I had the pleasure of knowing Dr. Hilbert when I lived in SF. When I needed rotator cuff surgery she referred me to Dr. William Montgomery who I later learned was the Giant's doctor. I had the surgery and the recovery was pretty rapid. She is an excellent doctor. read more

A friend referred my girlfriend. The doctor ordered lab work but never got back to her with the review of the lab work results.

I should have checked reviews here first - the negative ones are 100% accurate. I've only been once but will not be back. While friendly enough, she completed a "full physical exam" / intake assessment by listening to heartbeat and having a nurse take blood pressure. In response to the one procedure I did inquire about, she said she needed to refer me to a surgeon because it's a significant procedure. Something I know is not true based on friends' experiences and even a basic WebMD search. I also heard contradictory responses to my questions about a different procedure - first it was "there is no alternative" and then 10 min later it was "a routine test can be used instead." She gave me a form to take somewhere else to get routine blood tests - they don't even do THIS in office! - and left the room - without saying anything like bye or thanks for coming in. I had to shout after her to ask if that was it and I should go? It may be she just isn't the right fit for me or I'm an annoying first time client, but it was definitely a total waste of time and I wouldn't want to need help from this office with anything actually serious. read more

Unfortunately, I have to agree with the worst of the reviews here. Dr. Hilbert kept me waiting for almost an hour when I visited her as a new patient for a physical. She said that she had an emergency, but when I read the rest of the reviews here is seems to be pattern. Getting lab test results and a return call took three weeks and several calls. I would give Dr Hilbert herself 4-5 stars, but the administrative staff at the office is barely 1 star. They rarely return calls which leaves patients having to chase them down to schedule appointments, or get test results, or ask a billing question. I have tried to give Dr Hilbert a chance, I really did. But after several years and multiple occasions receiving rude unprofessional comments (such as criticism of my choice of sexual partners) and finally making me feel dreadful for showing up to the office when I was really sick and coughing ("You should have gone to urgent care instead!") I wish I came here before I wasted my time with this Doctor. Like many people who posted here I also waited an hour and no one even came in to check on me. I finally came outside of the room and who do I see on the phone chatting away with another patient... Dr. Hilbert. It's fine if she ran over but no one came in to even let me know. I sat in the room like an idiot waiting. When I asked to reschedule they said oh sorry.. she is booked for a very long time. To give you context it took me over a year to get a booking with her... then now you are going to tell me its going to take basically another when its your fault... don't waste your time with this unprofessional hospital and doctor. Although Dr. Hilbert was just fine as my treating physician, it's almost impossible to get anyone from her office to call me back. They have no online scheduling platform that I can find, so I just have to call. I don't get sick very often, and when I do I just go to an Urgent Care because it's just easier. However, I am in need of a prescription refill and a referral for physical therapy and I have tried calling multiple times over the course of the last year and leave long messages and no one ever calls me back. I spent months - MONTHS - looking for a GP. I wanted someone I would see for years to come, as I had just lost my old GP due to moving, so I really did my homework. Flash forward to my appointment, and all I could do was wonder where I went so wrong. How could yelp and the rest of the internet lead me this astray? Some highlights of my mind-boggling appointment include: 1. Being taken late 2. Being weighed in winter clothing (because that's accurate) 3. Having blood pressure taken through layers of clothing (because that's accurate...) 4. Incredibly rude comments throughout the appointment Long story short, I found this doctor to have a nonexistent bedside manner which, again, was shocking given her good reviews. Re: #4, I was blown away by some of the comments made to me. They were not only distasteful and unprofessional but completely unnecessary. The office building is difficult to find - staff from a neighboring hospital building actually failed to navigate me here themselves - and I wish I would have taken that as a sign to go home. Total waste of time and money! I made an appointment for a physical and it was the fastest "physical" ever (if you can even call it that) I left the office and immediately starting looking for a new doctor because I was not happy with my appointment since all my concerns were disregarded and not addressed. Four months later I get a bill for the appointment and I call because I shouldn't have to pay for a physical. The man on the phone in charge of billing was so rude and basically told me I had no choice but to pay because according to Dr Hilbert we had other conversations about things not related to a physical. I've never had a problem playing for my appointments but when I feel like it was a total waste of time I do! read more

