Let me start…read moreby saying upon my first visit to see this place the front desk person's office looks like that off an episode of hoarders on top of that she is running SPCA- out of her desk. She had a bunch of kittens she was caring for like a pet daycare of some sort. Unprofessional! They got my daughter a counselor from out of state for telephone counseling. 3 sessions later Michelle the counselor decided she would no longer be her counselor because she thinks my daughter is using her for disability? My daughter is mentally handicapped and has been diagnosed by that very same office? Michelle has access to her records spoke to her for 3 hours and decided my daughter should take a career placement test? She didn't have a career issue she has mental issues that needed to be addressed. I called Alex to inform him of this situation and he told me he would get my daughter another counselor- that was 4.5 weeks ago and he has not called back- left a message and no call back. This office and it's staff doesn't care about you or your mental health Honestly if you are a person looking for mental health help or have a loved one please stay clear of this very unprofessional, uncaring place!!! It's the Walmart of health care. I'm still in shock at the low level care they offered then completely abandoned a patient. Unreal

I have never been treated so disrespectfully and harshly from someone claiming that they want to…read morehelp people. My husband and I went to see Mrs. Parker for some marriage counseling. On my individual appointment with her, I discussed my hopes in the future to have another baby. Mrs. Parker was very harsh and told me that "An unselfish mother would worry about the children she has now." She crossed the line and almost made me have a panic attack because she attacked me so very badly. She knew I had a lot of childhood trauma and very sensitive, but that did not stop her. She even knew she had crossed the line. I hesitantly went to the next appointment thinking some people just have bad days, maybe it wasn't a good time for her either. I wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt. She apologized to me, explaining that I had been on her heart all weekend and that she was praying I would come back. She told me she got impatient as a therapist and tried to pull me out of it right then and there, but knew that she had to let me do the work and just guide me. Now, I should have seen all these warning signs, but since we only had one bad session, I continued to go. We were scheduled to see her every Wednesday evening. My husband had gotten hurt at work and had to spend several hours at the urgent care getting x-rays and stitches. It was about 2 hours before our appointment with Mrs. Parker, and I text her as soon as I found out to cancel. I also asked if we should make a payment because we had cancelled too close to our appointment. She text me back and stated " No. This is something you could not avoid. Emergencies happen sometimes. I understand that." And then let me know that "I am sorry he got hurt. I will see you next week." The following Monday, Mrs. Parker texts me to confirm my appointment for Tuesday afternoon. I was extremely confused because she told us we were scheduled every Wednesday and that we had that "slot". I thought there was some kind of mistake. The response that I received in return was awful. There really was a lack of empathy, sympathy, compassion, and general warmth. It's unfortunate that she is only concerned with dollars and cents.

My wife visited initially, then we started as a couple. Vickie works to equip us with tools and skills to communicate and improve our relationship. She's very good at listening and helping to find the root of the problem instead of just dealing with surface issues. The office is very comfortable, and she is punctual in getting from one appointment to the next. She is very good at telling you what you need to hear in a kind way, and giving you a map to help develop the necessary skills.

The WORST EXPERIENCE!! I called to get setup for intake and was told to come in Friday between…read more10-12:30 which are the only hours available to complete the intake. Day of there was no one available to do intake that they had setup the hours for. My husband gets a call from a random number from a Toni child's who is not a noted member of there team on the website. I call to inquire about the professional relationship between shasta options and this therapist that does not introduce herself as a working part of shasta options. I was met with snide and half hearted responses. The receptionist refused to give me her name or provide any information on their current staff of therapists. She did state that they have known Toni for 30 years so that should be enough for someone that is going to be letting their heart out, right. So disgusted with her behavior and the way this establishment has handled business.
