Prior to the big day, they delivered the supplies and dumpster and on the actual day the crew arrived ready to go! They quickly set up the protective nets around the whole house and then stripped the old shingles, fixed the hole and replaced bad boards. This was my first roof replacement and I had no idea what to expect, but they were done so quickly! They were there approximately from 8-2ish, if I remember correctly. They did a great cleanup job as well. I was going to write a review when this was done a month ago but forgot. To my surprise, a cookie delivery came today thanking us for our business! I'd highly recommend them and hire them again. Frank and Josh communicate immediately through text and call, do a careful one hour in person consultation, and even bring along a heat lamp and sample windows to educate on five different varieties of quotes. They are kind, intelligent, and respectful when working through our limited budget. They didn't finish the outer walls, didnt use a gfi outlet for the bathroom outlet, never scheduled the final inspection, and left 2 piles of trash, (1 inside, 1 outside). Communication was horrible, often weeks at a time without it, and the project manager Dan still won't return messages about finishing the project!!!! Run, don't walk, away from this company!!!!

A massive waste of time. We called and made an appointment with a salesman. On the phone we told…read morehim we were looking for European style doors or something a little more modern styled. He said they sold Marvin doors and that I could look on their site to see if they had the sort of style we were looking for. On the Marvin site they did in fact have the kind of style we were looking for. We came in for our in-person appointment, the salesman showed us French doors, not really what we were interested in so I showed him the Marvin site. He said "we sell Marvin doors but not TruStile." Apparently TruStile was bought by Marvin but for whatever reason Affordable Windows and Doors doesn't sell particular lines in a brand they carry? He didn't offer up any alternatives in a similar style from perhaps another door company and made no attempts to actually help us find something in the style we were looking for. He basically showed us one French door, told us we don't sell doors like the ones on the site he told us to go look on and that was it. Guess I'll order from the door company directly.

Steve at Mr. Handyman reached out right away and asked me to call him to discuss the details. I called Steve to explain a job I needed done involving an access door from my garage. He explained what he thought would be the best approach and that one of his employees would give me a better idea when he arrived for the quote. Steve explained the pricing, hourly rate, etc. and that his employee would give me a final quote before starting any work. Derek arrived on time for the appointment (I also got a text when he was on his way which was a nice touch). We went through all the details together, he explained what he would do and the estimated cost. I agreed and he got to work. He did an excellent job and the door looks great. I asked about a second project involving our swing set which he thankfully had time to include. Again, he went over all the details and estimates before proceeding. The work quality was again absolutely excellent. Derek cleaned up his work area completely. The final price came in exactly where expected, which I will also say I think is a fair price for the length of time he was here and the quality of the work performed. He asked me about any other needs I had and gave me some documentation regarding the most common jobs his company handles in case I need anything in the future. I can't think of anything about the process that could have been improved here. I would definitely give them a call again if I need anything!