Do not go here unless you want to burn money on expenses you should never be charged. I saw Dr. Hilbert in 2015. I stated over the phone that I was trying to make an appointment for my annual physical, and I was able to make an appointment as a first time patient without any hesitation. I saw Dr. Hilbert, who was nice enough, and during the appointment she asked me if anything was wrong. To keep things honest, I told her I had constant neck pain, which I thought was from sitting at a desk all day...she told me to stretch. Fast forward, I get a bill for the visit, which should have been coded as a preventive annual physical exam. I call billing, and speak with the rudest man I've ever dealt with, who flat out told me, "Because of Obamacare you complained about neck pain and that's been coded as diagnostic and therefore you have to pay". I then send in my HSA information to pay this bill, against my will. A year later, I get a PAST DUE billing notification that says I never paid. What did they do with the HSA information I sent in on time??? I called billing, spoke to the very same jerk, who blamed my HSA vendor and said there was an issue with that, not their billing department. Okay... I didn't do anything after that because I knew I had paid, they had my HSA card's information, and I knew I never should have been billed in the first place. Fast forward to January 2017, I get another late payment notice along with a collections agency threat typed on a blank page stapled to my bill. I call Steven, the same jerk who still works in their terrible billing department, who NOW tells me that Dr. Hilbert DOESN'T DO ANNUAL PHYSICAL EXAMS. Two years later I'm told that my visit never would have been covered as preventive. Two years later I'm told this. I'm appalled. He then claimed he never told me two years prior that "Because of Obamacare I was charged for complaining about neck pain". I asked if he recorded our call for verification of this, he goes, "No, did YOU record it?". This is beyond shady. He said he wrote the collections note hoping that we could "talk it out on the phone" and that "he's known Dr. Hilbert for years, she didn't misdiagnose me". DO NOT GO HERE. I had to pay this jerk over the phone, he said it would be paid and I'd be charged in a day or two and it took two weeks to finally see it on my HSA account. He said they'd send me a receipt for proof of payment, NEVER GOT IT. I don't expect to get it. This is by far the shadiest most unprofessional "medical group" I've ever encountered. To end this on a positive note, shout out to One Medical Group! They are truly amazing, and the only primary care I'll receive going forward, especially now that I live in NYC. Their physicians actually know how to properly code your visits, and they are up front, clear and concise when you have questions around costs. I wish anyone working with Mercy Medical Group the best of luck, but honestly save the time and hassle by never having to deal with Stuck in Billing Shady Steven if you don't need to. read more

