Stern Painters broke 3 windows, did not use drop cloths resulting in paint on the hardwood floors, brand new carpeting, light fixtures, wood stair case etc. They also damaged window coverings in the process. Additionally they left food in reach of our dogs which made them ill. We had to hire a new painter to come in to correct all of the cabinets and doors. If there was any area I would say there could be an improvement: some trim and surfaces were not well-masked or covered and dried paint and dust had to be scrubbed and cleaned off of trim, floor, or other surfaces. This was not the end-of-the-world and Segor did some of this clean up, but some was left to us and I would prefer if this could have been more avoided.

Todd Buoni is the owner and operator of TFB Painting. I run a property management business where…read morewe need to paint many houses per year prior to new tenant occupancy. Weve worked with Todd on six properties to date and hes cost us time and money on half of them. Our problems with Todd began in September of 2011. Todd was hired to paint the interior of our inventory home on Cherry Leaf. This was a vacant home and quoted by Todd to be no more than a two day job. Five days later I visited the property for an inspection based on Todds communication the previous day that the work was finally completed (on the fourth day). Upon my arrival and to my surprise, I found Todd exiting the property with a slight alcohol odor stating he was completing touch up work. After my inspection of the home I proceeded to follow Todd to his truck to collect the final invoice and make payment for his services. When he opened his truck a few empty beer cans fell out of his drivers side door. Without me saying a word, Todd immediately jumped on the defensive stating that he wasnt drinking on the job and the empty cans left over from before. I explained that I wasnt there to judge his activities off my job site, but when I bent over to assist in the clean-up I noticed that the cans were fresh and couldnt have been more than an hour or two old due to odor and temperature. I immediately explained to Todd that hes not permitted to drink alcohol before or while working on one of our jobs. He started to lie to further defend himself. I gave him a stern look, and he then quickly apologized with Im sorry, it wont happen again.The second issue occurred with Todd was scheduled to meet us with our tenant who was taking possession of our luxury home on Coachmen Ln. Todd failed to show to this appointment and never gave previous communication to cancel or reschedule. The tenant had also contacted their own painter to quote the work. My calls and texts went unanswered until about a half hour later, when Todd returned the call with a bit of slur in his voice to say hed already been at the home and would have me a quote shortly but the quote never came, because Todd never accessed the property as he claimed. Our tenant elected to use the other painter and this made our management operation took awful. At this point we decided against using Todd for any future projects.
