I am telling you this from my personal experience. The best thing is to get a mediator (not from Aiello and DiFalco) to manage your affairs. It's better and cheaper. These predators will not advise you to use a mediator because they want your saving and retirement money. I spoke to over 28 attorneys on Long Island. Only 2 were worth hiring. The rest are all money hungry predators with Aiello and DiFalco as the worst. From 0 to 10 where 10 is the best, Aiello and DiFalco is 0 or less. You can't get any lower than this Firm. Avoid them at all costs. They will lie to your face and deliver nothing but an empty bank account. I lost everything because of the crap, poor/worst performance from Aiello and DiFalco, LLP. In court, Michael was an armature in front of a judge and the opposing council. He would have been better off sitting in the corner of the room with a dunce cap on his head. I could not believe it until I saw It for myself. All they want is your saving and then your retirement and they will deliver nothing to your satisfaction. If you read the other reviews in this profile, don't believe it. Those are paid review writers. Aiello and DiFalco pay other people to write a good to excellent review after they see someone write a bad one. That's right folks, they pay people to write reviews. Michael calls himself a trail attorney, he's not, he is a con man and a liar to his own clients. Once he sees your finances, him and his greedy partner schemes on how he can take as much money from you as possible without providing you proof of any work being done. Don't talk to him, don't trust him, don't believe a word they says. Aiello and DiFalco will bill you showing you a list of tasks they worked on and the time it took for them to complete the task. DON'T BELIEVE IT. What these people do is pull a phony list of tasks from there already prepared billings file. Modified those tasks to look like your case then submit it as your bill to his billing people. Don't believe it folks. It's all lies. Given how the normed culture of society tends to lean/favor the mother, I feared I wouldn't see nor have equal rights to raising my newborn daughter. Warren Hoffman started working for me, my rights, days before I retained his firm. At that moment I felt protected and represented- he was calm, cool, knowledgeable, no bells and whistles. I felt good going into their office and finalizing our agreement. Instead of Warren Hoffman, I was assigned Andrea Scampoli. Not knowing her name or reputation, I trusted the firm and agreed to her taking point on my case. What followed in the weeks to come was hard but hopeful because of Andrea. Andrea Scampoli was / is nothing short of a heroic, sharp, intelligent, as-a-matter-of-fact, don't F with her, dangerously good attorney. I'm into superheroes and she genuinely behaved like Wonder Woman. She was stoic, understanding, supportive but not wavering. I must say, she did put the other side's attorney to shame in our first meet. The poor guy seemed flustered and searching for pocket-change comebacks but couldn't find any. Whatever the cost, I knew I invested well. I knew I invested well when Andrea fought for my rights and gave me (and was giving me) all that I wanted: My daughter and the my rights to exercise my fatherhood. She made sure I was equal (if not gaining more) in any deal or agreement or compromise. You just have to work with her, be upfront, be honest, and she'll get you what you need (if your requests are reasonable and sound). That was all of February 2020! And some of March before the pandemic hit and we went through our lockdowns. Happily and warranted, it gave me and my suppose-to-be ex-wife time to heal and understand what happened between us. I will start off by saying that Teresa Raniere is an AMAZING R/E Attorney! We found her name in a Google search. We spoke with her several times over a weekend and decided to hire her. Teresa guided us through every step of our transaction! She went above and beyond. Teresa said she, "wants to be known as the attorney who does the right thing for her clients" and she has proven that throughout our experience. She has excellent character. She is fair. She is intelligent. She is patient. She listens. She answers questions and/or searches for answers to questions. She is professional. She is honest. She is very personable, caring and dependable. She protects her clients. She is diligent. She pays attention to detail. She is proactive in addressing issues or possible problems that may come up in the transaction. Teresa is very knowledgeable in her field. She is very thorough and double checks with state requirements and internet searches. She sends you supporting documents for your information and learning. She sends you preparation lists and timelines so there are no surprises. I have learned that with any contract, you should read it carefully because you are the one in the end signing it, not the person who wrote it whether it be a R/E agent, home inspector, repair person or lawyer. After Teresa created our contract, she was open to any clarifications or changes that I thought might be needed. We spent time going back-and-forth revising until we were both satisfied with it. We were both making sure that we were protected in our purchase and she was making sure that it was fair also to the seller. She literally rescued us from making a huge mistake. We were almost stuck buying a home that would have been a money pit... It is well worth your time reading about our experience. We were looking to purchase a manufactured mobile home in Glenwood Village, Riverhead. The R/E agent was putting pressure on us for the fact that the community was going to be bought out by Hometown America soon and she said that "the HOA fees most likely would increase by about $300 per month". The R/E agent told us we did not need an inspection nor an attorney for the purchase. She said, "it was like buying a car". She created a contract that required a $20,000 deposit and only protected the sellers. The contract was signed by us then the sellers and then sent back to us to fill in the date to be "Fully executed." Over the weekend we realized that we needed a R/E attorney. We found Teresa Raniere's name in a Google search and gave her a call. She spent hours on Saturday and Sunday of that weekend communicating with us and guiding us on how to handle our predicament. She recommended not sending the contract back with the date filled in and to cancel the deposit check ASAP. Thank goodness the R/E agent had not deposited it yet. Teresa spent hours creating an appropriate contract that not only protected us in the purchase but was fair and protected the sellers. She created it with 3 specific contingencies. 1. Hometown America would accept the HOA fees of the current owner since we weren't going to close before they bought the community. 2. The deposit would be fully refunded if the home inspection was not satisfactory and there were no repairs needed greater than $500. 3. The deposit would be fully refunded if we were not able to obtain homeowner's insurance. (Which we found out was quite difficult to obtain for a manufactured home and would have denied us in the end.) As it turned out Hometown America was agreeable with accepting the HOA fees. Thank goodness we had a home inspection. The inspector found that the unit needed at least $20,000 worth of repairs. In summary, the inspector reported the following: The unit needed a new roof. The hot water heater was not 1-year-old as they said and was not vented correctly. Sewage was leaking under the unit. One of the windows had a leak around it. The new dishwasher was not hooked up properly and was leaking under the sink. The list went on and on... Because of the condition of the roof the Inspector reported that the homeowner's insurance companies most likely would deny us coverage. The only homeowner's insurance company, Assurant, that would cover Manufactured Homes did deny us. Because of the contract with the contingencies that Teresa created and her constant guidance we were able to get our $20,000 deposit refunded. We are looking for another home for my sister. Teresa has already sent me information with possibilities and options for housing. We will certainly be hiring her again. I recommended her to all of my family and friends. As I said above, I highly recommend Teresa Raniere, R/E Attorney, to represent anyone buying or selling their home!!!

It sounded as though there is no way I could understand what it means to hire a lawyer to help with the sale of your property. From experience I know that if you don't like the way you are being addressed and you aren't even officially working with the business it only gets worse when/if you actually hire the person so this was a hard pass for me. We talked for 30' asking different questions about my case and she told me that she was going to email me with a questionaire to fill out and send back. I was looking my emails every day. She never got back to me. On 09/12/2025 I've called them back to ask if they had my email address written wrong. The receptionist followed the same routine as I was contacting them for the first time. She forwarded me to the same laywer and she started asking me the same exactly questions. When I told her if they are interested in my case, she replied we don't do cases like yours and we can refer you to another laywer, although they had originally told me that they were interested. She continued asking the same exactly questions we've been already through. So, I finally told her to stop wasting my time and I will find another laywer that will be interested in me and not only to the size of the case. I've found it totally unprofessional.