I love the way Dr. Hilbert treats me as her patient (she admittedly has a great disposition and thoroughly reviews my file and spends adequate time with me) but I feel like she has done me a great disservice. I used to go to her complaining about feeling extreme fatigue and she would tell me that it was stress and prescribed me anti anxiety medicine (addicting!). Typical current health care scenario. I was in there one day with a bad flu when Hilbert was on vacation. So I saw another doctor in the clinic that referred me out after realizing I had tumors all over my thyroid. All this time (3 years), I have been suffering with thyroid goiter and other autoimmune diseases. This could have been avoided if she would have just tested me further upon my insistent complaints that "something is really wrong with me". I feel like I suffered needlessly for a long time because a physician didn't go the extra mile to figure out what was going on with my body or just order the extra tests (perhaps the tests were too expensive but what does it matter to her?) On my own wedding day, I even woke up feeling sick and tired. I will never get those moments back so I feel a bit dismayed over the whole situation. The doctor who did help me there was Dr. Caluag and I have since changed over to her. I'm still getting to know her style but I must say that she returns calls promptly (herself, not her assistants!), sends any labs I need through email which is so rare these days. The one star is primarily for the doctor's office, not Dr. Hilbert herself. Dr. Hilbert's PA, Judith, is beyond horrible. She will NEVER EVER return your phone calls. EVER. If you are having a problem with your insurance, or even if you are just trying to ask her a question, your best bet is to call the office REPEATEDLY until she answers her line. My partner recently was having trouble getting an MRI approved by her insurance, but a phone call to the MRI people revealed that Judith had NEVER SENT THE PAPERWORK OVER in the first place! She then adamently denied that this was true (even though it had taken them over a month to get the documents to the correct people). She is nice on the phone, yes, but don't let that fool you -- she is completely and utterly incompetent. The rest of the staff at Dr. Hilbert's office is rude and condescending. A recent phone call to the office for an appointment left my partner waiting for at least five minutes on hold. When the staff member finally offered a date for an appointment, my partner said, "hold on, let me just check my calendar for that day." Not 10 seconds later the a$$hole staff member is whining, "HELLO! I have other patients waiting, you know!" (not joking, she really said that, and as condescendingly as you can imagine!) Uhm, oh sorry! You can put me on hold for 5 minutes but you can't wait 10 seconds for me to check my calendar? Seriously, if you are considering Dr. Hilbert's office, PLEASE go elsewhere and save yourself a large heap of annoyance and ridiculous, childish behavior on the part of the staff. Dr. Hilbert is okay as a doctor... she *does* overschedule herself with appointments, though. Expect to wait at least 30-45 minutes past your appointment time to actually see her. read more

Dr. Hilbert was late for several appointments. When I rescheduled appointments the staff was very rude. Dr. Hilbert would not help me to wean off Morphine, then sent me a certified letter saying she no longer was going to be my doctor? Because of re-scheduled appointments? I WONDER WAS SHE COUNTING THE ONES SHE WAS LATE FOR OR MISSED TOO? SHE SEEMS VERY NEW, AND NOT TOO CONFIDENT. I WOUL D DEFINITELY NOT REFER PEOPLE TO HER. When I asked her to help me wean off all the hard /heavy narcotics her response to me was "I've never taken as much as a vicodin" and wanted to refer me to a Pain Mgmt. Doc. which is who got me on 400 mg of ms contin, liquid morphine, and percocet for good measure I guess. Luckily , I found Amber Bellamy a true life saver who I could be honest and comfortable with . She weaned me slowly and gave me the option to stop at any time. But with Dr. Bellamy's help I was able to get off ALL narcotic pain meds! She is an angel! read more

UPDATE: Well I opted to stay with Dr. Hilbert and I'm glad I did. She is great to work and she really cares about my health. The office staff has changed a bit over the year for the better and I hope the changes continue. ORIGINAL: I've been going to Dr. Hilbert for the last 2 years. Dr. Hilbert is amazing, she is caring and really listens, but the office staff is HORRIBLE. The staff still doesn't know how to pronounce my name correctly. I didn't realize that my name was difficult, no one else ever seems to have problems with it. I scheduled an appointment to have two stitches taken out of my leg last year. After being in the waiting room for 45 minutes I asked the front desk how much longer it was going to be, they told me soon and rolled their eyes. I waited 10 more minutes, asked for my co-pay back and took the stitches out myself. Then a month ago I had severe abdominal pain that went on for four days. This was something that hasn't ever happened and I didn't know if I should be concerned. I called the office to talk with someone and I was stuck leaving a message. I left a message and I never received a phone call back! I resorted to calling my 80-year old grandmother who was an RN and she gave me the advice I was seeking. I have debated switching physicians, but I figure I'll give Dr. Hilbert and her office one last chance. I'll be going back for an annual physical and check-up soon, so I'll wait and see how things go before I make my final decision. read more

