Like others have mentioned, she is busy but when she gets in the room, she is 100% engaged and committed to what's happening with you. She is proactive in monitoring and catching chronic disease before it progresses, and she is so completely thorough in explaining medicine in every-day terms. She won't make you feel crazy coming in with twenty questions and self-diagnoses, and will explain on every point what's happening or not happening. After some questionable test results, she referred me to a specialist who diagnosed me quickly, rather than enduring health issues for years like so many other patients. I told him that I was looking for a new PCP but hadn't found one yet. I'll never forget him saying: "I can be your PCP", and that was it. I immediately trusted him and appreciated his warm and reassuring manner. He correctly diagnosed 'Conn's Syndrome' as the cause of my high BP, (over 200), brain fog, weakness and loss of appetite. He connected me with a wonderful Endocrinologist, Ginny Bao, MD, who, together with Dr. Hamway, adjusted my RX to finally get my BP down to a safe range, and it has stayed in a safe healthy range now since April 2025. I am very grateful to Dr. Hamway for his quick and accurate diagnosis of 'Conn's Syndrome' and helping me get back to a healthy life.
