a client because I cancelled twice on her (??) Umm.. No she cancelled me once! This was a first time visit for me after being loyal to another salon in Texas. I called a week prior to my appointment and spent about 15 minutes on the phone explaining what I wanted and making sure all was clear with the receptionist. I was just sent home from my appointment because I was booked with a stylist that does not provide that service. Will never be back and am so frustrated with the lack of attention I was given. They tried to book me out with someone else a week later and double the price that I was quoted over the phone. I'm so disappointed and had to scramble to find an appointment that same day as I was leaving town the next day. I ended up at Modefi Salon...explained what I wanted over the phone (a simple toner on my base! Palazzo treated this like I was asking for brain surgery!) and they got me in within an hour. I refer to Katie Brenner as my hair GODDESS!! Listen up ladies, you want to go to Katie, she's a PRO, she pays attention to detail and she will take care of you. My experience with salons have not been pretty. Stylists say " Oh, I can match your natural color" I had GREEN hair when I approached Katie's chair from a stylist that called herself a professional..(horrible experience). When I left Katie for the first time my hair looked beautiful and I was so happy with it. She took the time to explain that getting the green out would happen right away, but to fix my hair color from a brunette back to my natural blonde color would be a PROCESS. When I went to Katie back in December for the second part of my process she turned me away. Wait? What? Yes! turned me away and I have SO much respect for her for doing this. Katie cared more than anything about taking care of my hair than putting money in her pocket. My hair was still so damaged from the prior stylist that I had to condition and nurture my hair for a few months. If she would have colored it in December, I would have had major breakage and instead of mid-back length hair, would have probably left the salon with a pixie cut. Now- my process is about complete. I will not allow anyone else to touch my hair. Katie is my angel and she can be yours too. Don't like something? She will take the time to fix it! Want bright purple streaks? she's your girl. The industry is very competitive but Katie is unlike any of the stylists you've been to. She spends countless hours continuing her education so she is up to date on all of the new trends and styles. She will color/fix/cut your hair in a way you will LOVE and you will be happy that you saw her. She makes your chair time comfortable and relaxes you with a nice scalp massage with your shampoo/conditioner. Coming from me....a gal who's been through the ringer with stylists.. She is excellent at her job, great sense of humor, she's fast and keeps detailed notes on my specific requests. One of the first things the receptionist asks when I walk in is if I'd like a cup of coffee or tea. It's relaxing, friendly and feels like old home day each time I go in. I really appreciate the confirmation texts I get a couple of days before my appointment. When I make my appointment, I immediately get a text with the date and time. One less worry. Worst experience I've ever had at a salon. My hairdresser was Kat. I have blonde hair and needed highlights. After she completed my highlights my hair still had too inches of roots that were very obvious and with very little blonde highlights. She insisted it was normal to have this much roots. When I got home, it became obvious she did not do a good job. I called her back that day to let her know my hair was too dark, she was very annoyed and abrupt with me on the phone and stated she could put a few more highlights in if I wanted. I booked an appointment for 8 weeks later, since she was so annoyed with me, living with it, hoping that I would get used to the color. I did not. I spoke with her on the phone again she was very rude and cancelled my appointment. Having your hair done is costly. It should be a relaxing enjoyable experience. The experience I had was awful. I don't need to be treated in this manner when I paid money for a service. Their are many other stylists and salons available that I'm sure appreciate paying customers.