Dr. Hilbert is a great physician; she is patient and listens well and provides the kind of care you expect from a doctor. It is very hard to get a last-minute appointment, which makes urgent appointments (you know, the kind where you actually need to see a doctor right away?) next to impossible. What is really disappointing is the support staff. The staff never seem to be available when I call. Not once in the last 5 years have I ever called their office and had somebody pick up the phone. I always leave a message and they call me back, if I'm lucky, within a few hours. On the not-so-lucky occasions I leave about 3 messages before the medical assistant returns my calls. The medical assistant, Judith, has been rude to me over the phone as well as to other doctors' offices. I recently broke my arm and needed a referral to a specialist ASAP, and finding my own specialist was more painful than the broken arm! The lack of attention makes me feel like they have too many patients to give each one the care that they deserve. read more

I like Dr. Hilbert - she is personable, listens to me, and doesn't rush through the appointment. I have had to wait quite a long time (more than an hour) on occasion to see her. The low rating is for the same problem other reviewers have mentioned: the impossibility of getting a same day or even same week appointment with her for urgent problems (infections or follow-ups to emergency room visits, for example). Her office staff is awful. No human ever answers the phone. Instead, you are instructed to leave a message, but they don't return your calls. Yesterday, the message said someone would call me back in **24 hours**! What kind of service is that? And of course, 24 hours later is a Saturday, so I won't get a call until at least Monday. I usually have had to call 3 times to get someone to respond. Then, there are no appointments until a week, 3 weeks, or 3 months later. What good is having a good doctor if I can never get to see her when I need to? I'm looking for a new doctor, one that I can actually get in to see when I have an urgent problem. read more

I used to love the fact that Dr. Hilbert actually knew who I was even though I came in only once a year and when I had other issues, I think she actually reviews charts before her patients show up . . . surprisingly, not something that's so easy to find in this city. I'm going to make this quick because overall my experiences with her were good, heck they were pretty damn great. Until I started suffering from a crazy stomach bacteria. I needed a referral to a specialist to get my tummy fixed - I literally couldn't eat anything without crippling pain so I went on an anno diet just to get through workdays, yeah I am that crazy that sometimes work comes before my general well being. After waiting . . . still . . . for nearing a month for a referral to be sent to my specialist of choice, which includes medical notes, I've heard no word and I can assure you it's not the specialist's office that's screwing things up, it's Mercy Dr.s and Dr. Hilbert whom I've called 3 times and left 2 messages explaining the specialist's requirements for getting me into their office. I saw Dr. Hilbert this morning. There was no wait - I was in and out within in an hour. The woman who took my blood pressure was kind and cheerful. Dr. Hilbert quoted my yelp review (from 8/27) and said she was surprised to see me, given my negative experience. I explained the frustration I'd had with booking an appointment, and she told me that they'd replaced the front desk staff with new people and had hired an office manager. They'd updated the phone system so that if you press 1, you get to speak with a person. What a huge relief! It is really nice to know that our experiences as patients matter and are being taken into account. read more

The best doctor, hands down, I've ever been treated by. She is very professional, yet very caring. Dr Hilbert seems to never enter the room un prepared. She alwasy discusses treatment and is concerned about my thoughts and feelings. In an emergency Judith, her assistant, will often get me in same, or next day. If its not, usually within the week.. Dr. Hilbert treated me for 15 years in San Francisco, and when I moved 55 minutes away I looked for a new doctor. I saw about 4 doctor but never received the same level of service. I continue to drive to SF when I need medical care and don't intend to stop. read more

