The instructors are excellent and they taught her how to drive and how to be safe on the road. That is the goal. The owner Gilli has gotten a bad wrap here on Yelp. She's not that bad folks. She got my daughter in for a road test very quickly during this Covid pandemic. She runs a tight ship and gets stuff done. As a physician, I wanted a school that would teach my daughter how to be safe on the road. I found that in the instruction at Sharon Driving School. If you want your child to learn how to drive safely and how to pay attention to the road and all surroundings then this is your school. Don't let scheduling challenges or personalities documented here dissuade you. I have cared for enough accident victims to know that I wanted a safe school with excellent teachers to help my child learn how to drive. My daughter's favorite instructors here are Donna, Francine, a kind man with short black hair she never got the name of, and Gilli herself. I IMMEDIATELY realized why the school is 5 stars. Just the way Mr. B instructs and teaches, he's very calm, patient, funny, and at the same time informative. Just a FEW lessons and you will feel amazed on the techniques he teaches. No intimidation, no discomfort, and 100% judgement free. I got my drivers license with ease and no faults. Even if you have practiced, I would recommend at least a class with Mr. B, because he will show you everything you need to do for the test. He will teach you the best techniques to make everything simpler! Scheduling is also very lenient on your availability. As for COVID safety, masks are required for lessons and Mr. B provides hand sanitizer every session.

Instead, we encountered extremely rude, unprofessional behavior. There are four female employees who answer the phone, and every interaction was unpleasant. They constantly talk over customers, interrupt, and cut them off, rather than listening and offering help. Their tone was hostile and dismissive from the start. We called to schedule driving classes for my wife. Because she cares for two small children, I handled the scheduling on her behalf. This should not have been an issue, but the staff made a big deal out of it and treated us disrespectfully. To resolve the issue, I placed my wife on a conference call, where she clearly authorized me to speak on her behalf. Even then, the employees behaved in a shady and inappropriate manner, repeatedly questioning her ability to speak "proper English," which felt unnecessary and offensive. My wife has already completed five driving lessons with another driving school and only needs technical practice before her driving test. We requested to book the required three classes and the driving test together so we could plan accordingly. The employee refused, claiming the test could not be booked until after all three classes were completed. This explanation appears misleading, as there is no legal requirement preventing a test from being scheduled in advance. It seems this policy is used to pressure students into taking additional lessons for financial gain, rather than acting in the customer's best interest. Overall, this business shows poor customer service, lack of transparency, and questionable business practices. We do not recommend this driving school and advise others to proceed with caution.

He texted Paul, one of the owners and teachers of the school, who did not answer my son until he sent an email on his 3rd attempt to schedule driving hours. Paul replied to my son that he was unavailable for immediate driving hours and that the school was booking into October. Also it's 1 hour of driving per week which means it would take 12 weeks to complete his driving hours, which to me is unacceptable. This is not stated on their website. My husband called the school to see if there was any way to rectify the situation or obtain a refund. He spoke with Alicia, who is also an owner/teacher, and she proceeded to speak to my husband like he was a 5 year old child. Disrespectful and demeaning towards your customers is not the way to run a business, especially when they are making an investment of $725 for the program. Alicia told my husband that they do not give refunds and that learning to drive is a very important lesson that cannot be rushed and must be taken seriously. Even worse, I noticed clear unfair treatment among students -- white students are allowed to retest sooner while Black students are made to wait much longer. That kind of discrimination has no place in any educational program, especially one that's supposed to help people build careers. If you're serious about getting your CDL, save your time and money and go somewhere that actually trains you and treats everyone equally. This place does not.

Tony was half the price and was such a great teacher I still refer to him as my "Driving Professor." I feel indebted to him after the extremely bad experiences with the other driving school and one other private one also. He is an expert who has taught extreme driving to the police force in his country and a real professional. He was one of the best people I have met in my life. IDK what is the problem with the bad reviews. Could it be they were not trying to learn? There is a law that anyone who wants to open an auto school must work for a big school for about a year first. One example he gave about working for the big school is they would schedule him what was purchased as a one hour class, say from 1-2 PM, but they would schedule his next class from 2-3 PM! He could not possibly get to the next student in time so all you got from the big school was 45 minutes but you paid for an hour. And they would not even try to schedule the next class nearby so often it was so far away that he couldn't even get there in 15 minutes without taking risks. He, in contrast, scheduled a class from 1-2 PM and the next one starting at 2:15 or 2:30 so every student got the full hour that they paid for. There is no better driving teacher you can find!

No grad has ever failed to enter a four-year college, and many (many) get into first-tier schools, often with terrific grants and scholarships. Al-Noor is intimate, everyone knows everyone, and the student/teacher ratio is about 15-to-one. Class sizes well under 20 usually, and everyone is invested in everyone else. It serves both standard academics (three R's) and Islamic education, which is absolutely first-rate according to Mideast scholars. It's remarkable, especially considering there is NO discipline trouble, naturally no substance abuse, no bullying nonsense. When trouble sometimes bubbles, it's instantly sniffed and snuffed, with alert tact. The only trouble is penury: education on a shoestring. But somehow, year after year, Al-Noor does it. Alhamdulillah! Grades six-12.
