I truly love anytime I get to go and walk around Michael's, whether I buy nothing or I buy $100 worth of stuff I didn't even know I needed. This year, on my last trip to Michael's, I found candy Wafers and decided I was going to make candy for Christmas this year. Had this not happened, I might not have ever known that I wanted to do that! I love the store, the selections that they have of everything, and love the layout. It's always super easy to navigate and find what you're looking for any Michael's. Typically my trip to the store involves going to the yarn aisle, the planner aisle, or the sticker oil. This store gives me inspiration on what I want to do, whether it's in my scrap books, with a crochet needle, or how I want to plan out my year. I will say that the seasonal help is a lot less friendly then there year-round help. They seem to be a little more short and kind with their customers. People seem to forget that we are the reasons that they even have jobs during the holiday season. However I understand they're just temporary help so I don't let it affect my view on Michael's. The store makes me happy no matter what I deal with at the register. If I could give the CEO of Michael's just one suggestion, I feel that you should get a loyalty discount card that is based on how much money you spend. As much as I enjoyed there is always some awesome sale or some great coupon out there that you could take advantage of, there would be nothing better than having a car that allows me to take $20 off my bill on top of everything because I've spent over $1,000 throughout the year. I went into the store 2 months later (same icy reception) to check on the pillow and was told that it takes a minimum of three months to make the pillow. Fine. I got a call two weeks ago saying my pillow was lost and could I bring a photo of my project so they could replace the canvas and thread. Ok. I walked into the store last week to reconcile this heartbreaking mistake. The stores attendants again stared at me like I was wrecking their day for the interruption with my pillow. At the time of the event, Gina was a miracle of patience and positivity and she made sure to give the kiddos the best slime-making experience I have ever seen them have! For a long time now, I have been really wanting to go to Sarasota School of Glass and create…read moresomething beautiful. Then I saw that there was a Groupon for it, and told my daughter that is what I want to do for my birthday this year. I booked it online and was so happy that they were open on a Tuesday, because that was my actual birthday. During the online booking process we each had to choose between vase, wavy bowl or plate. My daughter and I both chose to create a wavy bowl. Then we looked for inspiration online on how we wanted to design our wavy bowls so we would have some sort of plan when we arrived and have maximum time to work on our projects. It was a beautiful drive from Clearwater. The studio had so many creative pieces to look at. Our instructor was great and taught us everything we would need to know about cutting the glass and items we could use to create our own unique masterpieces. We came back a week later to pick up our fused glass art after it had been placed in the kiln. We had such an amazing time, and I can't wait to go again. This may be my new addiction. There are so many different projects to choose from at the studio. We were so happy and proud of our finished wavy bowls when we picked them up. It was such an incredibly fun way to celebrate my birthday. I will be back!