If you are looking for a doctor who really listens to you and truly wants you to feel you're best, then go see Dr. Hilbert. I couldn't imagine going to another doctor or being supported by another team. I have a complicated medical history, and when I moved to SF, I was really nervous to find a doctor who would work with me and help me navigate through life with medical challenges. Dr. Hilbert is truly my health partner - She takes the time to sit and listen to me, go through my medical history, and work with me to help me get the treatment I need. I feel very fortunate to see Dr. Hilbert as my primary care physician. Her medical assistant, Judith, has also been so wonderful to me. I have been going to Dr. Hilbert for several years. I love her - she never makes me feel like my questions are stupid, and she always makes me feel comfortable. BUT. It's very difficult to get a same-day (if not same-week) appointment. Not a huge deal, if you only go to the doctor once a year. But if you have an issue that you want to speak with her about, good luck. When you call for a consult, it always goes immediately to voicemail, then when you get a call back, it is never from Dr. Hilbert herself. Judith in particular is awful - very rude and non-responsive. I had better luck with Jane recently. Overall, I really want to keep Dr. Hilbert, but it's just too much of an ordeal to get advice, get an appointment, and get into the city. The time has come for me to switch doctors. read more

I very much like Dr. Diana Hilbert. She is very interested in what you, the patient, has to say. She wants to know what YOU think is going on with your health, and that's a real attribute in a doctor these days. The scheduling thing is hard, it's true. She only works a few days a week in the office, I believe, and so you might need to wait a week to get in to see her. However, if it's very urgent, she will fit you in at the end of her day, and stay late to see you. I know she's working on correcting some of the issues with the office staff, so I'd still recommend her, despite some other reviewers here. She's an honest, personable, thoughtful doctor, and a real person, too. read more

Dr. Hilbert has been my primary care doctor for 14 years and I am very pleased with her as my doctor. I trust her opinions and diagnosis. There has never been a time that she didn't have time for me. I can count on her and her assistant Judith and that gives me peace of mind. They know my medical history and are very thorough with following up. I can tell that they really care for their patients. If that weren't the case, then I wouldn't have kept her as my primary for as long as I have. Thank you, Dr. Hilbert and Judith for always being there for me! 5-stars for being a very good doctor who truly listens not just to your ailments but even to your personal stuff. Dr. HIlbert DOES make the time to see her patients especially when it's an urgent situation as my own. I've called her office on a few occasions hoping to get a last minute appointment & they have always been accomodating. If there was a rating on the staff who makes the appt.'s it should be separate as to the rating of the physician. If you belong to St. Mary's Hospital (which Dr. Hilbert's medical group is affiliated with), the urgent care/emergency sticks to their motto of waiting no more than 30 minutes. They are amazing there! I used to go to UCSF & it was a long process of getting an appointment. I can't say too much about their emergency dept. either. Great Doctor. She listens very well and seemed to really understand and want to address all of my concerns. I came ready to wait in the office due to all the other reviews about running behind etc. so the wait time wasn't bad at all. For the record I would always expect to wait in a Doctor's office. I blame It on the patients, not the doctors. Usually some a-wad comes in wanting a general check-up when something really serious is going on, oh lets say chest pain for 4 days. Plus people walk-in thinking they have an emergency when they should have just made an appointment. If any of these situations occur it's bye-bye timely wait! Dr. Hilbert and her staff are some of the best in the business. My mother has been going to her for 7 years. I was so impressed with her level of care and concern for my mom that I actually changed my insurance plan so that I could become Dr. Hilbert's patient. The short answer is that Dr. Hilbert saved my mom's life. Because Dr. Hilbert listened to her, weighed all the variables, and was so responsive, my mom's esophogeal cancer was caught at Stage 1 and she has been cancer free for 5 years. That's a cancer rarely caught so early but because Dr. Hilbert listened, really listened, she pushed to get tests quickly and pushed until we had answers. She is so compassionate and really cares about her patients. Her staff is phenomenal. Over the years, we have seen employees come and go. One thing has remained consistent - their level of service. They are friendly, personable, competent, and organized. They always know us by name and make all of theri patients feel welcomed and comfortable. I recommend Dr. Hilbert to everyone I can. After reading the reviews before mine, I wasn't exactly looking forward to my appointment with Dr. Hilbert this morning. I've been to see her once before, for my new-patient visit, and the whole experience did seem a bit rushed-through. But this morning was such a pleasant surprise. I did have to wait for about 15 minutes to see her - but what doctor's office isn't usually booked solid? In the meantime, the office staff helped me with a couple questions I had. And once she got to me, Dr. Hilbert was super-friendly, asking questions and keeping things light and informal. She explained what I had without dumbing it down too much, and told me to come back in a week or so if I still wanted another test. Oh yeah, did I mention that I only called yesterday to schedule the appointment? I'm sure it's uncommon to get such quick turnaround, but still, the whole experience was a welcome relief. read more

