My favorite fish store in Green Bay! A nice variety of fresh and salt water fish. Also an ideal place to buy corals as well.

An ideal fish store for the medium experienced to better experienced aquarium aficionado. For the…read morebeginning aquarium person, you won't get totally lost here, but make it very clear that you are just starting out. That, just sold the store can service you better. From looking at all the local private and chain stores, Advanced has the hands-down best selection of plants and larger species versions (more mature and larger fish) in the area. Several unique fish of different sizes, and definitely the most unique and numerous types of shrimp (above the level of "feeder-type"). Not a large selection of support accessories and food, but the essentials. Some very unique Driftwood types available, and the only place I've seen offering coconut shells (for use as a natural-looking hiding habitats for fish). Also periodically carries very unique and rare types of fish. If they're not available at the time of your visit, the owner is very prompt and getting back to you as soon as a shipment of them comes in. The owner is quite knowledgeable of both fresh and saltwater, makes excellent selection suggestions, Is very friendly and personal, and willing to take as much time is needed to make sure you're in formed about what you're looking for or your choices. If you need your water tested down to the "N-th" degree, He can do it for you. Hands-down, the best overall privately run aquarium/fish store in the area.

We thought the business was closed for the day. My husband had to go to the urgent care. The owner pulls up banging on our truck window, being rude, and trying to open our truck door because he wanted us to move the truck. He's lucky my husband wasn't the one he was talking to or he would've gotten punched. Such an angry, rude man when everything could've easily been resolved with a simple conversation. Update: After we moved our truck, I walked down the street to the shell gas station. I believe he saw me walking and followed me down the street in his truck. I was already back inside of our truck when he caught up with me. He was shouting at me to "take my fucking review down". I told him I won't so he starting taking pictures of my husband and I on his phone and then drove off. Then he messages me instead of replying publicly to my review on Yelp with lies about the validity of our truck information and accusations of harassment, when he's the one stalking people through the streets, trying to enter our truck without consent, and trying to bully me from sharing me true experience with him. He behaves as if he wants to physically harm a woman. So weird and aggressive. Be careful who you spend your money with.

Don't ever take your cat for grooming here in Green Bay. They are so rude it's unbelievable! I…read morebrought my rescue cat in for what was probably his first bath. I told them he was very good natured but didn't know how he would react to a bath. They said it would be a couple of hours so they could make sure he was totally dry. in about a half hour I got a call from the groomer and she yelled over the phone that we had to pick him up immediately and he was never welcome back because he bit her. She yelled that there was blood everywhere. When we arrived he was in his crate on the counter and still wet. The groomer came out with a small bandaid on her finger and continued yelling at us. She said he bit her when she turned the blow dryer on him. She told us that we were banned from the store(as if we'd ever come back) and also yelled that she was calling animal control on us (which I knew she couldn't do). Obviously she didn't understand cats at all. Later on I took him to a professional groomer at my vets and she told me that she would never ever turn a blow dryer on a cat. She told me that 90% of cats won't tolerate a blow dryer. In the past we have spent a lot of money at Petsmart for our other cat and have donated to every charity that they sponsored. Petco is our new go-to store and grooming will only be done by a professional at our vet.

Watched her through the glass for a few mins and left. 30 mins later Jamie the salon manager called and said she's bleeding on her ear. They finally stopped the bleeding but since she has an open sore. She needs to be picked up. They can't groom her. When I arrived they said she was bleeding when she came in. She scratched herself. In no way was she bleeding when she came in. She's white. I would have seen it. Also why wait 30 mins to call me and say she's bleeding. Would you have noticed when you looked her over upon her arrival. They obviously cut her ear when they started. No apologies from Jamie. Just that it was my fault it seemed. Please don't go here. I love my pet. Big brick and mortar stores don't have the kind of attention that small groomers have. Stay away from this place.

They told us to come back in a few hours ( which I thought was a long time) to make sure he was totally dry. In about a half hour, the groomer called, yelling hysterically that he bit her and there was blood everywhere, that he was not welcome there ever again, that we had to come back immediately and get him. We went right back and found him sitting in his crate on the counter, still very wet. The groomer came out with a small bandaid on her finger and was still hysterically yelling at me. She said that our cat bit her when she turned the blow dryer on him. He was probably frightened by it and the only reaction cats have when they fear something is to bite or scratch. She told us that we were banned from the store and that she was calling animal control on us ( which I knew she couldn't do. In the past we have spent a lot of money for food and supplies here and also contributed to all their charitable events. We will never set foot in here again. Later on I took our sweet boy to a professional groomer at our vets office and she told us that she would never use a blow dryer on a cat because 90% or more cats will not tolerate them.

I started treatment immediately and went back to the store for a new filter. This is when I noticed the tank I bought my fish from was infested with ick and it was not quarantined. At home the ick spread in my tank despite my best efforts. Daily 20% water changes, daily treatment, removed the filter, and increased the water temperature. After a week of diligent treatment the ick did not budge. So today I found a new treatment. Unfortunately I came home to find more casualties. My tank of 5 baby fancy goldfish, 1 Cory cat, 2 snails and 7 guppies has been decimated. I'm now left with 1 snail. I 100% blame Colonial Pet Shoppe for their lack of animal care leading to this infestation. I will never buy fish from them again and I recommend you don't either. The picture I attached is my Black Moore after a week of treatment.

They also have a wide variety of lizards, reptiles, rodents, birds, and the occasional batch of ferrets, bunnies and kitties. Some of the other pet items are a little more pricey, but it's definitely worth it when you're supporting your local business-owner. :)
