Going somewhere new for a haircut is one of my least favorite things. Going somewhere new for a haircut in a new city, downright terrifying. I found Sharps via Yelp because it was close. The reviews looked okay and they were open. Lamonte seems to be all over the place, so I didn't expect him to be available. My thoughts were confirmed when I walked him and he asked if I had a reservation. My experiences have never included needing a reservation at a barbershop. Thinking it was time to find another shop, he said he had a barber that just pulled in and would be able to take me. Arnetha came in and trimmed me right up. Perfect fade, just how I like it. I even got a little adventurous and cut the top a little shorter. Overall, great cut (wife loves it so even better) in a relaxing environment. If I'm ever needing a trim in the VB area, this will be my spot. read more

The guy that cut my hair was nice but this was probably the worst haircut I've ever gotten he didn't use scissors one time just a razor and didn't seem to really know how to cut hair if you weren't getting it cut super short. Plus it was kinda expensive and the guys fingers smelled like he just finished taking a shit and didn't wash his hands. read more

DIDN'T PUSH THE LINE BACK! 1st time customer; called to see who could shape up the frohawk and was instructed to make an appointment on their app. Tho the app didn't seamlessly integrate w my android,it was straight forward and I booked that day. Lamont greeted me as I walked thru the door unlike a lot of shop owners. Got to see him finish up the guy in front of me who had a fresh taper all around and clean lineup. Since moving to Virginia Beach I have been a regular with Lamonte and always pleased with his work. I come every 2-3 weeks for a fade and beard trim and Lamonte is always professional, friendly, and has me in and out the chair in good time with amazing results results. The atmosphere of the barbershop is clean and inviting as well. Prices are fair and there is even a military discount on Mondays. I normally schedule an appointment a little after opening and come with my 1 year old son who doesn't have the highest patience level, however Lamonte is able to get me in the chair and have me on my way before my son reaches his melting point. read more

I made an appointment via Yelp for my son. We weren't seen until 25 mins. after our scheduled appointment. Normally that would have made me think twice about coming back! I think the fact that the barber apologized and acknowledged that he was running behind on time was real testament of his professionalism.