Superlatives can't begin to express how good a doctor she is! But more importantly, she's got the basics down pat. She pays attention, asks the RIGHT questions, listens and truly cares about how I'm doing. She's excellent about coordinating care with other specialists. As for her staff? They've always been excellent to deal with! Remember, when there's a problem, it's not the people (at least in this office) but the SYSTEM's they are having to negotiate!! Dr. Hilbert seems to be a good physician, and once I finally saw her she was able to address my problem (insomnia). That's the best I can say, however. I waited 30 minutes past my appointment time in a room next to her office, where I overheard her entire conversation about field tile with her contractor. By the time she walked into the examination room, I was *not* happy. She was defensive when I confronted her about making me wait, so our first few minutes were quite tense. In any case, we worked it out, she apologized, and after listening to my symptoms she gave me a prescription for something to help me sleep. She then stated *specifically* that if I had any issues or wanted to change my Rx, to call and leave a message for her assistant Judith, and that she would address anything I needed right away. I thought that was really thoughtful, and I walked out feeling pretty good about my experience. Two days later, I called Judith to say that I needed something different to help me sleep, since the first Rx made me feel ill. I left a long, detailed message (as Dr. Hilbert had told me to do), including my pharmacy's phone number. **Crickets** No call back for 2 days. Finally I got a confused-sounding message from Judith, saying that she got a message, but didn't know what I wanted (really?? I left full details!) and could I please call her back. That was yesterday. I left the same long, detailed message yesterday afternoon, and have heard nothing since. I'm definitely moving on from this office. Even if Dr. Hilbert is a great doctor, this place is so poorly run, it is not worth sticking it out to be her patient. Avoid if you treasure your sanity. read more

I finally decided to make an appointment for an annual exam because I wanted to take better care of my health. After checking yelp and figuring out which doctors would take my insurance, I chose Dr. Hilbert based on her positive reviews and location (near my apartment). I particularly liked the reviews that said she was punctual for her appointments, and I figured I could deal with the office staff issues people mentioned. I called to make an appointment and spoke to the receptionist who had a very "casual" style when speaking to patients (at one point she snapped "huh?" when she didn't get the spelling of my name), but I was able to make the appointment without too much hassle. I thought this was a good sign. I was told that Dr. Hilbert only works three days a week so I had to take an appointment in the middle of the day on a Wednesday. That meant that I had to take the morning off from work and schedule any calls or meetings for the afternoon. I work in the financial district so I expected to get back to my office by 2 pm. How could a routine medical appointment take more than 1.5-2 hours, right? It can if you go to Dr. Hilbert. I arrived punctually for my 11:30 am appointment. After filling out my paperwork, I sat in the outdated gray waiting room for 40 minutes while other patients talked loudly on their cell phones and the office staff got into a tizzy about their lunch order. Finally, around 12:10 pm, a nurse came out and told me that Dr. Hilbert was running behind and would not be able to see me for 20-30 more minutes. A number of thoughts ran through my mind: (1) if the doctor was running behind that long, couldn't she have told me this when I first arrived? (2) if the doctor was running behind that long, couldn't she have asked someone to call me so I could plan around it and take care of things that I needed to do? (3) since her office policy (which was taped to a door in the waiting room) fines patients $25 for canceling with less than 24 hours notice, shouldn't I be able to charge her for my waiting time? and (4) #*%$&#. I was irritated. I didn't want to take it out on the nurse but I also didn't want to wait another 30 minutes only to be told to wait longer. I also didn't want to have to take off an entire day of work every time I had a doctor's appointment. But perhaps this was just a bad day? I asked the nurse how long most patients wait to see Dr. Hilbert. She told me that the average wait was at least 30 minutes each time because Dr. Hilbert takes time with patients and doesn't rush them. OK. Then I asked how long my appointment would take if I stayed. The nurse told me that they blocked out 30 minutes for my appointment. Let me get this straight, Dr. Hilbert has her office block 30 minutes for a new patient consultation and full annual physical when it usually takes 15 minutes just to get through the medical history conversation? So yes, Dr. Hilbert probably needs to "take time" with her patients because she doesn't allot enough time for each appointment. If she consistently makes patients wait 30 minutes, perhaps she should consider expanding her work week from three days to four. I decided that Dr. Hilbert's practice, particularly her client service philosophy, is not for me. I'd rather waste one morning to find out that I don't want to see this doctor instead of wasting full days in the future sitting in a waiting room. After spending about 2.5 hours traveling to Dr. Hilbert's dreary office, sitting in the waiting room, and traveling to work, I am exactly where I was over a week ago (without a primary doctor or a check up), but at least I made it back to address MY business appointments ON TIME. read more

