Five Star Painting is Five Stars!…read more I cannot speak highly enough about Five Star Painting! This is saying something given that my husband and I are both quite picky about most things. We had our 1,400 square foot condo painted, and it was a brilliant job. We've wanted to do this for more than a year, and with both of us now working from home, found this an opportune time. However, there was also concerns about coronavirus, and having people in my home. FSP Rep Colson was very understanding of my concerns about being safe. I know it's a focus of this company's as well. We found the staff to be friendly, conscientious, and very good at their jobs. The entire team was great. The person taping the baseboards, doors, and windows was so incredibly precise and fast. The lead painter was amazing. While on stilts, he painted a perfect freehand edge at the top of every wall. Freehand! When we made suggestions or requests, they were more than happy to comply. With a smile. The team wanted to make sure we were happy with our home. This team went above and beyond to make sure we were completely happy. Now at the end of this job, we're completely in love with the colors we've chosen, and the beautiful way they were applied to the walls of our home. I will not hesitate to recommend Five Star Painting to my family and friends. In fact, I already have! High quality work, professional staff, and reasonably priced. We could not be happier. That said, the quality of the job done at my new house was so poor that I was compelled to give the public my experience of 5 Star's service quality for our property in the western suburbs of Columbus. I'll lead with the positives because it wasn't all bad. They were responsive and quite friendly with my wife (who handled the majority of the scheduling) while we were setting up the consultation. They were flexible with our times, and the site/project manager himself (Cole) was great to work with. He was flexible, heard our concerns after the fact, and did his best to fix them. We have no qualms with him or his attempts to rectify our situation. All that being said, this was the poorest paint job I've ever seen, and I used to paint interiors to pay for my schooling. I've seen slop jobs before and this was unlike anything I've ever experienced. Just to name a few of the issues... 1. Sanding dust was EVERYWHERE in our house upon moving in. No one cleaned it up after they finished, on either of our floors. Scratch that...my wife cleaned it up during our move in. Basic sanding rule is that you clean up the dust afterwards. Especially when it's not your house and you're doing a job for someone else. They didn't, so we had to breathe that stuff while our boxes were coming in. 2. There was paint dripping in every room. This is no exaggeration. I'm talking about our stove, outlets, bathroom floors, office carpet, curtain rods, etc. You name it and chances are it had paint dripping on it. 3. Clumped paint in the upstairs hallway, meaning rather than changing the can out they opted to scrape the bottom of the barrel. 4. Evidence of either poor/no taping around the edges, paint dripping onto several outlets. These are only to name a few of the things we had to deal with. We had them come back and fix whatever we could find on short notice, and to be fair they did try to correct some of the issues. But several weeks out we are still finding problems. Entirely unacceptable. Over this entire episode I started losing track of the issues at around #29-30. It would be comical if it weren't so infuriating. I have no idea what the problem was or why there was such a breakdown of quality control. But whatever it was, it should never have been our problem to deal with. We paid several grand for this job and, to be frank, I could have hired a few HS students from the school down the road for half that and they would have done a better job. Avoid this paint company. This last communication was sent on 09/09/2026 (several days before our review, we wanted to give them time to respond and make this right.). We also informed him directly that we would be leaving a review so that others could be informed of the shoddy work. We were ghosted and completely ignored, thus we left a review. We still have not received any communication from them as of this posting. While they may appear to be presenting an outward appearance of attending to customer concern, please note that our experience has been one met largely with private silence. Then he cursed me and threatened me with a lawsuit when I complained and asked for my money back. ALL of the work that was done has to be redone. I am out all of the money I spent and have to spend more to get the job done. The est was 10k I spent 5k and I got nothing for it. I DO NOT recommend for any kind of remodeling.

Ok these guys are not as cheap as your wife's Brother In Law's cousin but…read more..... This is the 2nd time in as many years that we used them. This time it was a rush situation for our Open House. They sent "Lon" out. Hope that was his correct name and this guy was as good or better than the two guys who came out 2 years ago. Very conscientious , helpful and really helped us cover my Buckeye Scarlet And Gray room back to a attractive, sellable bedroom. A light neutral color, he had to work to cover the Scarlet. Sadly he did a great job no more Buckeyes but a great 3 BR Condo in Grove City For Sale. I need to mention that originally I contacted Jenifer in her office her guys were booked and she apologized. On her OWN time, she checked some of her other offices, and found Patrick who got to us quick and got us done as promised. They came back to repair the damage and ended up painting my deck THE WRONG COLOR. The deck was green. My fence is the white color you see. So...he sort of painted it white but I guess he got tired around the railing spindles. I am awfully mad because I paid them money to come back and FIX THE WORK THAT SHOULD HAVE LASTED more than a couple years, right? I guess the joke's on me.

The whole expereince took 14 days, was professional and I paid the amount previously quoted. I have no reservations about recommending Sid and Larry.

Ray and his grandson did a wonderful job. Ray is very conscientious and an excellent painter. He has many years of experience and is a perfectionist. We could not have asked for a better outcome. Trey was very accommodating in helping us remove difficult items from the wall and heavy furniture. Luna Services group goes 'above and beyond' and are reasonably priced.
