I reached out to CSC while planning my trip and coach Christie was very communicative and welcoming. The first class is free, which is really awesome as I'd paid $34 for the drop in I did in another city and it was very disappointing. My friend ended up wanting to join me so I sent Christie a text the night before asking if I could bring her, and she confirmed right away. We attended the Monday @ 5:30am class taught by Christie and it was great! The other class members were friendly, the session was challenging and I feel like I got a really good workout in. I hadn't planned to return on Tuesday morning, but roped my friend into coming with me again *evil laugh*. Antioco was the coach for the 5:30am class on Tuesday and we enjoyed another a**-kicking session. My shoulders and arms were toast after Monday's dumbbell bench complex and then Tuesday's handstand pushups + med ball slams! As class was wrapping up, I overheard one of the coaches talking about the 5K run they were going to do at 6:30am. Thinking it was a chill group run kind of situation, I asked if I could join them. It ended up being more of a 5K time trial kind of situation and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Thank you for letting me join you Tyler! In my almost 15years of adulthood I had failed to stick to every exercise program or gym membership I had. I was given an opportunity to get a membership at CRCF in exchange for working hours in the daycare room they had. I had been curious about CrossFit, so eagerly signed up. I started from 0. Three months postpartum and knowing nothing about the CF world. The coaches were always patient and incredibly helpful at scaling things to my ability. I quickly fell in love (drank the CrossFit cool aid). I felt fitter and stronger than at any other point in my adult life. Of course COVID-19 put an end to that. And then I had another baby and moved cross country! Recently I finally joined a local CrossFit gym and opted to do the intro classes as a refresher since it had been 2+ years. The owner of the gym did the classes with me and went over all the common movements. He said several times, "whoever taught you did a great job, you have great form!" The results I have seen on my mind, body, and soul are nothing short of amazing. This is my second home. One thing I really love about this studio is that each instructor has their own unique way of teaching, which keeps the classes fresh and exciting. I never get bored because I am always learning new strategies and techniques. You are encouraged to work at your own pace especially if you have any injuries. The environment at IMX Pilates Gilroy is also incredibly friendly and fun. The staff and fellow members make every workout feel like a breeze. It's a place where I can push myself to new limits while still enjoying every moment. Cleanliness is essential after use of equipment. Overall, I can't recommend IMX Pilates Gilroy enough. The studio was clean and welcoming, the instructor was friendly and patient as she introduced me to the basic Pilates movements. Some were challenging and modified movements were offered. After that intro class I was excited to try a regular class and did so a few days later. The instructor was awesome and took great care of me as I clumsily performed the movements. Other people in the class were supportive and encouraging and kept an eye on me so when I got lost on a movement or didn't understand something, they helped me out. People of all shapes, sizes and fitness levels are in these classes. If you're curious about Pilates but aren't sure what it is or whether you can do it, take the intro class at this studio! What have you got to lose - it's a free class! And yes, I did sign up for a membership.

They are constantly ignoring the just talking amongst themselves at their table while the young babies play across the room like they arent even watching. The lessons learned through working out with Meli have been invaluable--I came in as someone who only did cardio, and now I'm confident with all types of exercises and heavy weight lifting. In addition to losing weight and toning my body, Meli helped me strengthen my weak ankles and improve my hip mobility until the clicking on my hips stopped. I learned things I did not expect--like when to implement dynamic stretches vs. static stretches and different types of movements to improve flexibility and balance.