I have never had a doctor act as rudely to me as Dr. Hilbert. I recently had a medical issue come up on the weekend when my normal doctor wasn't available. Dr. Hilbert was the doctor on call and was supposed to call me back. The office had told me to call them back if I didn't receive a call from Dr. Hilbert within 15 minutes. I waited about and hour and then called again as instructed. The office then paged her again. When she finally called me back, the first thing out of her mouth was "you paged me...twice" in the rudest, most annoyed sounding voice as possible as though it was beneath her to speak to me about my issue. Way to relieve the anxiety that I was feeling. I had just been following the instructions that her office gave me. Instead of taking it out on a patient, she might want to update her staff on their policy if she isn't happy being paged more than once. Needless to say, I am extremely glad she isn't my regular doctor. read more

I really like Dr. Hilbert. She's really friendly and helpful. I've definitely had waits there (but that's true at almost every doctor's office I've ever been to) and it's sometimes tough to get an appointment within a short time frame, but I always feel like visits are worthwhile. read more

Dr. Hilbert has been my primary care doctor for 12 years. I have had personalized care both from her and from her Assistant Judith on every visit. I have also received call-backs and follow up calls promptly when I have called in for advice or prescriptions for recurring conditions (to save making an appointment when not necessary). I was sad to see some VERY old reviews showing up from one time visitors with complaints (like Pitbull Diva 2006?!!). They give patients the time they need in this office, and another patient might have to wait. On my most recent visit, I was early, and I was seen early. I prefer this to doctors who see 5-6 patients per hour and show up just to confirm a nurses diagnosis, prescribe, and move on. Dr. Hilbert is in her 40's, relates well to women who are younger, or child-bearing, or even in menopause. She is current and presents medical (and alternative) options clearly and carefully to aid in making empowered choices. As long as she is practicing she will be my primary care doctor. Her empathy and personal connection has made the difference for me staying with this practice as I have moved several times since becoming her patient and could easily find a more conveniently located doctor. read more

While I am sure Dr. Hilbert is a wonderful doctor, her staff is so severely retarded I have decided not to go to her..I have left her 3 messages and she has never returned one phone call..Her receptionists don't have any medical knowledge--didn't know how to spell antibiotic! I only met dr. hilbert once and had to wait 45 minutes for that..Then when i needed to see her, she wasn't available and they sent me to some other doctor in the practice who didn't care that the antibiotics i was on were making my stomach upset. SO basically, I am deciding not to go to her..How can one run a good practice if everyone you surround yourself with is completely stupid?! Basically the only time the office calls me to bug me about billing--something they should know how to do OR to reschedule an appointment because of scheduling conflicts..I'm over this! read more
